About this property
Gibbes - The Pavilion: Luxurious 2 bed apartment - Sleeps 4, West Coast
Gibbes Pavilion is your West Indian holiday dream come true - a luxurious two bedroom apartment nestled in the lush and tranquil grounds of a historic Barbadian plantation house.
Climb the stairs of this superb first-floor apartment to a sweeping double aspect veranda overlooking tropical gardens, before entering the open plan living and dining area, complete with an airy, vaulted ceiling and excellently appointed furniture. The area also benefits from a flat screen television with a host of satellite channels, as well as beautiful views across to the pool area and gardens.
The bespoke kitchen area is fully fitted with all appliances for self-catering, with all equipment and utility costs included. Maid and laundry service are offered as standard, and baby-sitting can also be provided.
Bedroom 1 has a super king size bed and is fully air-conditioned with extensive wardrobe space. Bedroom 2 has the same specification, but with two large single beds which can also be converted into one large double. Both bedrooms have individual, spacious ensuite bathroom facilities.
Gibbes Pavilion has access to a shared swimming pool by the House and boasts its own large sun terrace verandah. It is perfectly located for island exploring, water sports on the beach or just as a hideaway for ultimate relaxation.
Along with the swimming pool and sun terrace, there are almost two acres of gardens that make up the Gibbes estate, in which guests can simply just relax and enjoy at their leisure.
Gibbes Pavilion has a House Manager who will be present throughout the day and will be available to assist in all aspects of your stay. In the evening, a night watchman is available - please enquire for further details.
Gibbes Beach is widely considered by many to be the best beach on the west coast of Barbados. One of the most unpopulated too, it is perfect for relaxing in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere under the warm West Indian sun. The crystal clear and incredibly calm waters are great for a soothing and relaxing swim.
Gibbes is an excellent choice for water sports enthusiasts and the House Manager will be only too happy to make reservations and arrange equipment hire. For a little excitement, try the water skiing and experience the wave runners. Our beach is also great for snorkelling.
The Pavilion is situated between both Holetown, with its fantastic range of fashion boutiques, bars and restaurants, and Speightstown, otherwise known as Little Bristol, just to the north with its beautiful colonial architecture and its sleepy fishing village feel. Speightstown is home to the Arlington House Museum as well as a number of art galleries and small cafes and delicatessens.
Be it a visit to the exquisite St Nicholas Abbey to sample their rum, or a restaurant reservation at The Cliff or Daphne s to name but two, some holiday shopping at Limegrove, a spa day or even a course of water-skiing, we can arrange it all. Leaving you free to simply enjoy everything Barbados has to offer.
