Waterfront Wingaersheek Beach Unobstructed Panoramic Ocean and Lighthouse Views
At the end of a road, perched on rocks, this remarkably sited year-round waterfront home accesses sparkling smooth white sandy beaches with great tidal variations and shallow water for toddlers. The ocean facing deck has dramatic 270 degree views up the coast of New England to Maine and across the bay to the Annisquam lighthouse. The house has central AC and heating and an outdoor hot shower. The first floor is wheelchair accessible and parking is available for 4 cars. All are welcome.

Spectacular setting on rocky point above surging tides, beaches, vistas. Wonderful, responsive host. Immaculate, expansive home with huge seaside deck, walls of windows, and cozy dining and conversation areas, luxurious bedrooms and a gourmet kitchen. Perfect setting for family vacations!
This home was everything we hoped for. It is super close to a private, clean, uncrowded beach and the views from the deck and every room are unparalleled. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need to cook at home. The home itself was clean, spacious, and beds were comfortable. There were 4 adults and 2 kiddos and we had plenty of space. The owner was friendly and responsive to questions. Would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone looking for a quiet beach vacation!
This is the second time staying at this home. The views are beautiful, location is great, short walk to the beach, all the necessary kitchen utensils, good wifi and comfortable beds. This house is unique as it has the views of both Coffin’s beach and Wingaersheek beach. Fantastic rental!
This house is almost comically perfect: perched on boulders overlooking not one, but two, sugar-sand beaches on shallow-pan bays that warm up the Atlantic waters and are safe for children many yards out. Views from every room, sea breezes, lovely deck. The owner is also lovely -- a pretty serious plumbing problem was dealt with in one day (for which we were comped.) Very quiet spot, but there's so much to do nearby -- really good restaurants, walks, shopping, art galleries, etc. Wolf Hollow, Castle Hill, Halibut Point.... recommend!
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home with great views from every room. The deck was large and we spent a lot of time out there relaxing and playing games. The house is very clean, very comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. A perfect private beach vacation!
We wanted ocean and that is what we got. Most of our time was spent outdoors. We appreciated the grill and lawn chairs and beach towels and even tried the kayak.
Fall is a great time to visit the beach. We had great weather, and not many people around. The local private beach had gulls, sandpipers, plovers, and we even saw a Peregrine Falcon and a fox. We decided to not go to to many places around the area because we are relatively local, and the time was better spent at the house or walking on the beach.
The kitchen was well appointed, and every room had great views. Tamara was very flexible with requests during the booking process.
This was our family’s first trip to Cape Ann and the Massachusetts coast. We couldn’t have been more thrilled when we pulled up to Tamara’s oceanside home. It is literally built on top of the coastal rocks and you feel as if you’re on the edge of the world.
It’s incredibly peaceful especially in the mornings with a cup of coffee sitting on the back porch or even out on the adjacent rocks. Our favorite daily ritual became walking from the house to the long sand bar at low tide. Our kids loved finding shells and sand dollars, watching the tide move back in again as the day progressed. The private beach in front of the house is a perfect spot to swim or just nap in the sun.
As to the interior, the house has a simple beach energy and decor. It has just what is needed throughout, comfortable beds, plenty of towels and extra blankets for chilly nights. Tamara has thought of all the essentials for the kitchen and it was easy to prepare all our meals at home. Because of the way the house is situated, when you open the windows there is a beautiful breeze and this made afternoon naps some of the best we'd ever had!
Tamara was super communicative and quick to reply to questions when I reached out during our stay. The house feels loved and warm and very family centered and this is the sense you get when you talk to Tamara too.
Our family had a magical first time experience here and we will definitely book again in the future. It was one of my favorite rental houses we have ever stayed in and definitely one of the best locations in the area.
The views are spectacular! The home is well kept and clean. The kitchen had all the necessary cookware and utensils. This rental provided my family the opportunity to unplug and fully relax and enjoy our time together.
The entire experience was great. The house was clean and was exactly like the pictures only better. The bed was very comfortable. Definitely would rent here again.
What a beautiful and thoughtfully-designed home. Comfortable spaces to relax, enjoy the amazing views, and spend time with our family (including children, parents; and grandparents). At low tide each morning, we climbed down to the secluded beach right outside to swim, look for crabs and sand dollars, and build sand castles.. We spent afternoons and evenings on the expansive deck, grilled our dinner, and took evening walks along the beach. We can’t wait to hopefully return some day!
The house is in a perfect location, out on a point between Wingaersheek Beach and Coffins Beach. Beautiful views. The house has all the amenities we needed. Tamara is a great host.
The house is beautiful with incredible ocean views!
We had plenty of sheets and towels, a full and complete kitchen and air conditioning on the few nights that we needed it. The home is close to the beach and the space is open and airy.
This was our second stay here and we loved it again! The location so close to the beaches and amazing views make for a great week with family. The owner is extremely thoughtful and ensures guests are comfortable and feel at home. The house is well appointed with all the essentials for a relaxing stay. My entire family, young and old, were happy and enjoyed the week.

A relaxing sea-side vacation
We picked this home based on the photos and location. The previous reviews were spot-on. The views from the deck or inside (during bad weather) are amazing. There isn’t a bad view in the home which is perfectly designed for its location. You have the feeling that there are no neighbors which is certainly a plus!
The beds are comfortable and each bedroom has wonderful views and the ever-present sound of waves.
Tamara was a gracious host and our experience was wonderful because of it. We’ll certainly be back for another stay.

A special place
This was a special place on a point off the Gloucester Wingaersheek Beach. We were here in the month of October. There is a wrap around ocean view with wonderful beach access. The house is modern, warm and cozy even in the sometimes strong winds that visit the beach. What a pleasure to sit in the living room and see the moonlight on the water and hear the sounds of the sea and sea birds, to cook a dinner while watching the waves lap up on the rocks below and enjoy a cocktail on the deck on a moonlit evening to the soft sounds of the little lighthouse on the far shore. All together a delightful experience.

Exquisite natural beauty
My husband and I are profoundly grateful for the privilege of living at this beach house as a winter rental. The beauty that surrounded us through those months was so spectacular it seemed at times surreal. The views inspire peace and wonder; nature calling upon a profound reverence within us.
The rising sun greeted us across the bay, followed by the mesmerizing flow on the “black cormorant highway” a stone’s throw away, punctuated by an occasional feeding frenzy of schools of fish, the song of a loon, the quiet gliding of a variety of ducks and the unmistakable sounds of the gulls in search of a “crabby” snack. Finally, dazzling sunsets and moonglow completed the days.
The house stands on a striking outcropping of rocks that dip into the ocean. Being the furthest house on this part of the shore, it almost feels like there are no neighbors. Most rooms have a gorgeous view of the ocean, the kitchen is roomy (with stunning views as well) and the deck large and inviting. On stormy days, we enjoyed the amazing view from the safety of a solid and well-designed home. At high tide, sitting in the great room, you can easily imagine being on a boat.
With the option of two sandy beaches for strolling, the ocean to play in, and incredible nature to contemplate, this is an exceptional location for a home. We would gladly return to live there again and again. We found a sense communion with nature that touched our hearts deeply and experienced a deep sense of joy from being there each day.
Thank you, Tamara and family, for sharing your delightful home with us.
In kindness,
Annie&Dan

Fabulous with Incredible Views
Beautiful direct ocean location. View of the Annisquam Lighthouse. The beach is white sand, great for long walks. Low tide is a special time giving walkers long sand bars to venture to. Quick day trips to Rockport & Gloucester are a short drive and offer great historical significance,

About the host
Your host
This has been a very loved family home for more than 50 years. My children grew up spending summers learning to swim and search for shells. The house was re-built about 20 years ago. I've spent many hours lost in the sounds of the ocean and the spectacular views of birds, boats and clouds that the house affords with so many windows.
Why they chose this property
It's such a special location.
What makes this property unique
Unobstructed, 270 degree ocean view. There's good swimming, clear clean water, fine sand.
