About this property

In northern Provence, 10 minutes from Nyons (the olive capital) and less than 20 minutes from Vaison-la-Romaine (medieval upper town, Roman ruins), the villa “La Farigoule” will enchant you with its views, its quiet setting and secluded position. The villa is an ideal starting point for visiting the region with its delightful villages, Provencal markets and wineries or is perfect for simply relaxing. The city of Avignon - a UNESCO world Heritage site - is only an hour away and worth a visit. Young children will thoroughly enjoy a hike in the shallow waters of the Gorges du Toulourenc.
For keen cyclists the top of Mont Ventoux is only 33 kms away from ‘La Farigoule’ but there are a lot of other easier (and gorgeous) journeys as well.
For climbing amateurs, there are numerous sites within about 30 minutes: "Les dentelles de Montmirail", Le "Saint Julien", etc...

Quiet Mirabel villa with views

The villa is spacious, comfortably furnished and has a lovely view of the village of Mirabel aux Baronnies. The gardens and pool are great. There are two little sun rooms where you can relax if the weather is cool. The country style kitchen is well equipped with most things a cook might need (except a microwave but that was fine by us). There are two bathrooms (one with separate toilet) one brand new and very smart that is shared by a double bedroom and the upstairs twin sleeping area, the other bathroom is next to the second bedroom. Overall, a pleasant place to spend a week with lots of pretty touring and ancient towns nearby.

Ferienhaus mit wunderschöner Außenanlage mit tollem Pool

die Vermieter, die nicht vor Ort sind, sind sehr aufmerksam und kommunikativ. Wegen Problemen bzgl. des Wassers in einem Bad haben Sie uns eine großzügige Mietminderung angeboten. Das Haus ist zwar schon ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen, aber Außenanlage und Pool sowie die Lage des Hauses und der Blick sind grandios.

Fijn huis in een prachtige omgeving.

Geweldig verblijf gehad in deze ruime vakantiewoning. Voldoende privacy. Er zijn huizen in de omgeving dus daar hoor je wel eens wat geluid van, maar nooit echt hinderlijk. Het zwembad is geweldig. De rolafscherming houdt de warmte heel goed vast en vuil buiten. Keuken is wat gedateerd maar het keukengerei is uitgebreid genoeg, dus er kan prima gekookt worden. Nyons is een erg leuke plaats in de buurt met veel leuke en goede restaurantjes.

Super schön 😊

Meine Frau Karin und ich haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Die Aussicht aus dem Wohnzimmer ist der Wahnsinn 😁. Die beiden liebenswerten Vermieter Isabelle und Eric sind absolut fantastisch. Auch die Lage des Ferienhaus ist super, nur 5 Minuten nach Nyons. Es gibt natürlich auch noch sehr viel mehr schöne Städte in der Nähe, Grignan, Avignon, Orange, ... Wir werden nächstes Jahr wieder kommen und freuen uns schon sehr darauf. Karin und Peter

Paradise in Provence

This is so much more than a house! If you want the experience of staying in a gorgeous home where the landscaping, architecture, air and light make you feel like you're in an Impressionist masterpiece, this is it. The high point of every day of exploring the local sights was always coming back to this house. The landscaping and pool make would always say, "Welcome back to your own heaven!" The house is beautifully equipped (about a thousand DVDs if you ever get tired of gazing at the views.... which you won't!) and Eric and Iabelle could not be bettered as hosts. Our highest recommendation (and thank you Eric for the fabulous vacation!).

Stilvolles, großzügiges Haus in herrlichem Garten. Mit zwei Schlafbereichen für zwei Paare perfekt geeignet. Liegt in einer besonders schönen und vielseitigen Ecke der Provence.

Traumhafte Ferien in einem Traumanwesen

Das Haus und der unglaublich schöne Garten mit den Provencedüften haben uns sofort in eine Ferienstimmung versetzt. Morgens haben wir in der Nähe des Pools gefrühstückt, am Abend auf der Terrasse gegessen. Der Pool war sehr gepflegt. Wir waren zu Dritt. Wir hatten für jede Partei ein schönes Schlafzimmer und Bad. Ein Bad wurde sehr schön renoviert. Der Kontakt mit den Vermietern war sehr angenehm.

Ein toller Aufenthalt

Wir haben einen tollen Uralub hier verbracht.Das haus war sehr weitläufig und bot viele Plätzchen zum entspannen. Der Pool war perfekt und es gab ausreichend Liegestühle und Sitzplätze im Freien. Toll war an einem Regentag, dass es einen Wintergarten gab, in dem wir uns gemütlich aufhalten konnten. Der Garten und der Ausblick waren traumhaft.Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen!!

Un p'tit coin de paradis

Un endroit magnifique pour se relaxer et profiter d'une très belle piscine. Tout est prévu pour faciliter une installation rapide. Excellente situation géographique pour visiter, randonner, pédaler ... Et très bonne boulangerie à 3 minutes !

Impressive house, location and pool

The house was in a stunning location, lovely and spacious too. The garden and swimming pool are breathtaking and so beautiful and well kept. It was very peaceful our only wish was to be able to stay longer. Would definitely love to return

About the host

My husband and I are both French citizens. We came to the UK in 1989 keen to immerse ourselves into a new culture and never left. We raised four children and once the little one reached university started looking for a new project. We had been spending our summer holidays in the Luberon/Provence area and really enjoyed this part of France. So we bought our place in 2016 to a passionate and talented gardener who became a close friend of ours. The rest is history.

Why they chose this property

The 180 degrees view is just so beautiful and peaceful. The hills on the left, Mont Ventoux in front in the distance, Mirabel village rooftops on the right, woods, olive trees...
The garden is gorgious.
We just fell in love

What makes this property unique

The beautiful terrasse offers a gorgeous view for breakfast... if you wake up early enough.
If the sun is already too high, the shaded patio will delight you. Perfect for lunch.

Either veranda is ideal for a cup of tea.

Beer by the pool is alright too, although you might prefer "rosé"?
