This beautiful Maison de Maitre, built in 1820, is located on the edge of the charming medieval village of Mielan, close to Marciac (host to the annual international jazz festival) and Mirande. The house has stone walls, beamed ceilings and many original features. It is in a fabulous setting with a lovely lush garden, private wood, large pool and south facing terrace. You can see the snow capped Pyrenees from the first floor. The house faces south and west and is flooded with sunlight through its many large windows, making the rooms feel bright and airy.
Inside there are 3 floors totalling approx. 500sqm. On the ground floor, there is a double bedroom with ensuite shower room, perfect for guests who have difficulty using the stairs. In addition, there is the large open plan kitchen/dining room with sitting area and wood burning stove and with direct access on to the garden. Behind the kitchen there is a family bathroom and utility room with 2 washing machines. Finally on this floor there is the first of 2 lounge rooms.
On the first floor there are 3 double bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, and the second lounge. The fifth bedroom with ensuite is located on the second floor.
All bedrooms have double or kingsize beds and are large enough to accommodate a travel cot. One of the bedrooms on the first floor has an additional single bed in the room, the attic room has 2 additional single beds.
