Farmhouse Cottage - perfect for couples exploring the Island

The cottage has a bedroom that opens out onto a private garden with patio to enjoy the evening sun. There is a large bathroom with bath and walk in shower. The sitting room is made wonderfully cosy with a wood burning stove. We can provide a fold out bed for this property so it can sleep up to 3. This property has no kitchen or dining facilities. Our onsite restaurant is open everyday for breakfast 9am - 11am and lunch 12-3pm. Our local pub is 2 minutes drive away and other dining options within 10 minutes.

March break at Farmhouse Cottage
We really enjoyed our time in Farmhouse Cottage. Although it was cold outside we were able to get the cottage cosy by putting the log burner on. It was exceptionally quiet too and perfect for a relaxing break for the two of us.

Cosy cottage for a Winter break
We stayed in Farmhouse Cottage for four nights at the end of January. Our ferry crossing was cancelled due to bad weather but fortunately Melanie at The Garlic Farm rearranged everything for us within minutes. The cottage was cosy and warm with central heating and a log burner and the large bed was comfortable. A fridge, kettle and cups were provided but we were glad to have taken some plates and cutlery and a tea towel would have been useful. The excellent Garlic Farm restaurant and shop were literally only a minute’s walk away and we enjoyed our morning walks around the farm and further afield on the lovely IoW. We are looking forward to our next stay.

At last minute short break booking, lovely location, very cosy and comfortable, would recommend if you are a couple staying there with family members who are staying in one if the other properties on site where you can join them for breakfast

Farmhouse Cottage
Enjoyed our stay in the Cottage very comfortable could not fault in any way, stay made even more enjoyable by the good weather,would come back again. Only downside poor quality breakfast served in the restaurant, so had to breakfast elsewhere.

A wonderful stay
We had a lovely long weekend staying at Farmhouse Cottage. Our daughter and family were staying in one of the yurts for the week, and it was a great way to get together. The cottage was clean, very pretty and spacious, and the location perfect. Communications were very good before and during our stay. If I could make one suggestion it would be to provide at least a couple of side plates/knives, or suggest people bring these. We knew there would only be a fridge and no kitchen, but we did keep a few bits to eat in the fridge as snacks, and had to borrow crockery from my daughter's yurt. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Absolutely delightful!
Honestly we had the very best time staying at the Garlic farm. The owners were friendly, the cottage was cute. There were peacocks, red squirrels and rabbits around, and the restaurant, cafe and shop are all awesome! The food is amazing!!! One of the best UK restaurants we’ve been to in a long time. I can’t recommend this place enough and can’t wait to go back.

Bolted on an extra couple of nights after being on the island for business. A lovely place to relax and with the restaurant and farm shop within yards it was a wonderful experience overall. Can’t wait to go back!

Idyllic farm stay
Perfect spot to stop near the middle of the Island, Jenny, Colin and Mel are so friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The accommodation was spotless, quiet and comfy, the restaurant is always one of the best places to eat on the Island and the location is both utterly idyllic and perfect for day trips out. Where else do you get woken up in the morning by a peacock?

Lovely stay at Farmhouse Cottage
The cottage was absolutely lovely. Perfect for our short stay. It was clean and comfortable with some lovely little touches and the information pack on the local area was excellent. Communication with the host was very good and they couldn’t have been more helpful. Would highly recommend staying at the beautiful Garlic Farm. You MUST eat in the restaurant too, the food is exceptional.

Time to relax
It was good to be back in the cottage again, able to take advantage (by special agreement) of the facilities of the kitchen, and enjoy the comfort of such a lovely place. The paintwork needs touching up a little.

A great place for a short break
Everything great. The Cottage was lovely and homily, The addition of a (small) microwave would have made the score a full 5. Peacocks and red squirrel sightings helped to make the location excellent. Everyone at the Farm were hospitable and helpful with interesting titbits about the area. The next door Restaurant and Shop were a very useful addition. Food was really good and we would highly recommended visiting the Farm just for that reason!

Love the garlic farm
Love the garlic farm good value for money and having such a great restaurant on site you don’t have to walk far for a good breakfast and a great lunch The room is always clean and even though it doesn’t have a kitchen there is tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge When we come over to the island we will alway stay at the garlic farm Steve young Guildford

Farmhouse Cottage in October
We arrived in lovely weather and found the cottage was very attractive. Inside the king size bed had lovely fresh white bed linen and the view of the garden with red squirrels, birds and a peacock was a joy. The lounge has a two seater sofa and a chair, both good size and comfortable a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities on the window ledge. We wanted to try the seafood platter from Captain Stan’s in Bembridge during our stay but there were no plates or cutlery, we mentioned this at breakfast the next morning in the restaurant and by the time we returned from breakfast to the cottage two plates and cutlery had been brought over for us, excellent response and very much appreciated. We had the opportunity to speak with the lady gardener who was lovely and she told us the rose in the garden of the cottage was called The Lady of Shallot, a beautiful rose and we will look into getting one upon our return. Overall our stay was excellent we enjoyed the Island and all the local people were very pleasant and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time, life changing lasagne at the Bonchurch Inn was a delight we were lucky they had a cancellation as we hadn’t booked. We hope to return soon and try some more of the recommendations in the Garlic Farm welcome pack. Thank you to all.

Lovely weekend visit

Just what we needed
I recently hired the Garlic Farm accommodation for my 40th birthday celebration. The Accommodation team were brilliant at helping us put on an amazing event and catering to our guest’s individual needs. Friends and family members having been raving about the experience in the weeks afterwards. The site is stunning, there are plenty of activities for children and adults and the accommodation is very well maintained. The communal yurt proved to be a real hub of fun and activity throughout our weekend. We will not hesitate to book again.

Farmhouse Cottage is a spacious annex of the main farmhouse. It has a large bedroom, bathroom and cosy sitting room with log burning stove. However. there are no kitchen facilities so guests can either dine in the restaurant which is open for breakfast and lunch everyday or make use of one of the local pubs or restaurants nearby.

What makes this property unique

The Garlic Farm is a very unigue and beautiful place to visit and to use as a base for exploring the Island. We have great walks right from the doorstep and the private garden to the rear which often affords sightings of red squirrels and various other wildlife.
