Our 3 double bedroomed, 3 bathroomed bungalow is ready for you and your loved ones (2 and 4 legged) to enjoy. This wonderful seaside property is the perfect base for a relaxing holiday in this most sought after location. The luxurious yet practical interior is thoughtfully equipped with everything you will need for a fantastic home from home experience. From the snug with it's L shaped sofa and 50''smart tv, to the vaulted kitchen/dining room leading to the sitting room with it's bi-fold doors accessing the sunken garden, everything is here for your family to enjoy a wonderful holiday.
The gated driveway can accommodate 3 cars if required, all off road and secure.The gardens are accessed from the gravelled parking area as well as the bi fold doors in the lounge. They lead to a sunken south facing terrace area with water feature and fire pit, BBQ and plenty of comfy seating on the 'L' shaped sofa for those al fresco evenings in the sun. There is a large outdoor dining table easily seating 6 and plenty of space for all the goodies you have to eat.
Back inside, the large bright hallway has double doors which conceal the washer and dryer as well as the boiler and fuse board.
The snug is also located off the hallway. This cosy room has a large 'L' shaped sofa where you can relax and read a book or make use of the 50''smart TV and Playstation if that is your thing.
Back into the main house and the large open plan kitchen has everything you'll need for a real home from home holiday. The vaulted ceiling with 2 velux windows gives a real feeling of light and space. Built in appliances including a large fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave, an induction hob and wine cooler for (those holiday essentials.)
The dining table is also in this area and there are more than enough plates and glasses so you don't need to waste time washing up between meals. The room then opens into the lounge with 2 large sofas giving plenty of comfy seating for 6. The 50'' smart TV is there for catching up on your favourite telly as well as films. The bi fold doors leading to the garden are also in this area.
The inner hallway leads to 2 bedrooms and the main bathroom. Bedroom 3 is a double with built in dressing area and wardrobe with plenty of storage for your belongings. It also has french doors to the rear courtyard with seating if you want to have your own space.
Bedroom 2 is a twin with en-suite with large shower and built in sink and wc unit as well as a demister mirror. Built in dressing table and storage for your clothes. Again doors lead to the rear garden.
The main bathroom has a bath and separate double shower cubicle as well as a large sink and demister mirror and a wc of course.
The master bedroom leads from the main living area and has a king size pocket sprung bed. Doors to the rear garden and a separate dressing room containing a dressing table and hanging space for your clothes lead off the main room. An en-suite shower room completes this relaxed retreat.

Please note in addition to 6 guests we can accommodate an infant in a travel cot (we have a high chair too if required.)


As we are so close to the beach we have an outdoor shower for your convenience to wash away the sand from those surf boards and you!!
It's heated too so no nasty shocks.

We have tried to think of everything we would want on holiday. We
also have other letting property and a bed and breakfast just over the road from the property so we are close by if you need anything.

We had a wonderful stay at Porth Kober. The bungalow is beautifully presented, spacious and has everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We especially liked the location as it is very short walk to Carbis Bay train station and the beach. We really appreciated the welcome pack and the very good communication from the host from point of booking and throughout our stay. We would thoroughly recommend this property and look forward to returning.

Fantastic house in great location
Probably one of the nicest places we've stayed in, 5 star accommodation, very close to the station and beach. Richard was very helpful, even bringing in our Tesco delivery which was earlier than expected! Lovely Spanish restaurant close by. Our teens enjoyed it too.

We stayed for a week in Porth Kober with our 2 westies. The property was immaculate, equipped with everything you need & more. Really quiet & relaxing, but perfectly located for the bustle of St Ives & surrounding areas. Outside was secure for the dogs & clean. We will definitely be returning soon.

A great week with another couple. House was extremely clean with modern and comfortable furnishing's, tv’s, etc. Outside space, limited but good and sheltered from winds and a good sun trap. Steep hill to walk up from the beech but worth it. Our dog loved it. Good position 5mins in the car to St.ives or Hayle.

Stunning holiday home
The description and photos undersell Porthole Kober, it is absolutely lovely. All fixtures and fittings are good quality, the layout and interior furnishings are excellent and everything has been thoughtfully designed to make your stay comfortable. It’s perfect for outside living with a BBQ, fire pit, plenty of seating and even a shower to clean off sand after a day on the gorgeous Carbis Bay beach.

This property ticked all our boxes. Only one criticism and that was the double bedroom, rather on the small side for 2 adults. Our 2 grandchildren (1 boy, 1 girl) needed the twin room which was perfect for them. My husband and I had ample room with an en suite and dressing area. The property is very well placed for the beach, rail station and excellent dining out. We would highly recommend a visit here.

Beautiful bungalow Carbis Bay
This was a fantastic property, meeting the needs of 3 generations on a weeks get away. Perfect set out of bungalow, family in one end grandparents at other. Great having a snug for grandparents to escape and watch tv in peace. Great communication with owner, no issues throughout our stay. Would recommend this bungalow and owner. Is only 10mins walk down to beach but is a good 20+ minutes walk back up due to the very steep hill. This is the only down side to Carbis Bay. We had a great holiday.

Well appointed property with very useful exterior warm shower which would benefit from removal of the gravel along the back pathway. Otherwise the property was very suitable for three generations of guests all of whom had a active weeks stay. Manager kept us fully informed via text messages. "Minutes from the beach" is a little misleading unless taking the car. (Watch out for the £20/day parking). The walk back is demanding due to steep hill.

Brilliant stay at Porth Kober
Perfect bungalow for our 2 week family summer holiday. Well stocked with everything you will need...dishwasher, bbq, high chair, travel cot etc. great open plan layout for socialising. The property is well located, a short walk (steep hill!) to the beach at Carbis Bay. St Ives is easily accessible either via a 30 min walk along the south west path or quick train journey. Scones and clotted cream in the fridge on arrival was a nice touch. Out host Richard was friendly and responsive. Highly recommended!

We had just returned from a lovely week staying at this property The house is situated close (5min walk) to the railway station which we used almost daily to get to and from st ives The house was exactly as described and the owners had left some lovely additional extras such as Cornish cream tea and wine! They were also on hand to greet us on arrival and answered any queries we had throughout our stay Highly recommend this property and we would definitely stay again

This house was a perfect setting for a perfect holiday in Carbis Bay. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Perfect location, moments away from the best beach. Just park up forget your car and walk to the station for the most scenic train ride into Saint Ives. Local amenities where brilliant great chip shop A good stocked local store plus a supermarket. This is the house I would highly recommend for any family looking to get away. Thank you for allowing us to stay

I'm Richard....50 something living in Carbis Bay with my wife Joanne.
We have the guest house...Lamorna Lodge, opposite this property...so on hand to sort any queries you may have. We clean and maintain the property so it is to the highest standards...we have had holiday accommodation for 15 years so we do know a thing or two.Originally from Sheffield we love living by the sea and meeting new people. We also love holidays....and know how hard they are to save for...so they need to be the best!
We look forward to meting you.

Why they chose this property

We purchased the property in late 2017 in a somewhat 'dated'state.
We spent the next 18 months and quite a lot of money changing the property in to somewhere we would want to spend our holidays.....the result is a property that is all new....only the outer walls and 2 internal walls remain of the original house. Everything from walls to teaspoons is brand new. The open plan living areas, snug and the 3 bedrooms which all have their own bathrooms (2 en-suite) not to mention the spacious garden all add up to a modern, family friendly holiday home from home.

What makes this property unique

Plenty of free, off road, parking.
3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms....no one queue's here for the bathroom!
Outside shower for those sandy toes.
South facing sunken patio with firepit for those balmy evenings.
