Manuka Lodge Ventnor with fantastic views & great for families

Manuka Lodge is a double storey family home with fantastic bay views.

When you stay with us, it is not just accommodation you are getting. There is so much more. At the back door you have open parkland and easy access to a safe sandy beach. Sitting on the deck you have the best views of the bay, and you don't have to move. Serenity, tranquility and a calming back drop of amazing water views. Then as darkness arrives, you can see the stars in the night sky and the twinkling of lights across the water. There is always something to look at.

Manuka Lodge is surrounded by wildlife. You can see wallabies, echidnas, blue tongue lizards, birdlife and the occasional koala and wombat.

And the accommodation that comes with all this,,,

Upstairs there are three double bedrooms. An open plan living area featuring a dining area, sitting area and modern kitchen with breakfast bar and plenty of food preparation area.

An elevated sun room leading out to a split level expansive deck with magnificent views of the bay.

The deck has several aspects for flexible entertaining, a gas BBQ and an outdoor setting complete the facilities.

Downstairs there are a further two bedrooms with three single beds in each.

There is a second modern bathroom and toilet, a laundry with washing machine and a large rumpus room with TV and fridge to give you greater flexibility.

An undercover deck area exists with sea views for those quieter moments away from the heat of the day or others in your group.

Optional extras include supply of linen.

Location

Located in Ventnor the property boasts a high vantage point with a northerly aspect and has a fantastic view over Westernport.

A safe sandy beach is only metres away out the back door.

Between the house and the beach there is an expansive common area suitable for family games.

10 mins drive to vibrant Cowes with its restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and everything you would expect in a bustling town.

Very impressed

We stayed here for 5 days. It was amazing. Beautiful place Excellent view and very big. 2min walk to the beach. We saw many wallabies and rabbits. This place is very clean. The kitchen is fully equipped. This is a wonderful home that we will go back to. The hosts are excellent. Highly recommend Manuka Lodge.

Everything you want for a family getaway

Spacious home with great heating for the winter break. Views to love and a beach at the doorstep. Lovely quiet area for a family group.

Great Ocean views

Manuka Lodge in person is even better than the photos! The views of the ocean are incredible and it only takes a few minutes walk from the back gate to get down to the beach. The backyard is fully enclosed but there are rabbits nearby so I wouldn't trust your pooch to not jump over the low lying fence. Penguin Parade is less than a 10 minute drive down the road, and getting into Cowes for restaurants is only about 10 minutes. We would gladly come back to stay again.

The perfect place to stay for a family group

We had 5 nights at Manuka Lodge over Easter with all of our family. The house was spotless and the grandchildren had a great time in their own rooms downstairs with a separate sitting room with a TV and soccer table. We adults enjoyed the views and outdoor deck upstairs and we were blessed with great weather. We virtually had the whole beach to ourselves which was a short walk out the back gate. The backyard was nice and secure for the children to play outdoors. We visited the Antarctic Centre, the Penguin Parade, the Koala Sanctuary and Churchill Island with a 4 Park Pass for $41 per adult (RACV) and when you add the free attractions like the Nobbies Boardwalk, the Forest Caves Walk and Pyramid Rock, we had days filled with entertainment for very little cost. Thank you William and Helen for sharing your home with us and giving us some wonderful memories shared with our children and grandchildren. We highly recommend this property.

Amazing views and location !

House views are amazing !! Breathtaking! You see the sunrise and sun set . We all absolutely enjoyed our stay . Kitchen fully equipped , house has everything you need. Kids and teens loved all hanging out down stairs . Rooms were warm with heaters . All kids didn’t even want to leave ! Us adults enjoyed the fire place and views So much we all just stayed in and cooked every night. We all enjoyed daily walks down to the beach which views and walk was amazingly great 👍 dogs loved every minute. Backyard is fully fenced so our fur family enjoyed running around . We all will be back again as we all loved the house which have to say had a warm and inviting vibe . We all gave the house 5 stars out of 5 :) Thank you Bill and Helen You have created a beautiful home for everyone to enjoy 😊

Great time away

Perfect property for 3 families, 6 adults & 6 kids. Kids loved to hang out downstairs. Lots of spots to sit and see the fantastic water views with beach walks at your back door. Our dog loved chasing the waves when she wasn’t in the fenced yard. Fireplace kept us toasty warm at night. Good communication with owners. Quiet area of Phillip Island. Would love to visit again. Quiet getaway.

A beautiful located holiday house. However, it could be even better with a new coat of paint and possibly some new furniture. The house was fantastic otherwise and the experience living there was magnificent.

Wonderful weekend

Excellent property within moments of the sand and sea . Quiet location , everything for a family or friends group . Perfect blend of retro island beach house with all the amenities you need. We are planning to be back very soon. This is genuine R and R with views of a beautiful region of Victoria . Pop a bottle of bubbles and spread out the nibbles before your BBQ and the working world vanishes.

Wonderful property

Very comfortable with everything you could need.

Lots of space for group of friends or a few families. We had 6 ladies enjoy the house for a weekend. Enjoyed windy beach walks and many nature experiences. We would have appreciated some more (dry) kindling for the heater, bought some more wood for the second night. Warm and cosy bedrooms and comfy beds. Kitchen very well supplied.

A wonderful weekend away

Our family of 6 adults and 4 young children have just had a wonderful relaxed weeekend at Manuka Lodge. The house is so well equipped with absolutely everything we needed and more. The weather, being winter was not kind, however, having a roaring wood fire heater and great views we were able to thoroughly enjoy the ambience of Ventnor beach from our cosy house. Thank you so much to Bill and Helen for great communication and preparing everything so well for us. We would love to return.

Wonderful setting

This was the most gorgeous setting and the view/access to the beach was amazing and perfect for our two families of 5. The accommodation worked brilliantly as well and was very well equipped and clean. Our only request would be for a dishwasher and wifi but otherwise we had no complaints.

Love this Place!

Great place to relax

Took six overseas tourists to Manuka Lodge and they were amazed at the size of the house and wonderful views. The home was spotlessly clean and very, very comfortable. Excellent location midway between Cowes township and the Penguin Parade. No detracting features- very quiet spot. Would heartily recommend staying there. Hope to go again in the future.

Great facilities for a group!

If you are looking for a really clean and tidy house with great access to the beach and in a really quiet area - don't hesitate to book this place, you won't be disappointed. The configuration of the bedrooms makes it easy to suit just about any mix of people. The ambience of the "viewing deck" at night is spectacular, whether it's the "interior" or the "exterior" deck (you will comprehend the deck arrangement when you get there - it's good!). We stayed with a group of gents for the World Superbikes weekend and thoroughly appreciated this well set up house. Thanks Bill!

Great place

We had a great time at manuka Lodge. To be honest the photos on the website don't do it justice. It was perfect for a beach holiday - not too posh so we weren't worrying about what our kids were up to every second of the day but it had everything you could want and more. Bill the owner was more than helpful and couldnt do enough to help us. I would recommend this house to anyone who wants a chilled out beech holiday where you can just relax and chill out.
