hello please note: we supply linen to the king bed and towels washed on hot cycle. we do not supply for other beds. please bring towels and sheets only for other beds..all else there! My Wonderful beach house I built with new and recycled timbers located in the bush on an estuary with own path to the beach- either walk through beautiful rainforest and over estuary bridge to the beach or drive to the town beaches in 8 minutes. Timber ceilings and floors, great big cover verandah to watch birds and wildlife under 1x8 metre lounge room with plenty of lounges, a huge lopi wood fire, a large dining table, tv and dvd, stereo, and a desk for computers, etc. with a monitor to plug your notebook into. Private, peaceful and very spacious this house has plenty of regulars staying so we are confident you will enjoy it too.

Very Spacious 1,Well equipped new kitchen with dishwasher and gas stove, electric oven, and appliances such as juicer, rice maker, slow cooker, etc.
3 bedrooms: main bedroom is 8.5x4 metres with a king bed and separate lounge area with second TV and DVD. Second has s queen bed and third has two singles. maximum 5 adults- or 6 people if kids are included. 2 bathrooms one with large bath tub and separate toilet-second has shower with toilet. Separate laundry with washer and dryer,
Verandah is 25 Metres long with lounge areas, a dining table, a table for breakfast by the main room and a reclining couch. Weber bbq,
linen is included on the king bed for couple, extra $25 for second couple but encourage you to bring your own if possible.

The front and back of the house is cleared 30 metres around the house. There is a 6x6 metre carport for cars. You can walk to the beach right from the path starting at the house- or walk thru the woods.
this is is a quiet sanctuary for people who want a quiet restul holiday. its not for noise or parties of any type..more for meditation!
This part of North Coast is full of great things to see and do- several surfing spots to walk and drive to, 3 ks drive to the town and 1 hour walk south along 4 beaches to nambucca jetty from the house. Other attractions include Bellingen and the Promised Land, 1/2 hour, Dorrigo National Rainforest, 50min and tons more. I guarantee you will feel like a different person after a holiday here.

Great getaway location

My partner and I stayed for a week as a getaway for my birthday, I loved the serenity of the place, great bird watching and a short walk via the bush to the beach, it was perfect.

Coastal Christmas

We had a lovely stay at this property over Christmas. The location was absolutely perfect for us. We really enjoyed the house as it was full of art and interesting pieces. We had everything we needed and more. Loved the peace and tranquillity. The deck was huge and fantastic to relax and listen to the waves. We saw kingfishers and tiny superb fairy wrens in the garden. We’d definitely love to stay again.

Peaceful nature retreat

One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. It was perfect for us - quiet, very spacious with lots of different areas for spending time together and time apart. An added bonus - all on one level, so perfect for our senior mums who we were treating to a holiday after over 50 years of friendship. Wonderfully creative decor and lots of ocean art. Absolutely everything you need there, and high quality kitchen tools. A very special place.

Very relaxing

The house was just as I expected from the photos & description - great for us & the dogs even thou there is no yard fencing. It was raining most of the time so the leeches were around but the balcony was the perfect place to read a book or just looking at the trees & enjoying the weather without getting wet.

Great Home for a Family Holiday

We had a relaxing week staying at Sanctuary Bush. This eclectic, artsy house perfectly accommodates a large family and pets. The rooms are a good size with plenty of beds to choose from. The large surround deck is great to relax, eat and bbq on. The kitchen has everything you need if cooking in. It's only a 5 minute walk along a bush track (rear of the house heading left) to the beach which was fantastic to take our dog to everyday. Aeroguard is a must though. The location to other beaches and Nambucca River is brilliant!

great location

the house is in a lovely location backing on to bushland. all you hear is the sound of waves breaking on the shore as the house is close to the beach. The track to the beach could have been abit better to walk through though. It had a spa bath but unfortunately the spa didn't work. overall a nice place to stay to unwind and feel that you have had a holiday. thanks

Quiet location. Huge home

Unfortunately the recent heavy rains appeared, so we only got 1.5 days of fine weather. Left early to avoid the floods. Huge home, plenty of space and there's everything here you'd ever need! Longer walk to the beach than I thought and might be a bit tricky for littluns through the windy up and down hill bush trek before you get to the bridge you see in the photos. Dog friendly beach and you mostly have it to yourself. Unpatrolled though. Nambucca's about a 7 minute drive for all your shopping, etc.

We really loved this rustic house, very large with a beautiful balcony overlooking the bush. Everything you need to for a relaxing holiday. Walking distance to the beach but very quiet and secluded. Fantastic that it is pet friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

A spacious, quiet and relaxing comfortable house with character.

Tucked away in the beautiful Australian bush far from the hustle and bustle we fell asleep to the sounds of the surf in a very nice bed. A very pleasant and gentle nature walk along a track to the beach. Over the creek on timber foot bridge, a sandy path unfolding to the sound of squeaky white sand underfoot and a beautiful inviting beach. Many places to take a dip in the sea and spread a beach towel. Perfect for us - middle aged couple with a dog. Very rejuvenating while we also loved exploring the area and swimming and running on the beach. The house was wonderfully equipped with everything you’d need from cooking meals to relaxating on the comfortable lounges on a wide long timber deck and sleeping soundly at night. A unique holiday spot on the coast. Thank you Cheryl. From Genevieve, Andrew and Reggie (woof woof).

Great place to escape and unwind

We enjoyed a week at this house in October - a house with character. Clean, comfy and well suited to our family of four - with room for more if needed. Great outlook from the huge back veranda that runs the length of the house and overlooks the beautiful bush, with the sound of the ocean from beyond. My daughter loved the visit from a friendly Kookaburra. Big dining table and lots of lounges made it easy to find a spot to sit, relax and enjoy the company and surrounds. Good nearby walks, and only a short drive into town. While the closest beach is great for walks - not ideal for swimming (although kite surfers seem to love it, and there is also the creek nearby). But we found lovely Shelley Beach only 5 minutes drive away in Nambucca.Heads which was sheltered, good for a swim, and not crowded (although we were there outside of school holidays, so it might be a different story in peak times). An easy 30 minute drive up the highway to Coffs Harbour for those wanting a bit more action (but we were happy staying in a quieter place like this). If we ever find ourselves back in the area, would look to rent this house again.

Serene, relaxing home.

we stayed for 3 nights and wished it had been longer. It's one of those good old "beach houses" with everything you could want. we didn't have kids but if you are a big family this is an ideal "roaming" home. beautiful, comfy, furniture and large country kitchen. hole house very comfy with a great, extra large veranda and entertainment area. if we get chance to return, won't hesitate and Cheryl is an obliging hostess.

Spent two relaxing weeks at the Sanctuary in Jan 2012, and found it very appropriately named. Eclectic design makes this a very comfortable and homelike place, with a real personal touch. Well appointed kitchen (great coffee grinder!) with everything you need to cook up a storm. Fabulous verandah, with stacks of space to spread out. The garden is good for cricket and running around, and even if it's raining the house is lovely to relax in. Totally private. We walked to both Main Beach, Nambucca and Valla Beach several times. Highly recommended.

I was in my Utopia! So peaceful that I thought I had lost my hearing when I woke up on my first morning! I adored the house - THE VERANDAH! I lived on it! Did my jigsaws on the outside table. Fab kitchen and vegetarian cookbook! Everything was so comfortable and relaxed. The only thing I can fault is that it needs brighter lightglobes in the kitchen and bathrooms. It was as if I had found my home....
