Home on the Range ~ An escape to wildlife in Aggieland!

Watch the buffalo roam right outside your front door at this 1 bedroom cabin located on the Lucky B Bison ranch!

HOME ON THE RANGE

Home on the Range, where the Buffalo roam… And I do mean literally roam! Located on the Lucky B Bison Ranch, this cabin takes you back to the days when buffalo roamed freely - of course, now there’s some fencing for safety. Home on the Range is a beautiful one-bedroom fully furnished log cabin that sleeps, 2-4 people. It’s rustic, but you won’t need buffalo chips for fire here. Equipped with all the modern essentials, you can turn your fireplace on with the flip of a switch, watch the game from the comforts of an air-conditioned living room, and sleep comfortably on the queen-sized bed.

You can look out over the prairie and the pond to watch the bison and horses from the front porch as you sip your morning coffee or grill out in the evenings. You may even see the bison within viewing distance! Want to try some bison meat? You can get it from the Lucky B Bison Ranch. There are so many picture-perfect moments you may need a selfie stick to make sure you can capture all the action!

Want to have friends over? No problem! There is plenty of parking. Want to schedule activities like hayrides, chuck wagon dinners, use of the pavilion, and more? Simply contact the Lucky B Bison Ranch for prices & pavilion rentals!

Situated only one mile from Lake Bryan, it is the perfect place to stay for frequent lake goers. Lake Bryan offers boating, fishing, bike trails, and much more! There is plenty of room to park your boat and jet skis at Home on the Range. Additionally, Cadillac Ranch Bar & Grill is a great restaurant with amazing sunsets- if you want to go for the evening, it’s just a short drive from the ranch! Staying for an Aggie event on campus? No worries! Campus sits a mere 20 minutes away from the Ranch, with a beautiful scenic drive in between.

Come on out to the Range and get a taste of days gone by. Relax and enjoy the scenery in comfort and style!

PS: Sometimes there are events at the pavilion that take place when the cabin is rented, we just want to make you buckaroos aware of company visiting the ranch from time to time.

The property may have one or more actively recording cameras overlooking the entrance, driveway, and backyard areas which record audio and video. All devices are on the exterior of the property.

P.S. Sometimes there are events at the pavilion that take place when the cabin is rented, we just want to make you buckaroos aware of company visiting the ranch from time to time.

A team member is on call 24 hours a day to assist you with any questions or concerns.

Very restful!
Just wanted a place to hang out and boy did this place accomplish! Beverly and Donnis met us to go over the intricacies of ranch live/security (or rules). Set a great tone. Had the windows open one night and heard all the birds and outdoors life. Reminded me of the family get- to-gathers of my youth. Nice touches like water, ice, coffee, blankets, pillows, but most of all "quiet". Not sure what it would be like if there was an event going on at the pavilion, but knowing myself, I would have loved being a part of any gathering. Not often you are able to be on a working ranch, and even better when you get to see Bisons.

Loved our home on the range!
If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, enjoy beautiful scenery in a relaxed setting, and learn everything you need to know about American Bison, then you have to check out the Lucky B Bison Ranch. Owners Beverly and Donnis are wonderful hosts and couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. The cabin is comfortable and has everything you need, and the porch is perfect for drinking your morning coffee and enjoying amazing sunsets. We loved getting to meet our neighbors - Cowboy (cat), Lucky Cowgirl (dog), Miss Reaganne (pet bison) and horses Peppy, Sassy, Mariposa, and DiDi. The bison herd was magnificent and we really appreciated Beverly taking us on a mule tour of the property. We can’t say enough good things about our visit and have been sharing this unique experience with family and friends. We hope to make a return trip - it’s so worth it! Sabrina and Bill Sumner

Peace and Quiet
We were greeted by one of the owners with a few key instructions. Given a tour and left to enjoy the peaceful sunset on the first day. On the second day we wandered to a local fair/festival recommended by them. Had a great time and made our way back. We were greeted and offered some education on the herd and the history of the property. It is a beautiful place and to be able to see it from this aspect was most rewarding. It was what the doctor ordered. Periodically throughout the days the owners would stop by for chores and to visit, which gave you a comfort. They were great host and had an attention to the small details, which my girls loved. There are a few pets and livestock that we shared the property with. “Regan” was the “pet” bison, a barn cat “Cowboy”, “Lucky Cow Girl” and a few horses. The sunrises and sunsets were amazing. Even the middle of the day sitting back enjoying the breeze while in a rocking chair on the porch could spoil you. I recommend this place to anyone that would like the chance to “Step Back and Smell” the roses. Most of us are wrapped up in our daily lives and forget to to do that occasionally. This is your chance.

Just what the doctor ordered
My wife and I had a extremely pleasant stay in this beautiful little piece of paradise. It’s a very well thought out and a tastefully designed cabin. It has everything we could need plus more not to mention the perfect place to have a morning cup of coffee out on the porch. The property owners are such kind folks and we truly were pleased to have met them. We look forward to coming back! This place is one for the memories.

Lil Piece of Paradise
I’m split right down the middle on giving a review. It’s the kind of place you want to tell everyone about and the kind of place you want to keep to yourself so no one else finds out about it. I can’t say enough great things about the managers. Real fine down-to-earth folks. They were perfect hosts. The ranch is a little piece of paradise. My daughter is still reciting the names of the animals she met. This place will be extra special for any bison or Charles Goodnight enthusiasts. We have zero negative comments. We will definitely put this on our short list of go-to places for R&R. Many thanks to Mr Donnis and Ms Beverly.

Home, home on the range ...
This unique property was literally "home on the range" for over a month as we transitioned to our new home and state. The owners could not have been more gracious, attentive, and accommodating, and we thoroughly enjoyed the peace and serenity found in this unique setting--a 300 acre working bison ranch.

Great cabin and wonderful owners! Simply awesome!
I had the privilege of staying here for a while and being able to get to know the owners and area. It's a beautiful property and the owner's are the nicest, most down to earth people you'll ever meet. The bison are amazing too along with the dogs, cat, horses, etc....a true ranch experience. I wouldn't trade my stay here for anything. Beautiful cabin, sunsets, and owners. What more could you ask for? I plan on coming back as often as possible!

Wonderful and Peaceful Retreat
We stayed at the Home on the Range rental during a Texas A&M game day weekend. We were so pleased with the experience, so much better than a noisy hotel. The house is just what you would need for a getaway - clean, quaint, quiet - and an added bonus, there are buffalo in your front yard! Spending time on the front porch watching these magnificent animals is beyond words. Upon our arrival, Jimmy gave us the lay of the land and was extremely friendly and courteous, making us feel right at home. Cowboy, the cat, met us every morning on the porch, waiting for a scratch. It is close enough to get to town quickly but far enough to feel like you are world's away. We would highly recommend this home for your vacation.
