Perfect location
We had a fabulous family holiday here. The house was very clean and tidy. We walked everywhere as the house was close to the Main Street and eating options. It was perfect for beach access too. Such a quiet and relax location with beach views from the balcony. Looking forward to coming back to this place.

Loved the Beachcomber!
Loved the house and the location, better views than in the photos and a great undercover balcony. Beds made for us, gorgeous linen and king sized towels, a real hotel feel. The owners were so easy to deal with and could be contacted if we had a question, so nice not to get a voicemail. Good selection of videos and books for a quiet night in. Will recommend this home to our friends, very clean and well maintained.

Horseshoe Bay location a highlight, loved the views!
Beachcomber has such a nice view from the under cover deck. Much better views than in the pictures. Owners very helpful and had provided everything we needed for a few days away even down to dishwasher tablets for the Miele dishwasher. Convenient location, didn't need our car, just walked everywhere for meals out. Cleanest holiday place we have ever stayed it. Comfy good quality beds and starched bed linen. Will definitely recommend it to family and friends and will come again.

Wonderful location, comfortable home
Beachcomber is in a great location with views of Horseshoe Bay. This was very convenient for us and we could walk to everything we wanted to see in Port Elliot. The house is extremely clean and well maintained with all the basics supplied for a nice holiday. We would come back again.

Pleasant stay in a great location
The house was clean and communication was good with t he Managers/Owners. A few extra basics were required to be brought along by us that are usually included for the rental price (e.g. cleaning products, no tea or coffee facilities, and if required non-stick cookware). Usually these are included in a rental of this quality. We will be back for sure as the location is great and the house is clean on arrival.

Location, location! Spent as much time as possible in the balcony overlooking Horseshoe Bay.

A View to Remember
Lovely property that had everything you needed for a relaxing holiday. Our little dog was welcome so made it a very enjoyable break. The view from the top floor and balcony was lovely. Coffee on the balcony in the morning watching the sun come up then a few wines in the afternoon. All with a beautiful view of the ocean. The house had everything you needed for a long or short stay. Just across the road to walk on the beautiful Horseshoe Bay Beach. Everything you needed in walking distance. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Philip and Wendy

Just metres from Horseshoe Bay
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Beachcomber. It is only metres from Horseshoe Bay from the front door and has lovely views to the bay from the balcony. It is a pet friendly stay so we were able to take a dog with us and being so close to the beach it was ideal.

Met expectations - that was important. Cleanliness, functionality and, of course, the location. Highlights were the balcony view and going to sleep in crisp clean sheets listening to the waves on the beach. Good walking opportunities - beach and cliff walks. Local cafe(s) were good.

Ideal Beach Location
Beachcomber provided the ideal location for a beachside getaway for our family of 4 with access to the beach just over the road. All of Pt Elliot's amenities are within walking distance, plus easy access to the safe bike track. The accomodation is very clean and in excellent condition with up to date appliances. There is plenty of room with 2 large living spaces, 2 bathrooms and 3 generous size bedrooms plus a deck with views of the sea which we utilised morning and night. We experienced some hot weather at the time of our trip and the a/c in the main living room and ceiling fans in all the bedrooms were sufficient to keep us comfortable. Philip and Wendy are very professional hosts making themselves available if there any issues with the house. We will definitely return to Beachcomber and would recommend this property to friends and family.

Great place so relax and unwind!
The property was exactly as described, our main reason for picking Beachcomber was location. It is so close to Horseshoe Bay, a short walk to the amazing Pt Elliot Bakery and main street shopping precinct. The house was really well appointed, super clean and tidy and had everything we needed for the relaxing weekend away we had planned. Thank you Wendy and Philip!

A delightful stay...
A fantastic location, with delightful sea views from the balcony, which was perfectly shaded from lunch-time onwards (a relief during the hot summer afternoons). Very clean and user friendly. Great for our situation, with a mature-aged couple upstairs and my family fitting comfortably downstairs. It was really lovely having our own private space, which included two bedrooms (one with two single beds), our own lounge room and a large bathroom with a shower and bath. With us visiting the beach every day, the spacious downstairs laundry was a great bonus too. The large upstairs dining table was perfect when we came together for meals and the kitchen was a really good size, with all of the amenities you could possibly need, including plenty of cupboard space, a full-sized fridge, oven and microwave. Our only criticism was that the bbq was rusty on the hot plate. Rust is certainly expected beside the ocean but we just weren't inclined to cook on the affected cook-top, opting to cook on the indoor stove-top instead.

Long Weekend Holiday
My husband and I stayed for a long weekend at Beachcomber. From our first enquiry Wendy and Philip were most helpful. The property's presentation was first class. It was attractively furnished with a lovely balcony complete with barbecue. Even thought it was the beginning of winter we breakfasted on the balcony each day as it was sheltered from the weather. Our arrival and finding the keys was very smooth. All in all we would recommend this property to any prospective holiday makers. Thanks Wendy and Philip.

Beachcomber - a high quality holiday rental
Have just enjoyed a fantastic two nights at Beachcomber at Port Elliott due mainly to the very high standard of the holiday house, its location, cleanliness and the ocean views, which were much better that we expected. There was not anything that we wanted for in the house and we were impressed with the quality of the furniture and appliances etc. It was a pleasant surprise to find a lounge that was very comfortable; this is something we have found lacking in many other holiday rentals. The complimentary later checkout meant we did not have to rush the morning we left. Will definitely be going back to one of Wendy and Phil's holiday houses.

Holidaying at Beachcomber Highly Recommended
We frequently enjoy stays at Beachcomber and highly recommend booking holidays there with the friendly helpful owners . The location is ideally situated, directly above beautiful Horseshoe Bay. There is immediate access onto the beach and a variety of lovely walks to be enjoyed as well as numerous places for casual dining in close proximity. The apartment is spotless with all linen and essentials provided for a relaxing holiday. We particularly appreciate the company of our spaniel who is made welcome during Off Season holidays. I would highly recommend Beachcomber to one and all.

Well worth a visit.
We can't recommend this property highly enough. Great location, clean, very well appointed and the owners could not have been more helpful. There is everything you could need for a couple like us and would be perfect for a family. Virtually right on the beach and within walking distance of cafes and restaurants but there is a very well equipped kitchen if you need it. We have stayed there 3 times now and will definitely be back again!

Perfect in every way!
We have stayed in many of the luxurious holiday homes offered by Encounter Holiday Rentals over many years. We particularly lover staying in their properties as they are clean, well presented, well maintained and they are furnished with everything you need. We always feel very comfortable and at home and if the need arises Encounter Holiday Rentals are always at the other end of the phone. We do not stay anywhere else when we visit Port Elliott. Most of their properties are walking distance to the beautiful beach and the shops. We particularly like Port Elliott for the bike riding path that goes all the way from Victor Harbor to Goolwa and so accessible from their holiday houses. We recommend these places to all our friends, and the friends that do pop in for a visit or stay with us are absolutely amazed and the presentation and luxuriousness of the properties.
