Eurong Fraser Island - Fraser Eco Lodge

There is a minimum number night to book during school holidays. Check-in on Friday or Saturday. No Schoolies groups allowed at this property. Must have good reviews to rent this property.
The house is nestled in a bush setting 3 minutes walk to the beach. Large, open plan design on three levels, with double storied decks on three sides. Located in second valley at Eurong - away from all the noise and traffic that surrounds the main resort/shop/petrol station area.
A short walk or drive and you have access to all these facilities. Eurong even has a restaurant, bakery and take away shop.
The solar power supply is stored in a large bank of expensive batteries. This 240 volt source powers the lights, large fridge/freezer and washing machine. This is an eco friendly home, discover the real life - take a break from the constant demands from 24/7 technology!
Linen is not supplied so you MUST TAKE YOUR OWN SHEETS AND TOWELS.
Bath mat, tea towels. Pillows, quilts, cleaning and washing detergents all supplied.

- Additional visitors are not permitted without prior approval from the owner. Can be used by confirmed guests only. Must have good reviews.
- Please advise details about your group and the purpose of your trip. Booking may not be accepted if any of the above info is not provided.

If you can't manage without constant technology, microwaves, hairdryers etc then Fraser Island is probably not for you. For those who love new experiences, adventure, nature, appreciate the simple pleasures of life and are prepared to arrange their travels according to low tide- this is the perfect place and I'm sure you'll love the island.

Facilities
The house has a white kitchen with stainless steel bench tops. An island bench holds the large gas cooktop. A new wood fired pizza oven sits proudly in the backyard.
All cooking utensils, crockery etc are supplied. There is a large gas BBQ on the back deck. Please leave it clean. Please note, there is no microwave or oven as they pull too much power for the solar set up.

The house has a gas hot water system. The caretaker will have this switched on prior to your arrival.

The downstairs living area has two red leather lounges and a dining table that seats eight.

The top floor is a very large area with a high pitched timber ceiling, louvres and skylight provide abundant natural light and ventilation. This is the main bedroom. This area also has a toddlers bed and cot. YOU MUST TAKE YOUR OWN LINEN FOR BEDS ( and COT if required)

On the middle floor there is 2 private bedrooms with queen sized beds. The double bunks are in the living area on the second floor. Sliding glass doors open onto the covered decks at the front and rear of the house.
Telstra mobiles work at the house..

My house does not have television. It is PARTIALLY screened people prefer to have the house opened up to decks.

The bathroom and laundry are located on the ground floor. Outdoor shower for sandy bodies. Spare toilet on upstairs deck

Prices quoted do not include linen. You will need to bring sheets, pillow cases and towels. Bath mat and tea towels are provided.
All blankets, mattress protectors and pillows provided.
A key box is located outside the laundry door for security.

Holiday Area

Fraser island is a magnificent world heritage listed island with a million natural treasures! Enjoy the pristine inland lakes, rainforest walks, endless clean beaches, fresh water streams, coloured sand, shipwreck, whale watching and of course FISHING!

Relaxing getaway

The location at Eurong is good to access many of the islands highlights. The check in process was easy. Kitchen was well equipped. The house has 1 toilet and shower and an added outdoor shower with warm water. There was an additional outdoor toilet on the upstairs deck - which would need to be used for larger groups. The floors were a bit dusty when we arrived - we had to clean prior to use. Toilets, kitchen etc were clean. We didn’t use the pizza oven - but seemed like a nice outdoor space. It’s about a 5 mins walk to the beach. The property is solar powered, but has plenty of hot water - most likely gas.

Fantastic stay

Perfect house for Fraser Island. Had a great week staying at Eurong which was perfect in regards to visiting multiple places on the island. The housekeeper was very nice and a great bloke and the house owner was fantastic with organising our trip.

Unfortunately we didn't have the best experience, we choose to go in schoolies season, every night was horrible, the house beside us and behind us choose to party all night. Other than that the accommodation was good.

Great K-gari adventure

What a great holiday! The house was ideal for our holiday on K-gari. The location on the island is perfect for day trips and it is an easy stroll to the beach. We had two families and there was plenty of space inside and out. House was lovely and clean and beds comfortable. Firing up the pizza oven was great fun and all the instructions were provided. Jenny was very helpful and responded quickly to questions making it all very low stress! Thanks Jenny, we are already looking forward to our next visit!

Fantastic Holiday Home

We had a fantastic stay at Jenny's holiday house. The property is well equipped with everything you could need from kitchen utensils, basic food staples and bathroom and laundry supplies. It has an outdoor woodfire pizza oven and large BBQ. We really loved the open bifold doors at the front and back of the house on the lower level and the balcony's that surrounded both the bottom and middle levels. This property is clean and has such a nice beach holiday feel which allowed us to relax during our stay. Communication with Jenny was easy and response time very quick. The house is in a great location and close to shops, bakery, laundromat and centrally located close to popular attractions. We will definitely be back to stay again.

Fraser holiday

Excellent communication with owner prior to arrival with a flexible approach. Nice pizza oven and covered area to enjoy while doing pizzas Outdoor shower was great with much nicer pressure than the inside shower. Plenty sleeping space and useful having a outside toilet upstairs. Although floors are swept and there was no sand on the floors, the negative is the floors themselves are very dirty. To avoid having black feet, we had to wear shoes or thongs in the house at all times. Floor needs a wash, not just a sweep. Venue is to find. Great shopping and restaurants within walking distance

Great property for a getway

Cedar house was the perfect stay for 3 couples on a mini getaway to Fraser on a very rainy week. Jenny was very responsive and answered our questions very quickly. Her son, Derek met us there and showed us around the neighbourhood. He was very friendly and very helpful. The house itself was great and had everything we needed. There is only one toilet, but that's very common in houses of this age and coming from 4 nurses, we had no issues at all. The only thing I can think of for improvement would be maybe some newer brooms & mop to keep the floors clean but that's me being super picky! We made do with the cleaning equipment provided, so really not an issue at all. There was a 6 pack of beers left in the fridge (not sure if it was previous tenants or Jenny) which we appreciated on arrival, we kept the tradition going and left a 6 pack of beer for the next tenants on departure. I would definitely recommend Cedar House for your next trip to Fraser Island.

Rod Squad Fraser Island 2021 (6 adults, fishing, mainly)

We had enjoyed this property on previous occasions, and it was improved this time, especially popular was the pizza oven and rear entertaining area. Also the addition of a Smart TV which allowed us to watch the NRL G/Final via our phone - hurrah! A very comfortable and well-located house, much recommended.

Great home in a great location.

In one word great, from the continued up dates from Jenny on the property as well as a few helpful tips to the home it self. If you are a person with a young family then this is the place for you myself and my friends both have young kids and they loved the experience from a short walk to a beautiful beach to the excitement of staying in a three story home with plenty of board games to keep them busy. Highly recommend staying at this home.

Great getaway house!

We had a great time on the island, such a breezy house and the pizza oven in the yard was great to use! Luckily Derek was around to help with a small issue with the shower head. All in all the whole family was very happy and we would for sure stay there again!

This is definitely the best house in the street, great breezes, open plan, unusual design, amazing wood fired pizza oven in the backyard (wood provided). Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, plenty of board games, covered decks in case of rainy weather etc etc

Wood fired pizza oven with adjoining gazebo. Antique handcrafted wooden kayak suspended from ceiling on the middle floor. Character house, interesting design with huge open area living spaces. Surfboard outside shower. Second toilet on middle back deck!!
