I have stayed here twice already and wife and I both love it. Mary and Don are great hosts and keep the room wonderfully stocked. The huge bathroom is definitely a plus. Looking forward to many more stays!
Beautiful property. Hosts are good people, genuine and helpful. Amenities are from various periods, and thoughtfully curated - really made us feel at home. Enjoyed our morning stroll by the creek and through the garden.
This was an an extremely interesting and quirky B&B hosted, primarily, by Mary, a wonderful, thoughtful lady of Eastern European origins. I love her accent, her kindness, her desire to make my stay as pleasant as possible.
This B&B is unusual and quirky because Mary loves all kinds of art and displays numerous objects, prints, posters, antiques, etc. The accommodations are much like staying at a grandma's house combined with an antique shop. So if you like that you will love this, as I did. I felt loved.
Reminiscent Amélie Poulain of Montmartre's home; right down to the intriguing lamp on my nightstand
I googled the Happy Valley area from my home in Japan, looking for a place to stay while I purchase a Scout Olympic from the local camper store. Among all the hotels, motels and B&B's, Scott Creek Farm was THE PLACE that I was immediately attracted to. The beautiful posted photos on the website can't compare to my actually being there and experiencing it in person.
When we arrived late at night from Portland airport , Mary told us that she had had a very sudden & rare cancellation with a bigger two bedroom/kitchen/bath unit, which actually had enough beds for five people. She very generously offered to give us that unit for the same price as the one bed unit which I had reserved.
I took a 30 minute early morning walk thru the quiet forest, up and down Scott Creek, all the while marveling that I was actually in the middle of a town. My friend and his daughter roused themselves much later to be charmed by the same walk.
Inside and outside are full of out-of-the-ordinary things. More than anything, the decor of the place reminded me of the home of Amélie Poulain of Montmartre; right down to the intriguing lamp on my nightstand.
I keep thinking of reasons to stay overnight again in Happy Valley.
Enjoyed our stay, especially the nature trail and the collection of weird and unusual objects scattered about the property. The hosts were wonderful and supplied continental breakfast. The room was clean and the bedding comfortable. If you want a modern and sparse space, this is not the property for you. If you enjoy whimsy and kitsch you will be delighted. My only concern is that there was no way to lock the private entrance from either the outside or the inside. Attention to security would be helpful.
We truly enjoyed the private room with the deck that led to a beautiful garden and wooded forest area. Cute little trails with a small creek. Quaint and very relaxing!

Disturbing!
First of all, we would like to say that both Don and Mary were
welcoming and friendly hosts. Thus, the comments in this summary are in no way intended to personally criticize Don and Mary.
PROPERTY CONDITION: Run down, cluttered, and unsafe to
traverse --across uneven flagstone--slippery stairs and decks.
BEDROOM AND BATHROOM: Not as shown on website.
They were overly cluttered and too crowded to use comfortably.
HOUSE: There were NO cleared spaces on the Counters. Carpets and throw rugs caused tripping, and the cats had
clawed several 'to death'. There was so much junk everywhere.
It is clear that the Hosts are excessive Hoarders, which is their
right, but their property should NOT, in our opinion, be represented by VRBO. We did NOT stay the second night. It was too unsightly and too dangerous. Never again !!!!

Lovely location with great outdoors
This is a quiet and restful location on a very serene property. Facilities were fine and everything is provided. FYI the room we were in was separated from the host living space by a curtain only.
