Accommodation Details
Meme's offers three large bedrooms, one with a king bed, one with a queen bed and one with two single beds. Quality linen is provided for each bed, along with feather down quilts and lots of soft pillows. Each room has a built-in wardrobe, providing plenty of hanging space, along with draws and open shelving. The front bedroom features frosted glass sliding doors, which when open the full three metres provide stunning water views, in addition to the existing views from the large bedroom window, all which can be seen from the comfort of the bed. Perfect for honeymooners.
The indoor living area features ultra-modern yet comfortable furnishings with a large digital TV, DVD player, stereo and a selection of books and DVDs for your enjoyment. The spectacular water views, with dolphins playing, can be seen from the couch, providing a further source of entertainment all of its own.
There are also several outdoor living areas. There is a large private back deck, a grassed rear/side courtyard (with a outdoor gas BBQ), a large beachfront deck (partly shaded) that extends along the entire frontage of the house and a large beachfront grassed area from where you can step directly onto white sands of the beach. Deck chairs and additional outdoor furniture are provided so you can soak up the atmosphere, sit on the front deck and enjoy a drink, hearing the sound of the waves and feeling the ocean breeze.
The spacious kitchen is beautifully designed, with views from the cooking and washing up areas. The huge island bench provides an additional eating area to the separate dining space and the breakfast bar, facing the beachfront, allows morning coffee to be enjoyed while gazing directly out onto the beach. The kitchen is fully fitted out with quality appliances: a large fridge/freezer, gas cook top, electric stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, and with all the utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware provided, it is the perfect place to whip up a feast.
The main bathroom features a large corner spa (ideal for two!), spacious semi-framed shower, large vanity and mirror, toilet and bidet. Bath, hand and face towels are all provided. A second bathroom is found in the laundry area, which is complete with a shower, toilet, vanity, washing machine, clothes dryer, iron and ironing board. There is also a separate hot and cold external shower, so after a swim in the crystal waters you can rinse of the salt and feeling fresh relax in one of the deck chairs all without stepping inside.
Things to do
With the beach on your doorstep finding something to do is always easy. Take a stroll along the beach, swim or boogie board. Fishing both off and on shore is also popular, with the waters of Jervis bay renowned for fishing.
Jervis bay is a virtual marine paradise, offering a variety of water activities. From Huskisson (a mere 30 minutes away) you can take dolphin and whale watching cruises or enjoy scuba diving at the newly appointed marine park. Jervis Bay offers the most diversified scuba diving along the Australian east coast with dive operators catering for all levels of experience, offering everything from half day, full day or overnight charters and diving with the local seal colony. Snorkelling, sailing and fishing charters are also available to enjoy. Sailing cruises also depart from Callala Bay (5 minute drive away) where swimming, snorkelling and dolphin watching activities are available.
The Shoalhaven is also a recognised wine-growing region and there are many fine wineries to visit, sampling some of the award wining wines and enjoying a superb meal at the restaurants or cafes on site.
The township of Berry (located approximately 40 minutes away) also boasts several wineries along with galleries, antiques, boutique shops and local markets.
