About this property

Well appointed open plan two bedroom house with a large elevated hardwood timber deck with BBQ to enjoy the outdoor living. The living areas, including the main bedroom, offer access to the deck and fabulous views of the Pacific Ocean & Kianinny Bay.

SLEEPING - the property sleeps 6 comfortably (1 x queen in main bedroom, 1x double and 2 x single bunk beds in2nd bedroom). Well suited to two couples wanting a group stay or a couple with 2/3 kids. Please note - linen and towels NOT provided.

PET FRIENDLY - the property is fully fenced with large kennel and is one of only a couple of properties in Tathra that welcome pets by negotiation. Please advise at the time of enquiry/booking if you are bringing a pet.

KIDS - well set up for kids and even toddlers with portacot, high chair and stroller provided. There is also a safety gate for the stairs in case your kids are not yet stair competent. There is also plenty to occupy their time with a great playground in Tathra and very safe swimming at the southern end of the beach or Bega river entrance.

ATTRACTIONS - 150m to professional boating/fishing facilities, whale watching between May & Nov, excellent golf courses, bush walking, historic wharf, pristine beach & river.

Make the most of Tathra's outdoors - exploring on land or by sea.

Situated right on the door step of beautiful Kianinny Bay (250 metres) the property provides convenient access to:

Professional fishing and boating facilities;
Great walking tracks through Bournda National Park;
Superb south coast golf courses;
Whale Watching (May-Nov).

There is superb snorkelling/diving or swimming 250 meters from the house in the protected Kianinny Bay. Kianinny Bay provides free picnic/BBQ facilities and also a boat ramp to access outside fishing. Tathra's main beach, historical wharf, shops, bowling club and restaurants are all only a ten minute stroll away.

If you haven't taken in the beauty and activities that are available in Tathra - you really need too!! Tathra Beach Retreat is the ideal base to do this from.

Fantastic location

This was our second stay and we loved every minute. From the sound of the birds in the morning to watching sunset from the deck while listening to the sound of the surf. It is a lovely 2 bedroom until with a huge north facing deck. Really enjoyed the upgraded kitchen.

good for whales

The main bedroom and deek were suitable for whale watching, and house is only 100 m from one of the best whale watching headlands. The house was clean and suitable for a relaxed stay.

Quiet place to relax

The property is well positioned with good views of the ocean and just a 10 min walk to the shop. It was well provisioned and warm given the cool weather.

Great family holiday

Great location, pet friendly. A lovely home with large backyard and amazing ocean views. Very clean and nice decor. Good position in Tathra away from the busy part of town, lovely walks and swimming areas.

Wonderful stay in Tathra

Great property to use as a base to explore the beautiful Sapphire coast. The property was well located in Tathra and very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The hosts were very good at communicating and happy to host a well behaved dog. Would highly recommend. Thanks so much for hosting us.

Great family get-away

Tathra Beach Retreat is just that, a great retreat on the quiet side of the Tathra township yet minutes from the beach. Our family of five, including 3 children under 6 enjoyed a comfortable stay with everything we needed to cook, bathe, and accommodate our lengthy stay. Looking forward to our next stay.

Fabulous little house

We loved our stay at Tathra Beach Retreat. Clean, comfortable and easy to access. Although not very big, we felt at home from the minute we got there. The property was very pet friendly and the location and view were fantastic. Thank you, we would highly recommend the property to anyone.

Whale watching from the kitchen

The house was in a great location with a fabulous view of the ocean and we were fortunate to be able to see the whales going by in early September. Great little coastal walk from the from door to enjoy.

Perfect Place to Stay

The perfect beach house from which to enjoy Tathra. Loved the location over looking Kianinny Bay. Well set up for a family. Had everything we needed and was very accurate to the advert. Emma was a great host, very easy to communicate with. We will definitely be coming back.

Awesome getaway!

Tathra Beach Retreat is the perfect property for couples, families and pets alike. With a recently renovated kitchen, the house has everything you need to settle in for a comfortable stay. Well located, you are within walking distance, or a 5 min drive, from beaches, bush walks, the Tathra Pub and shops. The hosts are responsive to all your needs and have ensured the property is stocked with all required amenities. Overall an awesome place to make your home base and enjoy Tathra and the Sapphire Coast.

Peaceful Oasis

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house is larger than it appears in the photos, this made for a very comfortable stay. The view from the deck is gorgeous, you could spend hours there watching the ever changing ocean or just listening to the sound of the waves crashing in the bay. Our cavalier loved running around in the fully fenced yard. Communication with Emma was always easy. I would highly recommend this property.

Tathra Family Holiday

Comfortable, clean and convenient. Loved the view!! The property had everything we needed to cater for all our family’s needs, including our dog. A well equipped kitchen, bbq, outdoor furniture, high chair, extra seating and handy little tables. The large back yard with a kennel and plenty of room for our dog to run around was a plus. Adequate cleaning products and equipment. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and already working out when we can stay there again.

Kianninny House

A great position with a lovely view and a large deck. Emma was easy to deal with and fixed a problem we encountered promptly. With four adults and two children, we could have done with two bathrooms or at least a separate toilet.

Beach getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed the 7 nights we spent at tathra with our kids and friends. Whilst a little dated, we found the place a perfect size for us with everything you need. Upstairs deck was perfect for summer evenings and loved how close it was to the bay which is great for young kids. The only thing we can fault is the property whilst clean smelt old and stale on arrival but this wasn’t an issue and we would definitely return again.
