Located just minutes from the many restaurants, shops, and art galleries on Main Street in downtown Highlands, Horseshoe Cabin is a mile from Glen Falls and is in close proximity to many other scenic hiking trails & waterfalls.

This designer cabin offers 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. The open floor plan features a large living room/dining room combination, a kitchen/bar area, and a small outdoor grilling porch directly off of the kitchen. The living room boasts high ceilings, wood beams, a ventless gas log stone fireplace with remote control, and new upscale furnishings. The well-appointed, fully stocked kitchen and Weber gas grill provide everything needed for a night of entertaining or a quiet meal at home.

There is an extensive library to provide endless hours of reading after the day’s activities, in addition to smart TV's in all 3 bedrooms, the living room, and on the screened-in back porch. There is a high-speed cable modem, in addition to WiFi throughout the cabin.

The expanded screened-in back porch provides a peaceful respite after a day of outdoor excursions, activities, or cultural events. Build fires in the wood burning fireplace on chilly autumn evenings, watch football games and your favorite movies on the smart TV, or just relax and listen to nature while enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.

Luxurious Top Notch Cabin Experience

The cabin exceeded our expectations! More beautiful than the pictures. Very comfortable furnishings, large rooms, and beautifully decorated. Everything you would need upon arrival from coffee to snacks. The large porches added very enjoyable living space with a beautiful view. We would highly recommend Horseshoe Cabin!

Perfect Mountain Cabin!

My husband and I just returned home from a stay in this welcoming and beautiful cabin in Highlands. We absolutely did not want to leave!! Mary Ann could not have been a better host and she thinks of everything to make you feel at home and a special guest in her home. It’s very close to downtown Highlands with all the fun shopping and excellent restaurants. We’ve stay in several different properties in the Highlands/Cashiers area and this is one that we definitely want to return to!! It was perfect for us!I highly recommend this one!! You won’t be disappointed!

Fall Break

Treated my two college students to a weekend away in the Highlands. This home is a 15 out of 10. I must say, as an owner of a VRBO myself, I am a little jealous. The amenities and personal touches are simply amazing. It's obvious from start to finish that Mary Ann takes great pride in her home and ensuring a wonderful stay for her guests. I wish I could give this listing more than 5 stars. One of my best ever experiences on VRBO. Mary Ann sent lots of pre-check-in information and made things so easy. Her home was amazing. Lots of extra touches including homemade bread, refrigerator stocked with beverages, comfy bed linens, plush towels. The back porch was a wonderful space to watch football, build a fire, sit and visit. She had a full supply of wood and fire starters. The best part was we could just leave when our time was up. No check out list which was fantastic. Easy drive to downtown Highlands. I will definitely stay here again.

Best VRBO Ever!

We stayed here with another couple, who are best friends, & the 4 of us were extremely satisfied. The owner provided exceptional value not only with the accommodations but also provided food in freezer, some beer & wine, & kitchen was fully stocked with spices & supplies. The furniture was very comfortable & we spent a lot of time on the porch. The Best VRBO we have ever stayed & we all can't wait to return!!! Thanks Mary Ann!!!

The cabin far exceeded my expectations. You feel right at home in the mountains in this perfectly decorated and cozy cabin. The owner's hospitality is in class of it's own. I've never felt more welcomed.

Perfect Cabin near Highlands, NC

We had a wonderful host. She communicated all important information in a timely manner and went far beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The cabin was clean, well built, decorated with high quality, interior design level furnishings. Also, fully equipped with everything we needed and more. It is a truly stunning cabin. We will definitely stay here again if we are in this area.

Not enough stars

Five stars is not nearly enough to rate this phenomenal property. Horseshoe Cabin is tastefully decorated, clean, cozy, warm, and inviting. And that porch! The photos are gorgeous but don’t do justice to the actual setting. Mary Ann, the host/owner, is more than accommodating and helpful; she is generous too. All of this made for a perfect girls’ weekend.

Another amazing time at Horseshoe Cabin

Our family loves staying at Horseshoe Cabin. We have three kids, ages 8, 5, and 5 months and it was the best time. Perfect location to downtown yet still feels very private and surrounded by beautiful trees. The back deck and fire place was perfect for s’mores every night and the cabin is so comfortable and has everything you need. Mary Ann is an amazing host and makes each stay as perfect as the last! We can’t wait to go back!

We had an incredible stay here. The pictures are beautiful, but seeing it in person really exceeded our expectations! The location is perfection. It is close to town as well as some amazing hikes. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood in the evening to take in the beautiful sunset views. We couldn’t have been more pleased with it. Highly recommend!

Rustic Elegance At Its Finest!

What a special place for our annual girl's weekend! We loved every bit of our getaway and our host was extremely thoughtful and accomodating. The decor and small touches throughout the cabin tell a story and added to the coziness of our stay and the proximity to downtown was very convenient. Would definitely recommend!

Spent 2 nights in Horseshoe Cabin…. Was awesome!!! Would definitely recommend it and will come back. Location is secluded and peaceful. Perfect!! The back porch was where we spent most of our time. Everything in the cabin was clean and good quality! The property manager stayed in contact and was very friendly. She made sure all of our needs were addressed and made the whole process incredibly easy. Would definitely visit again! The back patio was perfect to see the fall foliage!

Perfect stay in Highlands, NC

The Horseshoe Cabin is FANTASTIC! The house was very close to downtown area, but in a quiet and private setting. The cabin is decorated beautifully. The cabin was very well-stocked with literally everything we could have possibly needed for our stay, plus a few more things. Mary Ann is a wonderful host who communicated very well before and during the stay and was very responsive to questions. If we are fortunate enough to come back to Highlands, we will definitely stay at the Horseshoe Cabin again.

Awesome 35th Anniversary

Wow! I would give it 10 stars if I could. Very clean and well equipped cabin. Mary Ann was extremely helpful in so many ways...and so nice. Huge screened in deck on back with wood fireplace was very nice for the cool weather we encountered. So relaxing and quiet...and bug free. Comfortable beds and high end everything made it the Perfect cabin for us. I would highly recommend the Horseshoe Cabin for you. We've already booked our next stay.

The most storybook perfect cabin

Such a picturesque cabin- reminded me of a movie set! You feel like you are somewhat ‘in the woods’ but very close to town and neighbors as well which I prefer. The photos don’t do this home justice, it is immaculately furnished and beautiful high ceilings and wood work. The screened in back porch is huge and beautiful for all four seasons with the fireplace! We had a wonderful trip and the host couldn’t have been more accommodating. Thanks!
