Had an absolute amazing stay. Hospitality was second to none. Thank you so much Jenny and David.
Where do I start? My wife and I were looking for a short getaway and Ambledown Brooke did not disappoint. From the hospitality to the sunsets and refurbished carriages all were outstanding. Plenty of wildlife around also. The night sky with a gazillion stars was spectacular and the comfort of the carriages with everything we needed was just as good - oh and all of the film memorabilia had me amazed. We cannot wait to bring the family back for a more lengthy stay next trip. Thank you so much Jenny and David - it’s a 10/10 from us. Well done!!

Train-buffs would love this!
Lovingly restored train carriage on a rural property 15 minutes from Canberra. Secluded and peaceful and perfect for a single night. Well equipped with music, board games and memorabillia. David and Jenny were good hosts, just the right amount of contact (we usually avoid B&B's)

Unique accommodation & friendly hosts
We stayed here for an overnight stopover while on a road trip. Unique and comfortable accommodation; beautiful, peaceful surroundings; and a delicious breakfast prepared and served by friendly hosts Jenny & David, including eggs from their own chooks. Good location to explore the surrounding wineries. Would stay here again if looking for accommodation in the area. The only inconvenience is that they only take cash payment.

The owners put you at ease straight away nand were very attentive to your needs, the breakfast provided within their house was excellent along with their friendly informative insight to Canberra's tourist attractions and how to get there etc.. The carriage we stayed in "4388" was fantastic, we arrived mid Friday afternoon to find our names on a blackboard welcoming us aboard plus the log fire was already up and running, so cosy and romantic. Accommodation was excellent, all cooking utensils provided including a B-b-que. Watching the western sunset over the distant ranges from the timber deck with cheese & bickies plus of coarse a glass of wine in the other hand, well it just doesn't get better than that, of coarse the lady of your mdreams right besides you. The attention to detail by the owners certainly did not go un-noted. Five stars xxxxx Enjoy
