Boathound Bribie, located at 67 Oleander Drive Bongaree is a large modern house, on the gated Bongaree canal on Bribie Island. The house is on a large 809 m2 block with 20 metres of private canal frontage and only 10 minutes from the Bribie passage and the wonderful waters of Moreton Bay.
The house has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, walk-in robe, ensuite with shower, B/ 2 has a double bed, B/R 3 a double bed with overhead single & B/R 4 has bunk beds .
There is a formal dining area, a casual dining area as well as an alfresco dining and entertaining area at the rear of the lounge(see photo gallery) The pool table is at the rear of the double garage in a seperate covered area so that the players can enjoy their game without disturbing others in the house.
Note.
Guests normally supply their own sheets, pillow-slips & towels but if not convenient it can be supplied at a small extra cost. House is self-clean.

Canal living is sooo relaxed. Whether you are playing pool on the genuine slate top pool table or relaxing in the self contained bar area you will love the atmosphere of Boathound Bribie.
You can moor your boat on your own pontoon (non shared) & guests receive a "swipe card" on arrival to allow access to the canal, giving exceptional security for your boat while you enjoy the delights & very easy access to the bribie passage and the fishing grounds further afield, if you wish.
Max. length for craft using the canal is 12.2 m (40 ft.) with under bridges at half tide of 3.3 m (10 ft.) above waterline.
Only 1 boat per group is allowed access to the canal but a second may be parked in the driveway. There are ample Boat ramps in the area
Easy commute to Brisbane if needs be!

Bribie Island is an eco tourists delight. The lovely undulating terrain makes it easy to go for extended walks on the numerous walkways, laze on the beach or pontoon, fish or crab in the canals, or, if you are so inclined further afield fishing grounds are within easy reach without having to cross a dangerous bar.
For those not so inclined there are TV's, and plenty of interesting reading to keep you occupied, without leaving the house.
Other island attractions include, a Seaside Musuem Public libary, movie theatre,2 golf courses 3 Bowls Clubs, 2 Hotels, an RSL surf club numerous Restaurants All on Bribie, plus Woolworths, Aldi and IGA ,Shoping Centres . Please remember this is a locked canal if you are bringing a boat you can check with MBRC 1300 522 192 to make sure the lock is not closed for maintenance.
