3 bedroom, 2 bath, 1700 square foot house, sleeps 8 to 10 people. Located just 4 miles from New Glarus, 10 miles from Monroe and 45 minutes from Madison. Sugar River Bike Trail is less than a 1/2 mile from our front door. Wifi, central air, brand new appliances, 2 sofa sleepers in living room. Nestled in a wooded location for privacy, yet not too far from shopping with the Monroe historic district and the Swiss village of New Glarus nearby.

Nice, quiet home with beautiful views

This home sits on a hill looking west. The home is spacious with a nice back yard and firepit. Close to New Glarus. The rooms are big and very clean. The kitchen has everything you need. Communication with the owner was awesome. Would definitely stay again.

Badger State Bike Trail RIde

This is a well kept older home about a half mile from the Bike trail. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and convenient location. The house sits on top of a steep ridge. The driveway is very steep. You will need to walk your bike up to the house as it is too steep to ride even with an ebike.

Just as advertised

We stayed here with 2 other couples to attend Oktoberfest in New Glarus. The house and its amenities were exactly as advertised ! Very cozy and had everything we needed. Host was extremely responsive and even shared tips on some local restaurants . Would highly recommend and would gladly stay there again .

Fantastic country cottage

We went to Monticello for Cheese Days in Monroe and to meet up with old friends. Sharon's place was super spacious! We sat at the dining room table and played games and had an excellent time!

We stayed in the area in August 2024. The property was exactly as described, located in a peaceful setting just outside of Monticello, Wisconsin. The owners were excellent to deal with.

Time with friends

The property was perfect for getting ready to host my daughters baby shower. The kitchen appliances were new and we had everything we needed to prep and prepare. We took full advantage of the beautiful back yard. Sitting and laughing all night after the party we had at the park in Belleville.

Relaxing Getaway

We enjoyed our time in Monticello. The listing was accurate and we had plenty of room to spread out and relax. Location was close to several towns, attractions, and restaurants. We would stay again!

Quiet location near bike trails

A very well equipped and appointed home with comfortable furniture. Hosts seem to have thought of everything right down to blankets for use around the fire pit. Very quick response time when I texted with questions. Fast internet, separate thermostat for upstairs. Could not have wished for better. Great location for our interests: Ten minutes from New Glarus, 30 minutes from Paoli, 4 minutes from a trailhead for the Sugar River Trail and the Badger Trail. This is an outstanding rental and host.

Excellent Pick!

We loved this property and would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the area. It was a girl's get away and all of us had the same feeling about the house. The decor was welcoming and everything was very clean. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with dishes, utensils etc. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were spotless. Any questions we had were answered almost immediately by the Host. Our only regret was that the weather didn't allow us to grill or use the firepit...next time!

Quiet and relaxing

We booked this so we could attend the Balloon and Blues Fest in a near by town. It was nice to spend the rest of our time in a home where we were together and could relax. The house was nice and very clean. We love the country living so it felt like home. Communication was good with the host with a good response time. The bed was a little to firm for me but the guys liked them. Overall it was the right choice for us and we enjoyed our stay.

This was a wonderful, secluded get away for my husband and me! Very relaxing stay for us!

The home was clean and quiet and very comfortable. We spent time on both the upstairs and downstairs porches drinking coffee in the morning, a little wine in the evenings. The only scary thing is the driveway up for me. No problem for my husband, though! Great place!! Would stay here again!

Great clean place

This is a beautiful home with all of the necessities. It is one of the cleanest homes we have rented and we rent homes 6 or more times a year. The location was excellent, close to a few quaint towns yet all the priavcy and seclusion of being in the country. The owner was kind and responsive to any questions i had. We had a very relaxing time with family! I 100% recommend this place.

Weekend Getaway

Sharon and I live in Monticello, WI with our family on a dairy farm. We have four children, enjoy being outside, like to ride our Harley, take an occasional vacation and work hard! We enjoy meeting new people and are looking forward to seeing many new faces at our cozy rental. :) Sharon responds to most of the inquiries and does work full-time, so please be patient if the response is delayed. Why they chose this property

We bought this property because it was close to our farm and we saw potential as a vacation rental. It used to belong to a friend of the family and is literally just down the road.

What makes this property unique

We have beautiful views of the valley below us. One of the nicest features of the house is the balcony off the master suite. So nice to have the patio door open in the evening and feel the cool breeze as you sleep. Huge back yard for lots of entertaining and lawn games. Fire pit is a nice addition for summertime fun!
