Secluded Cabin with Gorgeous View

This is a beautiful cabin with wrap around porch that overlooks a gorgeous open view of nature. Although you dont have to drive too far to get to town if you need something, it is definitely off the beaten path without close neighbors for a very secluded feel. It was exactly what we were looking for over spring break with our 12 yr old daughter. She loved staying in the spacious loft. We spent every evening in the cabin playing games and enjoying the fireplace. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a lovely getaway with beautiful scenery!

Lovely, cozy cabin

Cute and cozy, home was stocked and made it easy to stay for a week. Clean and absolutely loved the convenience of washer and dryer. Perfect for kids with the upstairs loft, beds, and gaming set up.

February 2025 Stay

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary with a short trip to the area. The cabin was great and we did not have any issues. The owners provided great information and instructions. The location is very peaceful and quiet. It was a great experience!

Stunning, secluded mountain cabin!!!

This cabin is a total delight! The mountain views are spectacular and we didn’t even want to leave the cabin for day trip activities. We hiked down to the creek and found deep snow drifts, even did some sledding right in the valley! Our kids loved it. The cabin was clean and the wood burning stove was so cozy. Watching the water level was no problem. The roads in the neighborhood are dirt, but plowed and extremely well-maintained. We saw beautiful birds, no big horn sheep at the cabin, although we saw some sheep at Garden of the Gods! Thanks Gene and Nancy for sharing your home with our family! We hope to return someday.

Beautiful cabin…

Everything was wonderful. Couldn’t have had a better experience. Since conditions were a bit snowy, having a 4WD vehicle was helpful. Road to cabin winds quite a bit…but we were forewarned of this dynamic before we booked. Saw deer the first night!

Exceptional!

We absolutely enjoyed our time at this mountain cabin. The views were beautiful! We saw Mule Deer and a herd of Big Horn Sheep grazing on site. The cabin itself was clean, well maintained, and stocked with things we may have forgotten. Even though we weren’t able to use everything, there were games, puzzles, books, movies, bikes and more for guests. We appreciated their thoughtfulness to have provided those items. Our overall experience was exceptional!

Beautiful cabin in the woods

We loved staying here. It was away from the hustle and bustle of the towns, but close enough to drive in for groceries or a bite to eat. The house had everything we needed and we even used the wood burning stove one cool night. We went and did an electric bike tour through Garden's of the God's which was spectacular and we got caught in a downpour. It was definitley a memorable experience. I would recommend this quiet, secluded cabin to anyone wanting to enjoy a nice quiet week away from all the city stuff.

Wonderful vacation!

The cabin was clean and cozy! It was very secluded and peaceful. Sitting on the porch, looking at the mountain view was wonderful. Our kids enjoyed the stay and so did we. The cabin was pretty well stocked with supplies. The owners were great to text back if we had concerns. It was far enough off the beaten path to be quiet and private, but you could easily drive up to Divide, or Woodland Park. Colorado Springs was 45 min-1hr but the drive was beautiful! Watching the water levels and having it run low was a bit tricky, but would not stop us from staying again! We hope to be back! Highly recommend. 🙂

Great experience

House was clean and hosts were very accommodating. We enjoyed our stay but one of the beds need a new mattress as it was not comfortable. Other than the mattress everything was great.

Beautiful location

Gene and Nancy were very pleasant to deal with. The property was clean and open with beautiful views. We enjoyed watching the deer in the morning and the starry night sky. There's plenty to do on and around the property and town. We highly recommend it for a quiet getaway or hanging with family and friends.

Perfect little hideaway!

If you want a rustic cabin up in the mountains with some amazing views and sparse neighbors, this is 100% absolutely perfect. It sits about 40 minutes west of Colorado Springs but Woodland Park isn't too far up the road if you need a Wal-Mart. There are neighbors nearby but there are very few places visible from the property and you'll only hear an occasional dog or vehicle pass by. If you're into stargazing, it's world-class on the back deck of the property! There's also a cul-de-sac a few hundred feet off the end of the driveway that has wide open dark sky if you wanted a more panoramic view. Absolutely stunning on a clear night. It's worth mentioning that the route into and away from the house can be pretty confusing without GPS the first couple of times. There's pretty poor cell signal in the area so we had to save an offline map to get us to and from the house while we were there. It's incredibly scenic though with some top-tier views of Pikes Peak so don't let that warning deter you. It's like your own private view. The road leading back to the house has a few steep grades on it. We had no major problems getting a Jetta back and forth during the summer but you would definitely need some 4WD if there was ice or snow on the road during your stay. There's also a Tesla charger on the property if you own one. I will *definitely* check the availability on this house the next time my family decides to vacation in Colorado. I was completely satisfied with this booking!

Quiet relaxing stay

The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable, not too hard, not too soft. We visited Pikes Peak and Cripple Creek. Both were about a 20 minute drive. Always recommend The Hungry Bear in Woodland Park for a breakfast or Brunch. Many fun things to do in the area. Very quiet and dark at night. Very peaceful. I would definitely recommend and come back to in the future.

Awesome Cabin

Enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Few days before our trip the area got around 3 feet of snow. The owners worked hard to make sure the driveway was passable and gave us updates on road conditions. Would recommend 100%

Not recommended in the Winter

I have a Heavy Duty 4x4 truck and the driveway was nearly unpassable. Even the neighbor who shares the driveway was stuck and required a tow to get his 4x4 truck out. The driveway and parking area had not been plowed, so turning around at the cabin in the driveway took multiple attempts in 4 wheel drive to get turned around. The access to the door was completely blocked with 2-3 ft of snow that had shed off the roof. Luckily someone had left a snow scoop shovel out near the small parking space so I could dig our way to the porch and front door. Once inside everything was turned off, no heat, no hot water, wood stove had not been cleaned out of ash. So after a couple hours we finally got the place dug out, heated up, hot water turned on, checked to make sure we had water (there is a cistern in the basement). Then we got to unload our bags, food, etc into the cabin. The cabin is exactly as shown. Very nice, cute. The driveway is approximately 500 ft long, all down hill from the main road to the cabin, in snow and ice. If you park in the cul-de-sac at the end of the road add another 500-700 ft to your trek to get to the cabin...in snow, ice and mud. Cute cabin that would be great as a summer or fall getaway, but can not recommend it in the winter or spring due to Colorado's unpredi table snow fall and the properties lack of winter access. Thank you

Fantastic Cabin!!

Our family of 6 had a fantastic vacation and absolutely loved this cabin! It is adorable and functional, it is secluded enough to feel disconnected from stressful daily life and yet close enough to town and attractions that it wasn't inconvenient. The kitchen was well equipped, there were games and movies for rhe kids, the wifi worked amazingly well and there was just enough snow to have a great time sledding and tubing in the back yard valley. The wood burning stove heater was awesome and kept the cabin very warm. We would highly recommend this cabin to friends, family and who ever is reading this.

Outstanding

The house is amazing, everything we wanted. Really clean. The driveway could be a challenge in the wrong weather conditions, we had no problem with the driveway, it was dry. The owners made sure we knew about the driveway so that wasn’t a surprise. Great place to stay! Right in the middle of everything we wanted to see. The kitchen was well set up and supplied. I am sure we will be there again. The price was fair also.

Why they chose this property

A family cabin near Park City, Utah, inspired us to want to build our own. Plus, we were looking for a place that the whole family could enjoy. We found it in Divide. Completed in 2012, we add improvements to it each year.

What makes this property unique

Besides its quiet comfort, our cabin is uniquely situated to enjoy so much of Colorado. There's something for everyone - from mountain biking, to hiking to touring - and a comfortable place to return to, cook a meal, play a board game, read a book or watch a movie. Perfect for families.
