PETS
Occasionally we allow pets stay, at the our discretion. Stays with pets will incur an additional $40 cleaning charge as, no matter how well behaved, we always find a little extra cleaning is required.
WHY WE LOVE THIS PROPERTY SO MUCH...My personal fav thing about this property other than the great spa bath & cosy gas log heater is laying in the big king bed in the morning with a cup of tea looking out into the treetops and watching the cockatoos fly up the valley & the sunrise over Mt William range magic! Louise
Ross' favourite thing is riding up Mt William at 6am and watching the sunrise over the horizon from the top of the mountain.
Our girls love the space & fresh air, the birds, the wildlife and more recently building really cool cubby houses out of sticks & check out the pics!
TESTAMONIAL - JAN 2010
Yes, we really enjoyed our wonderful quite stay at The Escarpment. Perfect position, plenty of wildlife and walking distance to Halls Gap village. The accommodation was great, it had everything we needed. (I also liked wooden floor!!!). We have already recommended The Escarpment to our friends. Thank you, Ekaterina
"With UK visitors we stayed at THE ESCARPMENT for two nights. A mistake. It should have been two weeks!
THE ESCARPMENT is in a handy position in Halls Gap and is beautifully furnished with everything you could desire on a holiday. We have stayed in Halls Gap a number of times over the years (usually with overseas friends or relations) and have had "satisfactory" accommodation. However, in future,THE ESCARPMENT will be the only accommodation we will consider. We will return!

Many THANKS for our wonderful stay at The Escarpment! We had a fantastic weekend, it was just what we needed...! The house was perfect, well facilitated & clean, the beds were comfy, the spa was awesome and the surroundings were amazing, the peace and quiet was divine! Thank for making our stay one to remember. Thank You very much again for the stay and we look forward to next time we come back, certainly we have told our friends and they have said they will definately visit The Escarpment...! We will definately be back..!!! Kristen Jan 2010
"We stayed at The Escarpment during the weekend of the Hall's Gap Jazz Festival where our band was playing. It's a beautiful house with beautiful surroundings. It is so serene sitting on the deck out the back eating breakfast or lunch and watching kangaroos hop past. We'll definitely be back (in fact, this is our second year staying at The Escarpment!)."
Cheers, Sam

About the host
Hosted by Louise Anderson

After growing up on a farm in South Australia near Robe. Nowadays we live in Richmond Melbourne so thats why we bought The Escarpment as a half way stop from where I grew up and where I live now. We started renting out properties (in Melbourne & Halls Gap) over 15 years ago. We bought The Escarpment because we love bush walking and mountain bike riding. Both of our properties in Halls Gap are in the same stunning elevated location up and away from Grampians Rd which can be noisy at times. We take pride in our properties and are passionate about The Grampians and all the area has to offer. We can't wait to welcome you to stay with us!
Why they chose this property
The Escarpment is located in one of the best locations in Halls Gap. The property is set in an elevated position away from Grampians Rd which can be very noisy. The house is on a large bush block with loads of space and fresh air!
What makes this property unique
Staying at The Escarpment is like being in a treehouse as we have beautiful views out every window. We a fully stocked kitchen so you can get settled in and enjoy your stay.
