Come and enjoy with your family and friends! Stay at our circa 1900 home in coal country Shamokin, PA. We have a combination of new and old throughout the house . Sit on the rear porch with your favorite beverage and admire the breathtaking view! Watch the sun burn off the low lingering misty clouds in the morning or the shadows pass over the mountain in the evening as the sunsets. If you get tired of that enjoy a movie in our theater room or sit around the kitchen table for fun with the family.

Pink house.

Older building but kept well. Location is ideal for us as family lives about a mile and a half away. This makes it convenient for us.

Awesome Mountain View House

Great house with an amazing view of the mountains! The host provided everything you need to make your stay comfortable like home! Best of all is the awesome theater room where we watched plenty of movies! It's also just a short ride to Knoebel's. I would highly recommend this place!

Quiet stay

We stayed here for the mountain hiking and amusements for our kids. The owner was great with response times. I would call this house a sleeper house. Though the outside is dated the inside looks great for the space. The carpeted room was great to let the kids roll around and the large outside kept us outside as much as we could. Only negative we had was the tight stairwell with younger kids. Road is a fast one though traffic is limited. Neighbors say they like the owner. They spoke about how the owner is trying to fix up other properties in the area and keep it clean. Overall a great and safe stay.

Mountain View Retreat

Thanks for a great mini-vacation! Had fun hiking, at Knoebel's, and just generally enjoying the area. Porch sitting was perfect and the theater room was great for a rainy afternoon/evening. Everything was clean and exactly as pictured online. I would definitely stay again.

Everything you could want

We chose this because of its proximity to AOAA. But the extras made it a terrific experience. The theater room with hi def TV and surround sound allowed us to enjoy a movie as a group. And the large table brought us closer at dinner time.

Perfect getaway

Took my son and some of his friends to knoebels for the weekend. And this house worked perfect. Plenty of space and beds. The movie theater room was a great touch. And the large table in the kitchen was great for card games with everybody. The best part (for me at least) was the porch. Watching the early morning fog roll thru the valley was amazing, and i was lucky enough to catch a nice rain storm on Saturday night

Phenomenal house!

Great vacation house with all of the small details handled. From Marshmallow roasting sticks to a fully functioning old fashioned popcorn machine with detailed instructions....amazing! Will stay again!

Great Mountainside Cabin

Quaint country cabin with spectacular view. Main kitchen and dining area offers a great country vibe, bedrooms good size. Movie theater room very cool, but the view was my favorite part. Spent many hours out back, fire pit and just taking it all in. Will be returning!

Simply the Best!

The property was perfect! Great location for all our need. Arrived after a 2.5 hour drive inspected the house everting was in perfect condition. Well stocked with every imaginable necessity a family may need for an enjoyable weekend. Your booklet containing the ware about of local establishments were perfect! Ordered food from your suggested Pizzeria (excellent choice), went to Wises food market, found a local beer distributer all within 10 minutes. Relaxed enjoyed the view, light a bond fire using well stocked shed of wood in your amazing fire pit. Kids played around in the theater room. Big plus! Off to Knobbles in the AM for a jammed packed day. Kids stopped a Mickey D's on their way home we finished up the left overs. I packed it in early, girls chatted till the wee hours. Great family gettogether! Cant wait to book next year! Thank you as you are to be commended for all that you do!

Great family getaway

Me and my teens had an amazing time in the rental. Everything was clean and well stocked. The theater blow our mind and the kitchen was great space for game night. Overall a wonderful experience and will definitely be back. Only thing it is close to the road so if you small children be mindful otherwise great rental.

Boys Riding Trip

The place was perfect, close to AOAA, which left a short commute to ride in the morning. The entertainment room was cool for watching football games, and the kitchen was perfect for the crew we had.

Avoid the foggy drive, stay in Gowen City

As usual, it was easy to rent and worked well as we visited family in the area. It also helps me avoid driving a half hour to the hotel. As there is often fog in the area towards the highway, being about 2 miles from our grandkids is a big plus.

Great place to stay! The house is very clean and has everything you need. We really enjoyed everything, especially the theatre room. Gorgeous view from the back porch. Big plus that we could bring our dogs along with us. Thank you so much! Would love to stay again!

Great property and location

This rustic farmhouse was amazing, The location is great, it is close to so many great places like Knoebels, Rickettes Glen, and Yuengling Brewery. This house is close to shopping, such as Weis Markets and a local beer distributor. The house was very clean and well stocked with all of the essentials household items. This house is directly alongside a major road so you may want to consider that if you have small children, but other than that this place was a perfect fit for our group. We would definitely consider this place again!

Beautiful view unique house

We really enjoyed the unique details of the house, the view and of course the movie room. Host was extremely accommodating and quick to respond to question. Wonderful stay would definitely stay again.

Amazing house! Lovely view. The worst beds! One was broken and the others were awful.

The most amazing view in Pa! Awesome house! Clean and they really provided everything (and lots of it) you could think of! I was shocked and disappointed with the beds! One was broken and not a comfortable bed in the house. Pillows were old and lifeless and a few had tattered pillow cases. It was shocking bc the house is in such nice condition!

Had a great weekend at the property, paired with a Knoebel's visit. Theater room is fun, plenty of room in the kitchen, and gorgeous mountain views from the back porch. Really enjoyed stargazing out there at night.

House was nice. Clean and in a good location for our needs.

The property was nice. Beautiful views from the back porch. Short drive to Knoebels. The only downside is it’s closeness to the road. If you have small kids, be mindful.

Great location for a visit to AOAA

House was super clean and well stocked. Great location for our trip to AOAA. The movie room was a perfect spot to watch the baseball games at night after a full day on the trails. Kitchen was really well stocked, plenty of towels and all instructions left by the host made it super easy to be a guest. House is close to the road so there are late night/early morning traffic sounds but the in-room AC units can also act as white noise to drown it out a bit. Highly recommend the spot if you’re headed to AOAA!!
