Sunnyside Beach Villa is a lovely, spacious, light, and airy beachfront rental villa directly on a beautiful stretch of sandy beach in Spanish Wells Eleuthera Bahamas. This area is safe, clean, and pristine. The rental offers free use of a stainless-steel gas grill, (2) tandem ocean kayaks, SUP board, and hammock.
The villa rental offers three master suites - each offering its own bedroom, full bathroom, and a 9' expanse of French doors leading onto a spacious covered verandah with excellent views of the beach, sea, and surrounding islands. Likewise, the large, airy, open, great room with high ceilings offers an outstanding ocean view from a 16' expanse of sliding glass doors, which also lead unto the large covered verandah overlooking the ocean. All renters agree, this villa offers the best ocean views on the entire island from every room! They call it 'a million dollar view.' This villa is bright, cheerful, and comfortable.

This villa rental offers all amenities including a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living area, open kitchen, central A/C, ceiling fans throughout. This spacious beach villa rental offers more than 120 feet across private beach front, which makes it quite private. (Other homes on the beach offer as little as 36 feet of beach frontage with neighboring home overhangs actually touching, some are connected to other apartments, and others are not really on the beach at all. ) Sunnyside's is a BEACHFRONT property offering 120' of private beach -- more than any other rental in Spanish Wells. Sunnyside is NOT near the beach, close to the beach, a short walk from the beach, a lot behind the beachfront lots; it is a BEACHFRONT property.

Renters here have delighted in catching many bonefish directly in front of Sunnyside Beach Villa. There is also terrific snorkeling, fishing, and diving available in Spanish Wells. Sunnyside Beach Villa includes free use of (2) 2-man ocean kayaks and paddleboard which are great ways to explore the area. (Otherwise, kayaks and paddleboards are very expensive to rent separately if you can find one for rent.) Golf cart rentals are plentiful in Spanish Wells and can easily be rented starting at $225/wk. = $32/day.

Sunnyside Beach Villa is located on an idyllic beach with powder soft pinkish sand. The beach is calm, tranquil, and warm with no rocks, rough surf, or riptides, and the ocean is so clear you can see your shadow on the bottom!

Historic Preacher’s Cave, other hidden caves, a magnificent blue hole, the truly amazing Glass Window Bridge, Queen’s Bath, and he took us to pick fresh mangoes from his farms – delicious! Spanish Wells is the fishing capital of the Bahamas, so there are all kinds of fresh seafood available. Great place

Great location and friendly people

This was our second visit to Spanish Wells. We selected Sunnyside Beach Villa for more room, proximity to the beach, and location closer to town. This property was exactly what we were looking for. The location really cannot be beat for privacy, beach access, and proximity to everything you want in Spanish Wells. All the rooms were comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked for meal preparation. We also appreciated the abundance of large tables indoor and out for our larger party. We cooked most meals and always found what we needed. The grocery store is just around the corner so picking up an extra item or two was a cinch. The house includes beach toys and a few kayaks for exploring the water. Bring your snorkel gear and you won’t want to leave the house but just incase you do, the property manager arranged multiple outstanding excursions for our group. From sea turtle and stingray encounters to beach hopping, snorkeling and deep sea fishing, they can handle it all. Ask for Captain Smiley and you’ll be all smiles as well. As much as we enjoyed the property, it’s the people who made our visit so wonderful. The property managers were so kind, helpful, and accommodating and it really made our experience second to none!

Super Beach Holiday

My family including 6 adults and one 5 year old loved our stay. 3 couples each had our own bathroom with comfortable beds. The house was a terrific beach house with everything we needed. We loved just walking out the back door to the beach. We rented an extra golf cart to give us the ability to so our own thing when needed. Spanish Well is terrific, safe. Lorraine, Kalina and Brent Beauregard were wonderful even bring us vegetables from the farm. We had a great day of fishing and a 1/2 of sea adventures with Captain Smiley. We highly recommend. The Beauragard’s really make everything so easy from arranging taxi and transportation to and from the airport and making sure that we were happy with everything.

House and location just amazing. Property manager was always an email away. Was charged in American dollars from the Canadian VBRO site so be very AWARE that your paying in Canadian dollars!! Contacted VBRO and they were no help at all!!!

A really great spot

Spectacular house, right on an incredible beach. House is not awash in luxury but it has everything you could want for a wonderful beach holiday. Support was really good -- very responsive before we arrived and once we got there. Highly recommend booking with these guys. And what a great little town, just what we wanted. Not too touristy, but just enough amenities. Not to miss: ice cream at Eagle's Landing, fresh fish and lobster from Bernard, incredible lightening storms over the water. Recommendation: Bring an ATM card or plenty cash, lots of places do not take credit cards.

Wonderful property in a perfect setting!

First trip to Spanish Wells - and can't wait to go back! Lorraine and Kalina could not have been more helpful or attentive to our travel needs - arranging our transport from airport by taxi to the Ferry, and picked us up upon arrival and took us to this wonderful property. We had seven in our party - and the layout of the house was perfect - very comfortable, open floorplan, large covered deck, and steps to one of the most beautiful, peaceful beaches in the Bahamas. Kayaks, Paddleboards, and floaties all included. We rented two golf carts as well for our trip (which were arranged and waiting for us upon arrival) - which allowed us to freely explore the island - a place filled with friendly people, fantastic food, and plenty of adventures in the ocean. Thank you for your hospitality - and we look forward to returning to visit the island and this property again in the future!

Love Spanish Wells

We’ve been to SW several times. This time, we needed a one-level home and beachfront. We wanted the best beach experience for family member with limited mobility. This house disappointed us on that. There is no “beach” view from the house or the lovely back porch. There is a view of the water, but not the beach. The path to the beach was not possible for her either. I regret I didn’t clarify that. Kitchen needs lighting and could use a few knives. Utensils and pans were greasy feeling, so we washed before use. Living area furniture is uncomfortable. Bathroom mirror needs replaced and some lighting would help. Lorraine took good care of us. We will return to SW. The people were kind and helpful everywhere we went.

Mid-winter getaway

We had a great two weeks in Sunnyside Beach Villa. The location was very convenient to shopping and dining, and the view from all three bedrooms was excellent. Sitting and relaxing on the porch while watching the blue water was great. We enjoyed several nights with a short ride to Papa Scoop's for ice cream as well. We also relaxed in the hot tub on several occasions. Our property manager was attentive to our needs, which weren't many, and Captain Smiley took us out shelling on one of our many beautiful days. On another day, we took a quick ferry ride to Harbour Island, which was a nice visit. The weather was great overall, and we really enjoyed our first time visiting Spanish Wells.

Trip of a Lifetime

This was a trip of a lifetime. I had been trying to talk my wife into going for several years and finally got her to do it for our 15th Anniversary..... We also decided we couldn't experience this beautiful island without our the 3 kids ( 7 yr old twin girls, 5 yr old son). We all 5 had one of our best experiences ever, from the time we landed in Northern Eleuthera via Pineapple Air to the time Mr. Underwood picked us up at 5:45 AM to take us back across the water to start our return trip. Sunnyside was perfect for a family and was well equiped. The kids and wife loved the kayak and paddle boards. The view from the kitchen/den and back porch were amazing and relaxing. The beach has a short path over the dune from the back of the house to the almost private beach. We might have seen 5 other people at any one time on the whole beach. The kids played almost all day, every day out in the water and in the beautiful soft sand. We ventured out to the sandbar and found shells. We walked out into the less than waist deep water(at low tide) until we couldn't walk anymore. One day we went out with Captain Smiley and Captain Ron for a snorkeling and fishing trip, which was amazing. They took us all around Egg Island and the kids worked their way out from the beach to swimming around the reef offshore. They even let them run around and the girls do cart wheels on a flat in the middle of the sea. This was their favorite part of the trip. Then we got back on the boat and Capt Smiley helped all 3 kids each catch plenty of fish. These guys made sure we had a great time. Capt Ron even gave us some mahi mahi to take home to cook. The food on the island is ok. Lots of the same frozen type generic foods at almost every place. Breakfast was good at the restaurant next to the grocery and bank. Shipwrecks near the harbor was very good. We had dinner at the yacht club that was pretty good as well. We cooked a couple of nights and picked up crawfish tails at the fish market by the harbor, which were excellent. We made several trips to the grocery for breakfast and lunch goods and it had everything you could want. It was a little high priced but for just a week and on this great island, it's worth the price. Overall, we will definitely go back, not sure when but hopefully sooner than later. Lorraine and Anna-Claire took great care of every detail. Thanks again!

Beautiful!

We had rented with another couple, so the house was perfect! Each bedroom had its own bathroom for more privacy! The house was well appointed and had everything we needed. The back porch was wonderful! The views from the house were a postcard! Just Paradise!! Lorraine was great getting back to us when ever we needed her! We are already planning our next trip! We all can't wait to go back!!! Spanish Wells is a gem and so are the people! We hope it stays that way for a very long time!

Sunnyside

This was our first trip to the Bahamas and were not quite sure what we were in for. Lorraine and her team took care of EVERYTHING for us. She answered my hundreds of questions and made sure that everything went smoothly the entire time. This house is truly amazing and has breathtaking views from every room in the house. It was a large house with plenty of room for the 9 of us to move around in. The porch expands the entire beach side of the property and is awesome for relaxing after a day in the sun. The beach is so clean with a powder pink sand. The water is magical. We had small kids so the water being as shallow as it was made swimming for them allot of fun. We were able to catch Conch and Starfish that were only 5 feet down. I highly reccomend renting the boat from Captin Smiley and the golf cart. Captin Smiley and Captin Scuba were great to work with and gave us all the fishing holes. The locals get around mostly in golf carts, which I would reccomend to get around the Island. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. Be sure to check out Buddahs and the Sand Bar for great food and drinks. I could go on and on about how great everything here is and write a book. Hands down the most beautiful place we have ever been. Thank you Lorraine and the people of Spanish Wells for creating memories that will last a lifetime!

Great Time

I recently rented this home well situated on the best beachfront in Spanish Wells. The home is well outfitted for a large group and everything works..which can be a challenge sometimes in the Bahamas. Lorraine was easy to deal with and the house is as advertised.

Spectacular Views

The views from this home are spectacular!. The beach is great and the home is in a nice location w/ easy access to grocery store/restaurants & Russell island. Unfortunately though the furnishings need updating. Towels literally were raveled at the edges, bedding was thin and out dated. Furnace is over 20 years old (which is probably why in the contract they state they will charge you extra for excess usage and recommend only turning air on periodically as furnace/ blower is ancient/inefficient) (so beware if booking during hot summer months) Outdoor steps off of patio need something on them to prevent slipping as well. Very Very slippery when wet (if you rinse your feet off when you come in from the beach). Again though the view is great, location is great and the home with a few inexpensive upgrades (towels / bedding) would be terrific as well.

Spectacular!

The house it self was large, clean and well maintained. We comfortably slept 9 people. The house is located directly on the beach, which unlike other Islands had clean and comfortable sand, once in the water the grade falls off very slowly and fairly far out from the shore with the crystal clear water this made for child safety and a good view of sea life underneath. We used the kayaks and hot tub daily. The island and the residents were wonderful. We tried to eat at every restaurant and they were all very good. The primary transportation is a golf cart. A well stocked grocery store was less than a mile from the house. The ladies at the grocery store had the best conch salad and conch fritters we had ever tasted. As part of our stay we rented a fishing boat which kept us supplied with a large amount of fresh fish which we cooked fresh nightly. We have visited several other islands over the years and Spanish Wells is the one that we will be returning to year after year.

Peace and Quiet with a Million Dollar View

The best vacation we’ve ever had! We were so happy to find Spanish Wells; an island with friendly local residents, restaurants, shopping, no safety concerns, and amenities: like a fully stocked grocery store, a wonderful masseuse (Lucia at Bodyworks), and fresh caught fish every day for dinner. The pictures on the website of the sea and surrounding islands from the great room through the wall to wall sliding doors don’t do justice to the view. In a word: Breathtaking! The beach is about 50 feet from the covered veranda and the smallish dune provides privacy. The villa has 3 large bedrooms, all with their own separate bath (called en suite) and each has doors to the veranda. Everyone gets a "view". Thank you Lorraine; for meeting us at the dock with our golf cart when we arrived, storing our luggage for the day (as we were early for our reservation), escorting us to the villa, and also for the Johnny cakes (an English muffin type bread). We can't say enough about the island and the local folks. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. We used the bikes, hot tub, and the golf-cart every day and if we weren’t so lazy we would have used the kayaks more than once. Our only regret was not staying longer. We’re going back in October, and this time we plan to take an excursion or rent a boat.

Ideal.

Our stay at Sunnyside was the vacation of a lifetime. Spanish Wells was the ideal location for a true getaway, with a beautiful house, beachfront location, peace and quiet, and a lovely island with wonderful people. We enjoyed our trip with Captain Smiley, which was a wonderful tour and intro-snorkel for the kids. We saw leopard rays, fish, and other fascinating underwater life. The bicycles and kayaks were a great bonus and we enjoyed them almost every day. We were able to take hours- long walks and able to bike to the far end of Russell Island without threat of being run over, a novelty for us city folk! A real treat. We had looked forward to this vacation, but it really exceeded our expectations, which was really just an escape from all that is American east-coast busy-ness. This fit the bill and we cannot wait to return. I could drone on and on, but sha'nt. It was just that good.

Wonderful

Wonderful home met our needs perfectly. Our group of 5 with three separate parties had plenty of room and privacy. Great hot tub. Lorraine was great to work with from the start and Brent helped us with everything wonderfully during our stay. Take a day trip to Harbour Island by way of water taxi....very fun. Get a massage from Lucia at Bodyworks...amazing. Quiet, beautiful beach was perfect for relaxing and looking for shells.

Beautiful view=Total relaxation

Sunnyside is in the PERFECT location for a beachside holiday while close to shopping and restaurants. The living room faces the beach (there's a small dune for privacy!) and a wall of glass literally pulls back to create an open air space. Amazing! We rented a golf cart to puddle around town and drive out to a great new beach restaurant on Russell Island. Everyone is so friendly!!! The best part is swimming in crystal clear water right out the door!! Lorraine is the perfect hostess-greeting us with fresh baked bread AND fresh tomatoes from the garden in January!

Our family dates back to the original Eleutheran Adventurers, the first European settlers in The Bahamas, dating back to 1648, who shipwrecked on Devil's Backbone Reef just off of Preacher's Cave in nearby North Eleuthera.. What can we say? Love at first sight! This property is the widest beach property available in Spanish Wells, so, there is that much more private beach for us and our renters to enjoy. This property is the center of the 2+ mile long pinkish sandy beach. The home was constructed in such a way that all rooms have a fabulous beach and ocean view, and the entire house opens up for the breezes to just blow through. Ahhh .... Paradise!
