American Pie June 2023

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of the house is great. The general condition of the house is good as the owners did some exterior work to it such as painting. The interior is so-so and fairly clean. The furniture in the den really needs to be updated. The shower curtain in guest bath was disgusting. The faucet in the master bath really needs replacing and maybe consider a whole-house water filter due to the faucet screens getting clogged with sediment. Also the cleaning crew needs to be reprimanded. They are NOT doing a good job between guests' stays. We picked up and threw away a kitchen sized trash bag of clothing left behind from the previous vacationers. It was ridiculous. The under cabinet-light above the coffee maker needs fixing.Other than that it was an enjoyable stay.

Just wish the clothes dryer would have worked or could have been repaired before we has to leave. That was a huge inconvenience. Over all we would stay there again.

A much needed vacation

The house was clean and the bed was comfortable. The beach access is close and the neighborhood is quiet. Perfect place to get away. We also watched the deer go through the yard.

Yearly Family Vacation on Jekyll Island

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: American Pie met our expectations for the two weeks that we were there. We had our family of five as well as other friends staying throughout our stay. We eat in most of our stay so the large amount of kitchen supplies made me, the cook, very happy! We have stayed there before and I like the updated couches as well as some new flooring. Other key points to note are that the air conditioners worked well, fridge had a consistent temp., and water pressure in showers were better than in other cottages I have rented. Personally, I have been coming to Jekyll for 39 years. I grew up coming with my family and now bring my own family. I am happy for the changes because I think it will help Jekyll Island so that when my kids have kids, they can come and start their own family traditions and memories. I think the island will work out the inconveniences that are occurring with the new hotels and rules/regulations of a state park island. Now, if only you could bring in some fish close to shore so my husband can catch something, we would be all set! (Just kidding!)
