The view from the kitchen and outdoor deck to the palm and pine trees was spectacular. The pool was dreamy and the owners were friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend.
I agree with all previous reviews..this is a lovely comfortable property. It has all you need ..great kitchen comfortable beds ..The outlook from the deck is beautiful and the pool is such a wonderful luxury We had a great stay. The check in process is a meet n greet...which was fine but does require negotiating arrival time and the driveway is shared with another property which didnt impact us but is something to be aware ofWe highly recommend for a bit of time outbonus
Lovely relaxing property in a peaceful location with a quick drive to dog beaches. We loved relaxing on the back deck and Jo and Mark were very welcoming hosts!
Amazing place for a holiday. It felt like our own private resort. Very private and tranquil with abundant wildlife. Fantastic pool and huge outdoor balcony that was great for watching tropical lightning storms in the distance. Dog friendly beach was less than a 10 min drive and local pub only 5 min drive away for a great dog friendly lunch....Blissful! drive
This property is fantastic!! It is so quiet and peaceful and the pool and deck areas made it so easy to relax. Hosts are great to deal with and we’re super helpful at check in.
This was our third stay at Pocket Pines and we loved it again! We spent time exploring nearby towns (we love Brunswick and Bangalow) as well as time relaxing by the pool, walking around the property and when the weather turned, we were cozy by the fire. The deck and outlook is wonderful any time of day and the kitchen has everything required for self-catering. The whole house is very well appointed for any season. We'll definitely be back again!
Pocket Pines is absolutely charming. It exudes peace and tranquility. Our time here was a quiet escape that was exactly the break we needed to restore us. The house is absolutely charming and the property is so beautiful. We spent our time on the verandah enjoying the amazing view, listening to the birds, watching the cows, and soaking up the absolute quiet serenity. Pocket Pines was pure bliss for us in our search for rest and relaxation.
From the crystal clear pool to the lovely balcony overlooking the sunset, Jo & Mark’s is absolutely wonderful.
With a fantastically equipped kitchen,it really has everything you may need or want.
This little home in The Pocket is fabulous. Johanne & Mark are wonderful hosts. Fantastic kitchen and set up. Deck area which chases the sun and a fireplace in wintertime. The magnesium pool was a real treat… even in winter. Highly recommend starting the day with a bath and watching the beautiful sun catchers dance their magic across the room. This is such a nurturing home with all the comforts one may seek. Listening to all the birds and soft sound of breeze through leaves & one ever giving Grapefruit tree & fresh laid eggs from chickens was a real treat. Plenty of space to branch out and explore. Also highly recommend the Main Arm General Store for lunch ~ a sweet 10min drive up the hill for the best burgers - ever! If you continue along the road from there - hit dirt roads & waterfalls. Just a stunning piece of paradise away from the hustle.
This property is a hidden gem. We loved the privacy, the nature surrounding us and the countless hours spent by the pool. Our dogs made friends with the cows in the next paddock and they made sure to say hello each day. The house was equipped with everything we could want during our stay. Our time went by so quickly - we can’t wait to come back!!

Our stay at pocket pines
The property was beautiful unfortunately for us we thought we could walk to bus stop to get to Bluesfestival. Website could probably explain the remoteness of location. Would definitely recommend to have a car.
Comfortable beds and seating, amazing pool and beautiful natural surroundings pretty much summarise our experience.
The only minor set back for us was that the yard isn’t fully enclosed so we had to be mindful of the dog and keep him contained but that’s fully expected at a property like this.
The house & property is actually better than it looks in the photos - it is cosy but has plenty of space, the pool is clean & inviting, & there are lots of comfy chairs & day beds to relax in. I spent most of my time reading a book (hardly ever get a chance to do this nowadays) in the same comfy chair on the deck with one of my dogs on my lap, looking thro the rain at the cows, ducks & whipbirds in the paddocks across the way - sooo relaxing especially with a glass of wine in hand!!
We had a wonderful holiday and look forward to coming back one day. Thank you Jo & Mark
Wonderful holiday, left feeling very relaxed.
Holiday house is so close to everything you need, but yet you feel like your miles away from everyone. Will definitely be back.
The 14 year old rated it her best holiday yet ( pool, wifi-fi & space).
The dogs loved the place.
My wife & i loved the place and hope to make it there again.
Our hosts, Jo & Mark were so friendly and helpful with any questions or news.
This property was just what was needed to get away from the rat race and negativity of the last 2 years. Remote enough to be peaceful and rejuvenate but close enough to great attractions. It was a delightful stay.
Had a lovely stay here for 3 nights. Perfect little getaway for our family, travelled with our newborn and 2 year old. Loved exploring the property for walks with the dog, dip in the pool (very cold) but refreshing and sitting by the fire in the evenings. It has everything you need and want. Also close to the 'must see and do's'.
The Pocket Pines property is charming and has a relaxing rustic ambience with lovely views. The property also has a modern kitchen and bathroom, great TV and good wifi. It is well located in relation to the many sightseeing attractions in the area (e.g., Crystal Castle, Byron Bay Lighthouse, etc). We particularly enjoyed breakfasts on the verandah watching flocks of yellow tailed cockatoos. We never met out host Jo in person but she was quick to positively respond to all our questions/requests. We would be happy to stay there again.
