About this property

Asheville's luxury treehouse!

The Treehouse is close to all that Asheville has and is only minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. You’ll love the ambiance, the outdoor space, and the comfortable accommodations. It is spacious; the largest treehouse on the east coast, and cozy and ultra comfortable. The treehouse is a good for couples, writers, painters, families, and furry friends (pets). My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).

Come experience the magic of being being held in the arms of hundred year old trees surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Treehouse is build of quality materials and is a masterpiece of artistic design and skilled ability. Unique designs from nature are incorporated at every angle.

The fully equipped kitchen, complete with chef's knives and copper cookware, will delight every gourmet cook. Grill masters will be happy to grill on the gas grill on the deck, and others can use the micro -wave/convection oven.

No window treatments to block the view. Out of the windows each of the four seasons can be observed.

•Winter - the forest has a fresh coat of leaves carpeting her floor. The long range views are specular with the mountains turning a beautiful pink to purple as the sunset reflects against the trees.
•Spring - the mountains "green up" as the days grow longer. In the warmer valley the leaves come out first, then you can watch every day as the mountains green up!
•Summer - Thick green leaves. We have more varieties of trees than anywhere outside of the Amazon!
•Fall - Specular. Colors, colors, colors. Cool nights and warm days. Fabulous.

Guests have the entire house, decks and can meander down the hill to the little creek shared with other guests at the Carolina Jewel.

We love to meet and greet our guests when possible.
Please inquire about pets, we love our fur babies of the canine variety but do limit the number and size of dogs. There is a pet fee of 75 per pet.

Amazing experience
My family of 4 had such an amazing stay in the treehouse. It was clean and comfortable. The fireplace made it extra cozy. There is something extraordinary about getting to stay in a treehouse in the mountains. We loved the amenities provided and the recommendations by the host were perfect. We hiked, zip lined, and ate our way through our visit. Thank you for sharing you spectacular place with our family to make memories that will last forever.

Amazing Treehouse
My family stayed here in April for Spring Break. This place was amazing. It had everything that you need to have a relaxing stay. We spent a lot of time just hanging out at the treehouse. My seven year son loved this place. He spent lots of time in the hammock, playing in the crows nest and running around the wrap around deck. He did not want to leave. You can tell that the owners have put a lot of special details into the treehouse and that they take great care of it. It’s more like a treehouse castle. We enjoyed our stay here and definitely recommend it. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would.

Dream Getaway, Relaxing Among the Trees
What an incredible place!! We love visiting Asheville from Charlotte, so it's one thing just to be in the mountains, but this was an altogether separate experience. Here, it was much easier to unplug from everything and just "exist" and enjoy each other's company for many reasons. Our kids loved it too! I asked our four-year-old what his favorite thing was about the treehouse, and his first response was "the hidden closets" and then immediately said "wait—the hammock" and then finally, "no, the outdoor shower!" Both he and our 20-month-old spent a great deal of time outside on the wraparound deck, and we loved how we could close the gate and just let them play. We ate our dinners outside too. The bed upstairs was probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on, and I'm not even exaggerating. The heated floors in the bathrooms added a super nice touch too. Everything was exceptionally clean and new, and you can tell how well maintained everything is just by walking barefoot on the smooth, wooden deck. Proximity was great to downtown Asheville (just about 20 minutes out) and there were also some great little restaurants in downtown Weaverville, just 9 minutes away (many of which were fully booked, so make a reservation). Funniest thing was that despite having 2 full baths, we ONLY took showers in the outdoor shower, which had great pressure and temperature, and we were able to get our kids washed up in minutes (by the way, you have privacy with bamboo doors that latch closed). Huge thanks to the host (Eva) for making this weekend special for us. So glad you had the idea to create such an exceptional place!! Will definitely be booking the Carolina Jewel again one day!

A stay in the trees
The property was absolutely lovely and more than advertised! The bed was so comfortable we slept like lambs. The home was spotless with every amenity required. Ashville and Weaverville host so many options for food, outdoor activities etc. and the home is in a fantastic location to quickly explore all the offerings. Highly recommend the sunset e-bike tour in Ashville if you enjoy amazing views and history and aren't opposed to a little exercise. On our excursion we even saw a momma bear and her cub!! The treehouse stay was the perfect compliment to our daily excursions.

Nice getaway
My husband and I stayed in the treehouse as part of a family get together. The rest of the family stayed at the carolina jewel and cabin. The tree house has everything you could possibly need. The dishes and cookware are top of the line. There is a keurig for coffee. The outside shower is something you must do. The only downfall but what is expected for a treehouse is getting to the house. The path is well done and winds up the steep slope. There are occasional steps made from big stones. However the last little bit is about 12 of these stone steps. We are both in our 60s and we are not overweight and the climb was an adventure. If you live in a 2 story house you may be usedto the steps. Basically we just tried to be organized to limit our trips to and from the house. I also tend to pack in big bags instead of suitcases so that made it easier. .... the watermelon was another issue however.LOL Overall this a fabulous place to kick back and relax. I personally would love tocarry everything up once and then just stay up in the trees reading books and drinking wine

Stunning Treehouse!
We really enjoyed our stay at the treehouse! I recommend watching the episode of Tree House Guys so that you can appreciate the intent behind a lot of the design. It rained the entire stay so we weren’t able to enjoy the deck as much as we’d like but what better place to be ‘cooped up’ than here!? We opened the windows to hear the rain and explored the trail and creek in between showers. The location is great and close to groceries and restaurants to pick up dinner from. Also a very easy drive into Asheville. We were pleasantly surprised by the quick access to the Blue Risge Parkway as well. It was a great escape for us to focus on our family and make some wonderful memories.

Spring Break get away from Georgia
The treehouse is adorable and I enjoyed the luxury touches. Our kids loved the whimsy. We had a great time and were able to enjoy both Weaverville and Asheville restaurants and attractions from this location. This was a great alternative to the madness of northern Florida for a driving Spring Break trip from Georgia.

Unique Getaway
My two children and I stayed at the treehouse for three nights - what a fun and unique experience! There was plenty of room and it was nice having two full bathrooms. The expansive porch was wonderful and offered great views. The kids enjoyed exploring the surrounding woods and creek nearby too.

About the host

Hosted by Eva Greene

Host profile image
Michael and Eva are Asheville natives and couldn't be happier to call Asheville home. They purchased the old farmhouse and cottage and transformed it in the "Carolina Jewel" . Fast forward a couple of years and the dream of building a treehouse became reality.

Why they chose this property

This property is located in one of the most beautiful valleys in North Carolina. The stream that runs at the bottom of the hills is music to my ears! In addition, the birds are amazing! Have you ever listened to the sound of a wood thrush? It is mystical and enchanting, usually only singing in the late summer afternoon.

What makes this property unique

The unique feeling of being supported and surrounded by the trees and then by the mountains is magical. The Treehouse is build of quality materials and is a masterpiece of artistic design and skilled ability. Unique designs from nature are incorporated at every angle.

The fully equipped kitchen, complete with chef's knives and copper cookware, will delight every gourmet cook. The non-cooks will be glad to grill on the gas grill on the deck or use the micro -wave.

No window treatments to block the view. Out of the windows each of the four seasons can be observed.

Winter - the forest has a fresh coat of leaves carpeting her floor. The long range views are specular with the mountains turning a beautiful pink to purple as the sunset reflects against the trees.

Spring - the mountains "green up" as the days grow longer. In the warmer valley the leaves come out first, then you can watch every day as the mountains green up!

Summer - Thick green leaves. We have more varieties of trees than anywhere outside of the Amazon!

Fall - Specular. Colors, colors, colors. Cool nights and warm days. Fabulous.
