A little blue oasis

We are repeat guests to the Blue house and hope to be back again soon. We had a relaxing time with everything we needed to make for a perfect break for us all (pooch included). Beautifully appointed, clean and homely . Close to all that the township of Portarlington has to offer also.

Portarlington Paradise with dogs

A well-loved family beach house, this suited our needs perfectly. Our dogs could frolic in the well maintained fenced backyard or wander in the fenced front yard while we prepared to set off for the day. The house was well-equipped for any need and weather, could have accommodated another couple with small children. Hats off to our lovely hosts who maintain their property so beautifully.

Amazing, relaxing break

What a beautiful home and native garden. Extremely clean and the dog biscuits left for our fur babies were a lovely surprise. The dogs also really enjoyed spending their time playing in the garden and paddling in the sea on the off leash beach. The small town was full of life, very clean and the Sunday market was delightful. We will be returning.

Beach Holiday

This is an amazing place to stay, the house was fantastic with everything you need and in a great location, we were able to walk to the beach. Our family and puppy had a wonderful stay at Blue Sea Retreat and will definitely return.

Short stay

We had a lovely time visiting Portarlington and staying at this great little cottage. Very doggie friendly, secure and a short walk into town. This was my second visit and I love the cottage, it is clean and thoughtfully decorated, you don’t need to worry about anything. Only one negative- the dishwasher simply needs replacing, only one tablet provided and it actually does not clean the dishes, all had to be Re washed by hand, which is a huge waste of water. It’s done it’s time definitely.

Gayle's three day stay

The house was lovely and clean with everything you could want or need included to make you feel at home. The garden was beautiful. High secure fencing and a big undercover verandah made it a perfect place to stay if travelling with pets. Very happy, even better than photos.

Pretty Portarlington cottage

The property is very well presented and well equiped with everything you need for your stay. The rear garden is very private and nicely laid out. The rear deck would be a lovely area to enjoy a sunny day. Unfortunately it was cold and wet for our weekend away, so we were very appreciative of cozy doonas and throws, firewood for the fireplace. The owners have also supplied lots of DVDs, games and reading material to keep guests entertained. Overall the place is very comfortable and well appointed and the owner was very easy to communicate with and very accommodating.

Blue Sea Retreat is a real treat

The house is comfortable and peaceful, the garden is beautifully kept. In late autumn violets are flowering just about everywhere. Out on the roadside frogs croak, the grass is lush and most properties are well maintained. My dog loves racing around in the safe backyard. Everything I need is ready in the kitchen, and there are plenty of places to sit and eat or enjoy the quiet. The great attraction of Portarlington for me is the clifftop walk, the doggy beach, and a gentle cruise around the Esplanade to St Leonards, where I go to admire Red Bluff every visit.

Great property for our week away with our dog. Back yard is large and fully fenced. House was very clean and suited our needs. Heater in living area was very effective and guest booklet was very helpful. I added a few up to date brochures.

Comfortable light-filled cottage with everything you could need for an enjoyable stay. Located in a quiet neighbourhood minutes from the local beach and shops and, ideally located to explore the attractions of the Bellarine Peninsula.

Love it!

This was our 3rd stay. Such a cute, clean, comfortable dog friendly house! The area is so quiet which really works with two “security schnauzers” who think they have to bark at anything that moves!! They had nothing to do but enjoy the beautiful yard and the beach just down the road. We will be back!
