Large, Clean and Well Equipped

Property was very nice. Greeted personally by a property manager to review the house which was a nice touch. Well equipped and had lots to offer. The only thing was that the family room was "sunken" and required the use of 4-5 steps to get to the kitchen, game room and bedrooms. Not an issue for most but there were a few over 70 who were not fans of the steps. Other than that, house was very nice and property manager was very responsive - went above and beyond to ensure we immediately had a Keurig when the original one was missing. A few blocks from the neighborhood was not the best area but once we got closer to the house, it changed and became very nice. Would recommend this house for a group gathering. Comfortable, clean and has everything needed for a fun stay

Large house with a beautiful view

The neighborhood felt a little unsafe. The view was amazing and plenty of beds for our group of 15. The large dining table was really great to have.

Needs updates

Good things—borders on an arroyo which is nice. Pool and hot tub nice. Lots of beds but furniture was plywood and not comfortable. Many obviously DIY projects that need updating including main two bathrooms. Good storage in bedrooms and one walk-in closet. Lots of dishes. Oven updated but stove top not easy to use and obviously not professionally done. Refrigerator froze fruits and could not be adjusted. Seemed like college break “manor”. All the 2 to 3 steps up and down could be problem for young children. Not a luxury site—large and ok. Location is fine for quiet but not near most “sites”. Before you rent—ask for updated photos.

Pool and view make this house a must!

We loved staying at this house during our recent trip to Albuquerque. The pool, porch, and view made this house the perfect spot for our two families. We spent every afternoon and evening there outside. The only issue we had was difficulty regulating the shower temperature in one of the bathrooms, but since we had three to pick from it wasn’t that big of an issue. We notified the owner who promptly informed us they would work on it. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Albuquerque.

Large, peaceful rental in Albuquerque

The house worked out well for our large family that had traveled to Albuquerque for our daughter’s college graduation. The house was well stocked. The kitchen was the best equipped kitchen that I’ve ever had at a VRBO. It was really nice not to have to buy any “extras” that I’ve had to buy at other rental houses like: shampoo/conditioner, paper towels, garbage bags, dish/dishwasher soap and spices. The neighborhood felt safe and the neighbors were quiet. The location was beautiful as it backed up to open space that overlooked the mountain range. The patio was a wonderful space to gather. I took off one star from my review since the pool pump/filter wasn’t working during our stay so the pool was unusable. The owner did send out his maintenance guy but unfortunately the pool wasn’t fixed during our stay. Communication was great with the owners. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at the house.

Amazing Easter Weekend

I was able to rent this property for a last minute family get together for Easter Weekend. We are all native New Mexicans from all corners of the state, so we tried something new and decided to meet in the city. This house truly can accommodate a ton of people comfortably. Everything on the listing is as described. Communication with David and his on-site property manager was simple and easy. However, we didn't require anything from them during our stay, as we came prepared. Again, good listing. I wish I could be free-spirited enough to just "wing it," on my travels, but I simply can't. I research EVERYTHING to the nth degree. This trip was no different. This property beat out a couple other nice contenders nearby, simply because I did not have to ask any questions, like "do you have a grill?", or "Is the pool open?" Read the listing. It's all there. There's tons of information to be garnered by just reading actual reviews, like this one. Me? I read them all. And I can attest that Piru Manors (the overall manager of this property, whom lists it here on VRBO) has addressed nearly all previous discrepancies. The grandkids enjoyed the pool immensely. Very clean. The adults enjoyed the hot tub even more! The neighborhood is nice and quiet, a rarity for Albuquerque anymore. I have 2 particular facts to share, not as a critique at all, but merely a point of fact. These particular things do not matter to me at all, but they may to other travelers. 1) This large home has truly been converted into a rental property. It is evident a homeowner probably does not live here part time or anything. I happen to own a resort which rents several cabins and a campground, so I know what it takes. You will notice things like tons of beds everywhere. They use a rather clever idea of building a frame off the ground with simple lumber, but place a nice Tempur-Pedic on top of it, and use high quality bedding. Very comfortable. Many tables and countertops are homemade, but craftsmanship is just fine. If this bothers you, don't rent the place then complain about it. 2) The price is the price. It is at my resort and it is at this place. I've had vacation rentals who are rather lax and I've had the professionals, like these guys. I unexpectedly had an extra dog, and probably could have snuck it by, but I mentioned it and had to pay the fee. I added an extra night and paid full price. No surprises. This is a clean, comfortable, fun rental

Excellent place to stay

We brought down a high school Senior class for their Senior Sneak to tour and do fun things around the Albuquerque and Santa Fe area and stayed at this beautiful home. It had everything we needed plus more and the owner was very easy to get ahold of and great to get along with. Would stay there again if I was in the area with a big group of people.

Stayed with friends from highschool and had a great time

We had a problem with the garbage disposal , but that was fixed within a couple of hours. We all had a very nice time at the house and the beds were comfortable. Laundry room and the top of the fridge could use a good cleaning. House just needs a few things attended to. But overall we had a great time visiting Albuquerque.

We loved our stay in Alb! The house was comfortable and spacious- while we didn't swim in the pool due to the cooler temps, the hot tub was a wonderful treat. We had lots of space to lounge in and David was easy to get in touch with before, during and after the stay. Would happily stay again!

Beautiful view

This property has a stunning view and nice hiking trails within walking distance. Although there are a lot of beds, the layout is probably best for 3 families, since two of the 5 bedrooms have only twin beds and are kind of small for adults. The photos showcase the property beautifully, but the reality is a little worn. None-the-less, we had a lovely reunion with old friends and enjoyed the large dining area and outdoor space tremendously.

Christmas 2021

It was a little darker inside than what the photos showed. There was plenty of space which was good for children. The pool and hot tub were utilized and a lot of fun. the outdoor games, bean bag toss and jenga were also a lot of fun. The air hockey game was fun but the legs were quite unstable ( our son in law who lives in Albuquerque, actually helped tighten them, making it safer). All in all it proved to be a good space for us to celebrate Christmas as a family.

Too much money for any night

Foosball game didn't work nor did the slot machine. Ping pong game had no net. Heater controls suck in the house. Hard to know which of the some seven thermostats work or not. No basic (starter) fire wood for the wood fireplace and fire pit outside upon arrival. Gotta go find some before you get there. Owner tries to nickel and dime you; requesting check-in an hour or two early you have to pay $150 for (supposedly) an extra cleaner to get the place ready for our arrival, when their website clearly states that they leave the house vacant for 24 hours between reservations due to Covid. Then the owner tries to charge $75/day to have a heated pool in October, when the details online clearly states that a heated pool was part of the rental price during that time of year. The home is disjointed but probably great for large kid parties. The quality of the home is not great. Fortunately, we had a bunch of guys without their wives, so it was aoet of acceptable. The jacuzzi is hot but had no chlorine tablets to help keep the water clean. The larger shower with two shower heads in the master bedroom sprays water everywhere including the toilet area, and it has a clogged drain that takes forever to drain the water out. It is a relatively private area and that was a huge plus with no other renters around next door thankfully. And don't count on being able to use the garage in the rain, since it is all locked up. If you don't mind stacked bunk beds that the distance between bunks that fits a childs height well. Don't plan on easily getting out of a bunk since they stacked them tight if you are a normal size adult. The trash cans outside were already full when we arrived. The WiFi is slow when doing computer work and the TV is on. The pool was clean and relatively warm, but you'll get cold fast when the wind picks up. Frankly, for what we paid, we all expected a little higher quality with the accomodations.
