Our gorgeous studio in the sky overlooks the Indian ocean and is right in the heart of South Fremantle's cafes and restaurants, just minutes from the centre of Fremantle. It has its own private balcony and secluded bbq area underneath for your enjoyment.
The studio is opposite the Fremantle Sailing Club and popular Dog and South Beaches and is ideal for couples and individuals.
There are fabulous sunsets and sea views from the private balcony overlooking the Fremantle Sailing Club and out to the Indian Ocean.
The studio overlooks a frangipani-filled garden and is very secure and private. It sits perched on steel stilts at the rear of the heritage fisherman's cottage in the front of the property. It is very separate and very private. The back garden is surrounded by high stone walls and there is a private lockable access through an old large barn gate at the rear of the property, or you can come and go as you please through the side entrance to the front.
It contains a very comfortable high quality queen size bed with a dining table and kitchenette with bar fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is good quality linen and towels, crockery and cutlery. The bathroom/toilet is separate and has a great shower! The studio has reversible air conditioning for cooling and heating.
It is the perfect position to explore historic Fremantle and South Fremantle. Just 50m to South Beach & Fremantle Sailing Club. 50m to popular South Terrace restaurants and cafes. The local 532 bus in South Terrace behind takes you into Fremantle and all the historic sites plus the famous Cappucino strip. And you can easily walk from there to the popular Fisherman's Harbour with Little Creatures brewery and the Boat House Restaurant on the edge of Bathers Beach, and the famous Cicerellos and Kailis fish and chips restaurants on the water; or to the Port and the fabulous Gage Roads brewery overlooking the ships coming into berth.
Our studio is very affordable and is in such a great position - you can walk everywhere! There are lovely local restaurants around the corner in South Terrace, including Italian, bistro, pizza bars, Thai, Indian and Mexican. Also a great range of local speciality shops, cafes, two boutique bakers, and gift and clothing shops within a very short stroll from the house.
There is a walkway and bikepath across the road as well for lovely morning and evening strolls or bike rides. South Beach has a lovely café overlooking the water.

Fremantle is recognised as the best preserved 19th century sea port in the world. More than 150 buildings in the port are classified by the National Trust, These include the Round House which was built in 1831 & is the oldest public building in W.A, the Esplanade Hotel which was built in 1890s and the Fremantle Prison which was built by convict labour in the 1850s.
Fremantle was establlished in 1829 as a port for the fledgling Swan River Colony and was the major city in Western Australia for much of its early history. Fremantle became a city in its own right in 1929, and survived the building demolitions of the 1890s and the 1960s. The city emerged in 1987 when it was the host city for the Americas Cup sailing challenge as a city rich in heritage and character.
“Freo” as it is also know to the locals, is home to a 500-strong fishing fleet and a vast number of yachts and pleasure craft. Two significant historical replica ships were built here: The HMS Endeavour and the Duyfken which was the first Dutch vessel to chart the Australian coastline in 1666.
The port city of Fremantle is located at the mouth of the Swan River on the West Coast of Western Australia and is part of the Perth metropolitan area. Perth city is only 20 kms away which is a 30 minute cab ride or trip by train from Fremantle station.

The Round House
The Round House was built in 1831 as a prison and is the State's oldest building.Guided tours available. Overlooks Bather's Beach with fabulous views.
Fremantle Prison
Constructed from limestone by convicts in the mid 1800s, this building was a maximum security prison until 1991. Tours available of the cells and hanging area/spooky night tours and underground tunnel tours.
The Fremantle Arts Centre
This magnificent neo-gothic building was constructed by convicts in the 1860s to serve as the colonys first mental asylum.Gorgeous grounds, cafe and lots of great exhibitions inside.
Monument Hill
A memorial reserve that is a National Trust listed War Memorial. It has magnificent ocean views and is just a short stroll from central Fremantle.
Fishing Boat Harbour
This is a working fishing boat harbour featuring great fish restaurants on the waterfront overlooking the boats. Also home to the famous Little Creatures brewery where you can get a locally brewed beer and great food while looking out over the harbour. Boat rides available for the adventurous with speed boating and parasailing all departing from the Harbour. Also home to the famous Cicerello's fish and chip restaurant and the Kailis family fish and chips and seafood restaurant.
