The property was clean and cozy, the reverse cycle heating was on when we got there, it was warm and welcoming thank you. A very quiet place, privacy, peaceful and wonderful views.
Anne's cottage was just as described. It had beautiful views and was very relaxing. The location, as described, is quite far from anything so one needs to ensure you've got everything. We would definitely return.
This beautiful cottage overlooking Maria Island and the coastal town of Orford is the perfect retreat for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The setting is incredibly quiet, allowing you to unwind and soak in the breathtaking views. Well-appointed and thoughtfully designed, the cottage has everything you need for a comfortable getaway. Whether you're enjoying a morning coffee on the deck or simply relaxing indoors, the serene atmosphere makes it an ideal place to recharge. Highly recommended for those seeking a tranquil escape! This was our second time staying here.

Room with a view
Faboulous location and outlook is as memtioned in the prospectus. Well equipped kitchen allowed us to cook our own meals. No wifi but location means not really missed. Double key lock to enter the problem a bit of a hastle. We are used to sleeping with the windows open. Not being able too open the windows was a major negatve for us.

Great views but
Web site shows a great house on a hill.
What is missing is that you drive up a dirt road for 3 km then have to open a lock box then open a cattle gate the close gate behind and return key to lock box.
Then 1 km drive along a bush track to get to the house .
Yes l will say great views but the next morning it was 5 degrees and the A/C did not work. Followed owners instructions and messaged caretaker but after waiting an hour and no response from caretaker l contacted owner who is 3 time zones away. A/C fixed next day and made do with open fire till then. As an apology to no A/C owner gave an extra hour on the check out time.
Last night at cottage power went out and woke up to see the towns from the veranda had power but we had none. This means we could not make breakfast or flush toilet as the house run off tank water and the pump is electric. So we packed and left early after advising owner of the issues .Also the shower runs off the same pump which provides only a trickle which is hot one minute then cold. You need to get a bigger pump!
I wish prior reviews had been more detailed on the feedback and not just focused on how great the views are.
Will not be returning to this cottage.
Outstanding view from the deck a full180° from Triabunna out to Maria Island and more. Peace , the sounds of nature and pademelons visiting. Topped off our 3 night stay with the open fire to keep us company. Host supplies exceeded expectations. Thanks for the memories.
Annie’s cottage has the perfect blend of simplicity and comfort, it’s you own little sanctuary for the period of your stay and then you don’t want to leave. The view is incredible, especially at sunrise and sunset. It’s a magic place that we will visit again. (This was our second stay). Annie was great to communicate prior to our stay.
The location of this cottage is extraordinary… the views from morning to night are truly amazing. The cottage itself is a little rustic, but comfortable. Being winter we certainly needed the fireplace which performed admirably. A couple of things to note … a rug on the slate floor in the lounge would have been nice. The reverse-cycle air conditioner didn’t heat very well, and you have to beware of the circular staircase just inside the front door - we had to drape a blanket over part of it to avoid hitting our heads upon entering the cottage. Overall, it was a very nice stay.
Nothing prepares you for that first view as you arrive at the cottage. Right out over bush to Maria Island. Gobsmacking. Days were spent just taking the view in from every angle. Soaking up the sun on the deck. Nights in front of an open fire. Great view from the shower too. The cottage is clean and comfortable. The only down side for us was that the sheets on the bed were poly cotton.
The view is fantastic. Maria Island, the bay. You could be in the middle of nowhere, not 5k's from town. This is a place to bring your own supplies and settle in for a few days. Everything you need is there and the wide expanse of the glass French doors lets you soak it all in. Wallabies bound by at dawn and dusk. Just relax, cook, eat, have a glass of wine, read that book you've been meaning to and relax. Recommended.
Great little cottage with expansive coastal views, partially restored with natural stone and revitalized old timbers predominant. Will be lovely when/if finished in this style. Well equipped and nicely appointed. Large open fire a blessing. Very private and the wallabies were unafraid to wander. Road on property needs a little attention for low slung vehicles. Blue tooth speaker great. A smart tv would be useful, but who wants wo watch tv there?

A great stay very private and quiet . Inside the cottage was very comfortable and everything we need
Great place for two very easy to relax and soak in the vista . Would highly recommend .
Only one concern the stairs going to the loft protrude out at head height and could and did cause a knock on the head quite easily .
But overall had a great stay and felt very at home .
Wow, that view! Perfect place to chill out and totally relax. Loved it.
Received detailed instructions for entry to the property, well in advance. No issues at all. Communication was great. Had the opportunity to light the open night one chilly night making the cosy cottage very snug and delightful.
The access to property wasn’t great, gravely, and it wasn’t easy to walk around the property either.
Fabulous views of Maria island, loved the wild life that surrounded us at dawn and dusk as well as the peace and tranquillity.
The property was clean and tidy.
