The Rockpool Resort Complex

The Rockpool is an architect designed townhouse development located at South Avoca Beach NSW approx 1 hour via F3 from Sydney.

It has 3 storeys with main living accomodation (light, bright and airy) on the upper level and ample bedroom and bathroom accomodation on the lower levels.

The balcony offers superb outdoor living with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, laid back banana chairs and a barbeque for entertaining.

There are 5 bedrooms in all - 4 x Queen Bed and 1 x 3 single bed kids room. Master bedroom has ensuite and 2 other bathrooms on each of the lower floors.

Full kitchen cooking facilities and entertaining facilities are offered.

The property is disability friendly incorporating a disability stair-lift from garage to top floor and between all floors.

An exclusive grass courtyard runs along the side of the building that can be used to play boules or other games.

Parking is available for up to 3 vehicles at rear of bulding and additional visitors carpark within the complex.

Foxtel, stereo, video, wifi and a selection of videos and DVDs is available. Air-conditioned.

Big family holiday

In some aspects, the photos/description of this listing dont do it justice. I was a little hesitant with 5 kids and and old dog as to how this was going to work out. I was also unsure of location. What we got was 7 humans and happy canine after a week of Avoca bliss. Every kid and teen had their own bedroom and aircon (note that there is no aircon in lowest level-room with three single beds and queen room backing onto yard) but we made-do by buying fans. Your upper level (kitchen/dining/lounge/outdoor balcony) provided everything we needed as well as the views and sounds of the ocean. Surf club and cafes are literally across the street. The main drag with other shops and restaurants is a 5 minute walk. Kids had freedom and security to come and go as they pleased. Two huge bathrooms and laundry are most practical. Quiet street and neighbours. This property provided a most needed beach respite and would happily recommend.

Great location. Great for a big group, but let down by lack of cleanliness.

Great location - short walk to the beach. Nice view. Lots of space for a big group. We were 7 adults and two children. With 5 bedrooms the accomodation for a big group works well. Unfortunately the place was very dirty. Floors hadn't been vacuumed/swept. Kitchen counters dirty. Pillows yellow, stained, and in in some cases mouldy. Drawers and cupboards had a lot of junk in them. Serious mould on some window sills and on the air con vents. All the blinds are dirty with mould on the top of them. Windows all dirty. The place needs a major clean. Dishwasher only partly worked. Nothing on the top rack got clean. Bad smell from the kitchen sink. Bathtub unusable as the spout is blocked and only a fine spay of water comes out. We would have liked to use it for the two young children.

Beautiful place

This property is a beautiful place with lovely views of the beach. It is really well set out with all the living on the top level with bedroom below. I organised a bucks there for 11 guys and we all had an excellent time. It’s a lovely space with great views and plenty of space. Would recommend.
