THINGS TO DO DURING THE DAY.....

Bird watchers will love this area as we have many different bird species on the farm including the famous Splendid Wrens, whistlers, thornbills, spinebills, fantails and also a large group of Red Tail Black Cockatoos.

There are fantastic walking and riding tracks everywhere in the forest close to us. If you are keen you can ride to the Arklow Trails north of Collie or south to the newly upgraded Wellington Dam trail network.

We have created three walking trails from the farm. They are well sign posted and include the historic spur line to the old mill.

You can walk to the historic Worsley Church "St Davids" to check out the history of the founding fathers of the Worsley region. Water skiing is permitted on nearby Stockton lake. You can kayak on Wellington dam and enjoy a coffee at the Wellington dam Kiosk (licensed). The new dam mural is fantastic and is a sight to behold.

We are just a 20 minute drive from the Ferguson valley through Honeymoon Pool wall and about the same from Harvey and 10-15 mins to Collie. All areas have interesting things to do on your break. For reference, The Outcamp is on the Mundabiddi map 3b on the Dwellingup leg, approx 5 kms past the Collie loop turnoff. (Worsley Back Road - Gastaldo Road intersection closest corner)

Walk down to Dodge dam at dusk and relax with a glass of wine. Feed the horses. Watch the cattle and sheep graze in the paddocks.
Children can help collect the eggs and when possible, have a brush of my pony if I’m not busy. There are goats and lambs in season as well.

Collie region has:
A newly created mural trail by local and international artists
newly opened Lake Kepwari camping and adventure area
Black Diamond Lake
World recognised cross country bike tracks "Wambenger " trails.
Links with Bibbulman Walking Track
Fantastic Visitors Centre and new Art Gallery.
Newly furnished swimming complex
Central Park with interactive kids playground
Fantastic bike shop
Golf club

Beautiful hidden gem
I highly recommend this place. Whilst the hosts said it was simple and basic I found it exceeded my expectations. Spotlessly clean with all the amenities you would want. It is very peaceful and scenic with animals around which made it even more special. Very affordable as well.

Great overnight stay
It was a lovely stay at the end of our camping trip, the kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed a nice warm shower and firepit to roast some marshmallows. Our son (3) particularly enjoyed saying hello to lots of cute animals.

Basic but cosy, and very welcoming host
Our group of six enjoyed a three-night stay on the farm over the Labour Day long weekend: so peaceful. The property is surrounded by scenic countryside with some great places nearby to explore; we went bushwalking, paddling and swimming. We spent every single evening on the farm, cooking, chatting, laughing, playing games, just enjoying the serenity of the place. Add to this Dale is fantastic host.

Amazing host
We had a very good getaway from the busy life for one night at CVO. The place is very peaceful and tranquil. Also very good for children as they get to see and feel some farm animals. It's complete with things that are necessary and we think it is worth our time and money.

Beautiful farm with beautiful owners
Dale and Ken couldn't have done more to make our family feel welcome. Their welcoming generosity and their patience with the kids especially was like no other. The kids were delighted to be able to join in a little with Dale's activities and now want to be farmers themselves. Being at your farm in particular, Dale and Ken, made our bush get away into an unforgettable farm experience that we certainly didn't expect. Thank you.

A breath of fresh air.
A great base from which to explore the surrounds. Quiet and secluded, don't expect the Hilton and you will not be disappointed. Pack warm gear for the evening and sleeping. The camp is as described on the website and the water was hot. Dale is a great host, only too happy to respond to enquiries re directions etc. If you are inclined to get off the beaten track I thoroughly recommend Crystal Valley Outcamp. Thanks guys.

Just 2 ladies having a Thelma and Louise trip (without Brad Pitt)!
As specified and met our needs for a couple of nights away. Nice and quiet which suited us both. Appreciated the heads up from Dale re the power cut (Western Power's decision) as that could have been a nasty surprise. The write up by Dale re the property and locality is very well done.

Great Break Away
We loved having a few days away at the Crystal Valley Outcamp. The communication with the host was excellent and they were very accommodating. The house itself was simple but beautiful and had everything you could need. The property was surrounded by scenic countryside with some great places nearby to explore. Thank you so much.

Cosy little place on a beautiful property.
Very pleasantly surprised. It's basic, but has everything you need and is cosy too. Would be a great option for taking the kids for a weekends camping trip but with the luxuries of a hot shower, toilet and full kitchen, with lots of animals for the kids too. A simple break away from it all. Or if you're doing the Munda Biddi trail. Dale is lovely too.

Fantastic farm getaway for an active weekend in Collie
The outcamp suited our needs for a weekend spent doing a relay race around Collie. It was cosy and comfortable with everything we needed. We didn't get the opportunity to use the lovely out door area or fire but it was lovely to wake up to the horses and cows and chickens. Dale was a fabulous host

Charming & Unique
I enjoyed my two night stay. I was mainly pleased with the economy of staying close to Collie as a stopover on a further journey to Margaret River. Dale and family were very welcoming & also Henrietta (the chicken) who visited often. Such a clever hen climbing over the coop fence, pottering around and having a sticky beak inside the front door. So cute!

Rural retreat
Set in rural area with nice walks on the property. Location is central to a choice of things to do - visit Bunbury, Australind on the coast. Wineries - we did Harris River Estate in Collie & St Aiden’s for lunches. Visit Gnomesville for a fun activity. The accommodation was good- as described it was fairly basic but had all the comforts we needed for a very reasonable charge. Sheltered, pretty patio to sit out & enjoy the birdlife, farm animals & picturesque sunsets (we don’t do sunrises!) Thanks Dale for an enjoyable break & chance to recharge Sherry & Tony

This accommodation was exactly as listed. If you want deluxe sleeping arrangements this is not for you. If you want to escape the hustle of life and enjoy the simple pleasures, money cannot buy, this is the perfect place! Crystal Valley Outcamp delivers like a hug for the soul that I will long remember, and frankly, didn't see coming. We will be back.
