About this property

Peaceful Home with a View

Whether you want a central base to explore from or a relaxing country getaway, Tanglewood Cottage is ideal for a memorable holiday. There are amazing views right from the deck and garden, both set in native green spaces.

The house has everything you need for a romantic getaway or a friendly get together. Recently renovated (updated images to come) with new furniture and fittings. The lighting has been redesigned so every room and every corner can be adjusted to suit your needs, romantic, functional or for work.

The kitchen has all new equipment to make cooking a feast a pleasure. There are also 3 outdoor cooking options with 2 BBQs and the fire pit.

Accommodating up to eight people, Tanglewood Cottage features three bedrooms (all with BIR) with a total of two queen beds, 1 single bed with a trundle, and a queen/single bunk bed. A Port-a-cot is also available. All linen as well as blankets, pillows, doonas, towels are supplied.

A luxurious double spa bath is a treat after a busy day exploring the Grampians.

A lovely living area is furnished with an entertainment centre packed with DVDs and games for all ages.

A slow combustion wood heater, with fire food supplied, and reverse cycle air conditioner ensure that guests are comfortable no matter the weather.

Laundry and parking facilities are also available.

Flexible check-in/check-out times may be arranged by prior arrangement.

Comfortable home
Our family really enjoyed our stay at Tanglewood. The house is modest but extremely cosy and comfortable. We enjoyed the bush land setting and the local wildlife. Highly recommend this property.

October stay
The property presented as described and was easy to access. We enjoyed our stay. The only negative was that the mattresses were hard and disrupted sleep, despite putting a blanket between the mattress and sheet.

Relax and Enjoy
Communication with Bruce was excellent. Whilst the property was older, everything worked and was presented in a clean and organized manner. Loved that we had a fire pit and indoor fire and that there were matches, kindling, wood etc. made available for the indoor fire and plenty of places to buy wood for fire pit. We BBQed on the outdoor deck for most of our stay. Nothing better than a coffee and bacon and eggs on the deck for breakfast. Neighborhood was quiet and in a beautiful bush setting. Relax and enjoy.

Lovely little haven
Really enjoyed my stay at Tanglewood. The property was really lovely, clean and warm. My dog also enjoyed her stay and to see beautiful wildlife right outside the door was just lovely. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Tanglewood. It had everything we needed. The indoor fire was definitely a treat at night for the warmth and the kids loved the outisde camp fire cooking marshmallow’s. We would definitely stay again. Thankyou very much.

Winter getaway at Tanglewood
Nice property, good location the wood fire was great!. The outdoor fire pit was also a good option to enjoy the outdoors even on the coldest day. We took our own firewood and had a roaring fire going in no time. The access for elderly, less mobile visitors could be a problem for some. Overall a great weekend.

Grampians getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Halls Gap, was fantastic we could take our dogs with us too. Made the whole experience so much better having them there with us. House was cosy and was what we needed. The spa was fantastic. The Grampians is a beautiful place to visit. Will be back again as we loved it so much.

Quiet end of Halls Gap
We loved that it was an easy walking distance to the information centre and cafe. Accommodation had everything we needed. The only thing I found annoying was the watered down dish washing liquid and it didn’t last us the week. Bring your own if staying more than a few nights.

Perfect base for our weekend in Halls Gap this comfortable and well located property is a short walk into town and very close to the walks starting from the Brambuk Centre. Excellent communication from property owner made check in and check out a breeze.

Lovely mid week stay
Great location, great house Fireplace did not draw very well so we had a few issues with not being able to have a fire on a chilly winter night, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, it was a lovely stay!

Pretty good home in great location
Couldn’t have asked for a better location to start some bike rides and nice and quiet yet still really close to the Halls gap township (1-2 kms) Problems were beds uncomfortable and a few things not in good repair. Also the cleaning wasn’t that great But overall it was excellent facilities wise. Kids loved the spa after a long walk. We used the fire each night and the fire pit outside once. Plenty of wood provided for both. Matt

Comfy and close to town
This stay away was the first we've managed to arrange with interstate family since covid hit, and it was so wonderful and relaxing to finally get away. The cabin was the perfect size for the 6 of us and everything was clean and tidy. The property doesn't look like much from the driveway but makes up for that with a good-sized deck where you can interact with the local bird wildlife. Out the back, the fire pit was perfect for roasting marshmallows and playing charades. The rooms were cozy and the beds comfy, and with the choice of an indoor fire or reverse-cycle air-con/heater, we were perfectly comfortable and at home...even the ones of us that had travelled from hot and humid QLD.
