Upon arrival, my boyfriend and I struggled to enter the property as the screen door was stuck. We also found a spare key under the door mat which we did not like and proceeded to take it inside. Once finally entering the property, it looked as the photos detailed. Unfortunately when using the kitchenware everything was greasy and poorly cleaned. When sitting on the couch, we noticed white fur on our clothing. The floor and carpet had what looked to be white cat hair all over. As a place which stated no pets allowed, we were very unhappy about this. We even noticed hair on the red mat that sat on the dinning table. I proceeded to use the vacuum provided in the laundry, but as soon as I turned it on it began sparking. I turned the vacuum off and was unable to clean the space.
The posting ad says there was Wi-Fi but for the 1st 24 hours of our stay we had no Wi-Fi and the Wi-Fi network didn't exist and the password was incorrect. Due to the public holiday, we had no assistance until the following day. On our 2nd day the property manager was helpful in resolving the problem as the owner had changed Wi-Fi and not update the information provide in the information pack and emails. This was very inconvenient as we were trying to work for the first half of the day and I had to hotspot both of us. Noting the sparking vacuum, the property manager took it with them.
After covering the couch with a blanket, washing all kitchenware before prior use and wearing slippers due to the dirty floor, we found all of these circumstances quite uncomforting.
That day we went out and upon arriving back at the property, the key got stuck in the entrance door. We tried to wiggle it free, but it was very stuck. While the surrounding town is fairly safe, we did not feel safe sleeping in the apartment. We were also unable to lock the screen door as no key was provided and the key stuck out too far.
The next morning we messaged the property manager, but being Sunday we received no response. The next day, which was our check out day, I called the property manager in the morning and they swiftly sent out someone to remove the key as we were needing to return it.
Overall the property and location are good but the lack of cleanliness, lack of Wi-Fi, delay of services, and security issues made this stay very unpleasant
