Contemporary, spacious, luxurious, romantic, self-contained vineyard accommodation for a couple nestled at the heart of the Peninsula's glorious rural hinterland. In serene and select seclusion the Hideaway slumbers under shady trees with a peaceful orchard vista overlooking vineyards. It nestles in the centre of the 25 acre Dunn's Creek Estate reached via a meandering country lane.
Huge living / dining area with a wall of windows noverlooking a laden citrus orchard. The Hideaway is tree-shaded and further cooled in summer by ceiling fans and air conditioning and kept cosy in winter with a gas log fire and heated bathroom floor. Adjoining this area is a large, fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher and featuring European appliances.
The large separate bedroom with Queen-sized bed has a 26" LCD wall-mounted TV and DVD player plus ceiling fan and a separate dressing room. The bed has an electric blanket with separate controls; the sheets are Egyptian cotton with a high thread count and are line dried.
The en-suite bathroom is huge with a walk-through shower and air-spa bath for two persons. Fluffy gowns and bath sheets complete the luxury.
Outside is a delightful undercover, shaded, private al fresco dining area with twin lounges and Webber BBQ.
Rather than just believe what we tell you about our unique B&B why not open the pdf file on our website and read what an independent assessment found about our property when they visited, unannounced and unsolicited, in August last year and ranked us number one of 60 B&Bs visited across the whole State. She gave us the ONLY ranking of 100% in all categories so what else can we do for you? The pdf contains her handwritten notes, comments and descriptions but we should add that she was only paid by Tourism Victoria for one night but elected to pay for and stay an extra two nights - her actions should say more even than the impressive write-up we received.
You will feel miles away from your usual fast-paced life. Perfect peace, total tranquility:
- ringing phones become bird chirps
- mobile phones also take a break and only work outside the Hideaway but wifi is available
- rushing to work through busy city streets becomes a meander through rows of vines and fruit trees and an ambling wetland walk.
- the only engagement you have in your diary is to enjoy a unique experience with your partner.
On arrival you will find:
- A bowl of fresh fruit
- Ingredients for a generous continental breakfast for each day of your stay. Includes fresh bread, cereal, gourmet jams, plunger coffee, 'Nespresso' coffee machine, selection of teas, milk and fruit juice.
- ability to enlarge these ingredients at your wish as there is a fully equipped kitchen and dishwasher.
You can choose to do nothing but relax in the double spa bath. Sit back in your fluffy dressing gowns and watch your favourite DVD/video or choose one from our selection on either of the two flat screens (either recumbent in the Queen bed or curled on the comfortable couch in front of the gaslog fire). Alternatively be as active or adventurous as you want with the many varied activities available on the Peninsula.
At the end of the day you're probably getting hungry so either cook your own gourmet meal (perhaps with produce from Cellar and Pantry in Red Hill) in Limetree Hideaway's fully equipped kitchen or out on the BBQ and enjoy the tranquility of the farm.
After the sun sets take the rug supplied and a bottle of estate wine available for purchase (at a discount) in your unit and find a nice secluded spot amongst the vines to lie back under the Southern Cross and take in the stars (subject to weather) - we have five times the number you will see in the city.
If you're too relaxed to cook, head out to one of the many local restaurants using Roger and Hannah's Restaurant Guide, in your handbook. Why not ring 'Your Shuttle' and get Chris Gregory to organize wine tours and transport to / from restaurants with advance notice - it is important to book in advance - then you need not stint on our local wines with your dinner.
What ever you have in mind, just ask. With over 30 years of living on the Mornington Peninsula, Hannah and Roger have experienced it all and are only too happy to provide suggestions and advice.
All this, less than an hour's drive from Melbourne.
If there is something special that you'd like to surprise your partner with, just ask us. We can organise sparkling wine on ice for arrival, boxed chocolates and even freshly cut red roses. If you're visiting us for a special occasion, we're committed to helping you add every final touch to your special day.
Many proposals have been made, and accepted, at Limetree and several brides have made our Hideaway their choice for the wedding night. Grooms have organised elaborate scenarios to 'pop the question' with Roger and Hannah's help and we have a 100% acceptance.
