Beautiful, unique 1500 SQ FT apartment in the heart of Hyde Park. Neighborhood is comprised of homes and mansions built by lumber barons and industrialists in the early 1900's. This 108 year old space provides comfort and necessities in a convenient location to everything. The Plaza, Crown Center, Downtown all within 5 to 10 minutes away. Large living room with hardwoods, fireplace, and even a grand piano. 55" smart TV with Youtube TV, Amazon Prime, and Netflix. Free WiFi. Fully stocked galley kitchen. Granite counter-tops with gas stove/oven. Enjoy coffee made from the Keurig or brewed. There is a washer and dryer inside the apartment for your convenience. Large master bedroom with king size sleigh bed, wardrobe, quality mattress, and 50" Smart TV with Youtube TV. Second bedroom has new queen size bed, smart TV, and nice sized closet. The apartment features a brand new bathroom with walk in shower. Private keypad entrance, and ample parking on quiet street in front of home. Easy access to interstate system for travel to Arrowhead/Royals Stadiums. Completely furnished, a delightful apartment in a quiet, safe, historic residential neighborhood. Whether you are traveling alone, as a couple, or up to three persons, this is your home away from home.

*TWO DAYS required BETWEEN bookings to allow for deep cleaning.

*Ample parking directly in front of home on quiet street.

*Check in time anytime after 4:00 pm, check out by 11 am. Most guests prefer to let themselves in using the keypad system, however, we can be available upon request and am always available via text message or phone call should questions arise. We occupy the main house and are usually always on property.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The place was elegant and comfortable. The host, Bill, was very accommodating and friendly, I even had a bottle of wine welcoming us to KC waiting, nice touch!! I highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Place!

This spacious 3rd floor apartment was a great choice for us while visiting KC! The central location to The Plaza, Westport, and Downtown, is perfect! Our host Bill went above and beyond to welcome us, and all the amenities were top notch! We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay ! When visiting KC, this is where we will choose to stay again!

Great apartment in Hyde Park!

This was a wonderful place to stay for our visit to KC! It was beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and it's in an historic neighborhood which was fun to explore on foot. The apartment was lovely and felt private and exclusive. Bill, the owner was helpful and welcoming! We will stay here again on a future visit.

We had a wonderful stay in KC at Bill's house on a Friday/Saturday stayover... this third floor apt was beyond comfortable, well stocked with everything you could need and more! The pictures live up to the reality - most definitely highly recommended!!

It's a beautiful apartment. Very cozy and welcoming. Bill Wolfe did a great job communicating with us throughout the entire stay. The location was perfect for restaurants, shopping and for going to the game. We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful birthday trip

My daughter and I came to KCMO for my birthday weekend to visit my son, as well as to let her attend her first concert. We booked the property since it was close to the venue to make getting a Lyft easier. It was a wonderful place to stay, and especially for me, to just relax and enjoy the ambiance after working 70+ hour weeks. The beds were amazing (my daughter said it was like sleeping in a cloud), everything was exactly as advertised, and we really enjoyed the historical nature of the apartment and the beauty of the surrounding neighborhood. It was a very hot weekend, and our host checked in about arrival time and had the apartment completely cooled off in time for us to arrive. We travel to the KC area 1-3 times a year, and we will definitely rebook. I highly recommend the host or apartment for anyone who needs a quiet place to relax while in KC.

Fantastic Rental

Wow! That's all I can say. This was one of our top 5 rentals. Took a short weekend away to KC to spend quality time together and see a concert. I would highly recommend this unit. What a lovely quite safe neighborhood! Easy to get everywhere. The apartment was furnished with nice high end furniture and the master bed was so comfortable! I would love to stay here again in the future:)

Amazing host for Kc stay

The property and the neighborhood were perfect for what we like. Old neighborhood with character. Location was perfect for everything we wanted to do in Westport and the Plaza. As great as the Apartment was, Bill the host just blew us away with all the amenities and quality of everything inside. First we were greeted with a personalized sign welcoming my wife and I to Kc, along with a bottle of wine. The beds, bedding, pillows were the best we have experienced at a VRBO. Tvs in all the rooms was nice. TV trays if you wanted to watch tv in the living room and eat which we took advantage of. 2 different coffee makers depending on what you like, coffee bar with all the fixings to go with it, even had to go coffee cups if you needed one on the run. In the bathroom was a nicely redone shower with plenty of room, lighted mirror which my wife really appreciated for doing her makeup, makeup remover wipes, several hand soaps, and the best linens we have ever experienced at a VRBO. We seriously struggled to think of anything that Bill could have provided, or done differently to make this experience any better. When we are back in Kc we will definitely look Bill up again for his spot!!

Better Than Advertised ...

I've stayed at several VRBO locations, particularly in MO, and this one BY FAR, was my favorite! Bill was incredibly accommodating when my flight was rescheduled prior to my arrival causing me to need to stay an extra night. I expected to be out of luck but he made it work. Grateful doesn't begin to describe the feeling. The property listing does it some justice, but it is so much better in person. The apt was clean and spacious with all amenities available. The kitchen was stocked with everything one would need to prepare a meal - sans groceries, of course. The bath towels were soft and fluffy. Shower water pressure was great. TVs in each BR with access to streaming services specific to the 3rd floor apt, and while the king-sized bed was a bit too soft for my personal taste, my husband loved it and we slept well. Having a private entrance and driveway parking were perks you don't realize how much you appreciate until you don't have them. I really struggle with finding complaints about this place. The host, the location, the amenities, the space ... all VERY favorable. I have decided this will be where I stay when I am in MO. I may have to plan my trips around when it is available. 😄

Wonderful all Around.

We couldn't have been more pleased with this rental. First, the site very accurately describes the accommodations. The neighborhood is beautiful, mature and quiet. You will need to drive to find a place to eat if you choose to go out. The place itself is beautifully appointed with antiques and it is perfectly equipped with all that you need. The attention to details are among the many things we appreciated. There was coffee -- even a few to-go cups. There was laundry detergent and all of the staples. The only caveat which is noted on the information, is that one needs to be comfortable going up a few flights of steps. We would stay again.

Perfect host, perfect location!

We visited KC for our annual baseball trip. The host was a gem from the start. Greeting us early so we could drop our luggage, giving us great dining suggestions and covering every detail as a host! The rental is exactly as it appears in the photos. It is clean, comfortable cozy and welcoming. It is in a great location to access various part of KC. After a hot day of walking around the city the cold bottled water in the fridge was a welcomed site! Thank you, Bill!

The location was perfect for me as my daughter lives very nearby. The property was as advertised and very clean. I appreciated the good supply of towels! Bill purchased this 100 year old home in 1988. He has lovingly restored the property floor by floor while living in the home. He is a professional musician, having played most hotel lobby's throughout Kansas City, and continues to work as a studio musician and teacher. Having lived in the Hyde Park neighborhood for 35 years it has been fun to watch the rebirth of the midtown area. As a host my style is friendly and personable. I am happy to try and answer any questions you might have.

Easy access to the apartment with street parking in front of home and near the apartment entrance. Location is close to everything Kansas City has to offer and nestled in a beautiful, quiet, and historic neighborhood.
Plaza or Westport -5 minutes, Downtown-I 35 or I 29-8 minutes. Enjoy a home that is part of Kansas City/Hyde Park history.

The 1500 sq foot apartment is located on the 3rd floor of the home. When originally built, this floor was only opening and used when the owners wished to entertain or host parties. It has been totally renovated, with unique furnishings, private entrance, and provides a very comfortable apartment in a historic neighborhood and home.
