Ok stay
Good size house for a family. Sadly the blinds were very mouldy, fridge stunk of off prawns, cupboards smelt and overall cleanliness was poor, didn’t look like the place had been vacuumed thoroughly for ages. Blow heaters for heating which was poor given the cold weather in winter. Sadly due to the house being in bad condition we won’t be staying here again. Especially disappointed as it wasn’t cheap!

Perfect location and views
We had an amazing week staying in this house. It was perfect for our two families with teenagers. Loved the ample games and books, easy walk to town and beach. We would have been happy to pay a bit extra for the place to be stocked with toilet paper, hand wash, dishwashing liquid, etc. Could also be improved with the installation of wifi. Overall it was great and we hope to be back again soon!

Perfect Autumn Holiday
Spent a week in April and the weather was beautiful. We were able to swim every day. The house is within walking distance of the beach and is definitely the best equipped holiday home we’ve ever rented. There is an awesome view of the beach and we were lucky enough to observe a pod of dolphins on one of the days. The only downfall was the fishing which really needed a boat to be productive.

Awesome family fun
We absolutely loved the property. On arrival we did have to fix light bulbs and the gas lasted 5 minutes into cooking before running out. Very clean and had everything we needed. Location was perfect. I would stay again without hesitation and my family will have beautiful memories so thank you.

Ideal for family groups
The house has two separate living areas and a huge 'bunk' room if you are bringing a tribe of kids. Bathrooms and kitchen are due for an update but have everything you need and are clean and tidy

Surfside Lookout is a home away from home. Nestled amongst the tall trees, the house is well positioned to create a private and secluded escape whilst capturing the tree-lined, 180 degree views of the ocean. Each morning you awake to the warmth of the sun streaming through the living room windows. This 2 storey house, with all the comforts of home, has retained its well lived in beach house appeal. Our young family of two boys loved the many areas used for play including the double story verandas, grassy backyard, upstairs and downstairs family rooms. Surfside Lookout is the perfect choice for an extended family/ large group holiday, as there is plenty of bedding for even the biggest of groups. Each day we would spend mornings on the beach accessed via a short walk down the street and along the side of the bowls club. There are many swimming spots to explore. The surf club and main surf beach is patrolled in peak holiday seasons. There is a wonderful childrens playground, some great headland short walks and fabulous spots for the kids to ride their bikes. If the weather turns or you just want to stay in, then Surfside Lookout has every possible board game and DVD for the whole family to enjoy.Scotts Head is a coastal village of the Nambucca Shire local government area in the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. It is one of those beach villages untouched by commercialism, yet provides locals and holiday makers with the basics including: bakery, butcher (best meat!), chemist, coffee shop, small grocery shop. We organised a Woolworths Online order to be delivered the day we arrived. You will need to organise this in advance, as we found that deliveries are not scheduled every day for Scotts Head.If online grocery ordering is not your thing, then a short 15 min trip to Macksville will offer you all the basic retail outlets for your holiday needs. Whilst in town, lunch at the Star Hotel in Macksville is a Must do. The Hotel veranda boasts views overlooking the water and the menu is quite a treat.Thank you for a holiday that we will remember forever. We look forward to returning.
