Perfect little family getaway!

Our family had the best little vacation at Redfish Village! Condo was clean and just as described. Plenty of room and in the PERFECT location. We will be back! This was by far the best condo we’ve stayed in on vacation.

Large Unit

The unit was very spacious and the perfect size for our family. We found lamps without lightbulbs and no broom to sweep up the sand. There was some mildew or mold in the master bedroom window behind the bed. All those things have been reported to the rental company. It's a great location. We will be back to Redfish Village!

Cloudy with a chance of sunshine

At first it’s great! Until the roaches came out, and there was no broom only dustpans to clean out the sand there is also mold or mildew behind the Master bedroom bed. Comfy stay but the roaches, and mold was a big problem for us.

Perfect Location

This was part of two units we rented for a family get together. The location to the beach, a few restaurants and bars was perfect. I was impressed with the size of this unit and the entire property. I would definitely stay here again.

Short Walk to beautiful Beach, Condo community with Pool and Nature boardwalk

Loved Redfish Village and proximity to beach. Redfish village has fabulous pool with lots of seating, 3 grills, and lawn for bocce ball and other games. Short walk to beach, ice cream shop, donuts, and more. Unfortunately the unit was not clean upon our arrival and the cleaning tasks we had to do when leaving was extensive despite the $250 cleaning fee. We requested a reduction in the fee because we had to clean the unit upon our arrival.

Underwhelming

The property was bereft of rugs and wall hangings and so was extremely loud. The furnishings were spartan, the beds were rock-hard and bedding was institutional and scratchy. The showers were filthy and the drains filled with hair. The kitchen equipment was unreliable and very difficult to control, and the dishes in the cabinets were dirty when we arrived. The pool was great, and the beach access was good. Overall, though, the unit was heavily used, dirty and bordering on worn out. Plan on bringing your own … everything.

Always a great time

This unit, like the others we've previously stayed in at Redfish, was very comfortable and in a great location for hitting the beach or dining out (our two primary activities). We don't use the condo for cooking or anything so I can't speak to the availability of cookware or things like that. We liked that there were bathrooms for each bedroom (being a group of 6 women).

Good property

I enjoyed my stay, however there were a few things that just didn’t go quite right. We were supposed to have an entry code to the garage, which in turn didn’t work. Two-three days into the stay the numbers were updated, so we got to use the spot for a total of 2 days. They say not to track in excess sand, but yet, don’t allow you to keep sandy items outside your door. I understand clutter and making the property look clean, but pick one…. The pictures for this property made it seem like there was direct access to the beach, which there was not. It was close, but pretty busy. The property was clean, the playground and pool areas were great for our family. We enjoyed our stay the best we could with the variable weather. Hoping to come back to the area soon!

Lovely condo! Just needs some TLC.

Lovely condo! The wood floors are beautiful, and we appreciated the big, white table for games and meals. The open floor plan with lots of space is nice for a big family. Overall, we had a good experience here -- the location is great since it's not in the thick of Seaside traffic but is close to the beach and you can easily visit Seaside if you want to -- with just a 12-minute drive. For the cost of staying there, we felt the condo was not fully ready for us on arrival. Some appliances and other aspects of the condo needed maintenance: the dryer squeaked loudly enough to disrupt sleep and watching TV, and dishwasher evoked a loud bang each time it was opened; the kitchen was missing key items, particularly a can opener; and the bathrooms were missing items like soap and shampoo, which were supposed to be included. After we checked out, I emailed the management company, Coastal Dreamin', to share these detailed concerns and a few minimal-cost recommendations for improving the guest experience. Coastal Dreamin's good communication while we stayed in the condo dropped immediately after we left, when they became unresponsive. Hope the management company passes my note along to the owner, who clearly has worked hard to create this vacation home!

Great location

The location was awesome with lots of places nearby to eat, shop and play. Pool on property was clean and never too packed. The ocean was a 7 minute walk down the road, which wasn’t too bad at all (even with a pregnant family member and a toddler). The only issue we had was the AC wasn’t working when we arrived. They addressed the issue promptly but it still didn’t work over the course of the first night and had to come back the next day. That was the most uncomfortable night with the heat and humidity. Also the dryer in the unit doesn’t work that great and is super loud.

Family Vacation

It was great for a family vacation. It was awesome having a swimming pool, playground just nearby and then a 5 minute walk to the beach. We will definitely be back.

Convenience

Very spacious condo. Easy access to everything. Quite area. Having keyless entry to everything is a plus. Private beach access was a big plus. We were kept well informed about our trip through emails. One issue came up concerning access to fitness center. The only other issue was the blender was broken. Returning to this condo is definitely a possibility.

Very modern clean condo. Nice balcony without a view though. Easy 5 min walk to beach. Kitchen could use some more pots/pans etc. -- we cook a lot in while at beach.

Property management issues

We've been coming to the 30a area for 20+ years. We found the property management of this unit at Redfish to be frustrating. If you have any issues, you will have to deal with an often-busy call center that frequently places you on hold only to transfer you to someone at the specific property where you are staying. At one point we were on hold for almost 30 minutes only to be disconnected during the call transfer. Specific issues we encountered with this particular unit: the door code provided did not work; a code for the fitness center was not provided forcing us to track down Redfish management; the fridge would not cool below 60-65 degrees. They did have someone come out to repair the fridge but it stopped working again by end of week. Last point is that the cleaning quality of this unit was very average compared to other places we have stayed in recent months/years and did not leave the feeling that you were staying somewhere well-sanitized, which is an issue during Covid. We did love Redfish Village...the amenities, aesthetics and location were ideal. Will try next time to rent a unit directly from an owner or through a local property management company.
