I was genuinely excited to book our stay after seeing the stunning photos of this property, eagerly counting down the days until check-in. However, upon arriving at the estate, I initially questioned whether we were at the right place—the visuals had set such high expectations.
As we explored the grounds, I appreciated the natural beauty and numerous outdoor spaces ideal for relaxation and discovery, making it a perfect spot for nature enthusiasts. However, our experience took a downturn once we returned to the house.
My daughter quickly noticed cobwebs in several areas, and our attempts to enjoy a game of ping pong were thwarted by a damaged table and broken ball. The foosball table was similarly disappointing; I couldn't even score a goal due to the cobwebs obstructing play. Additionally, one of the main doors near the pizza oven showed signs of neglect, with dead mosquitoes caught in the webs.
Compounding our frustrations was the television setup during our stay, coinciding with the AFL Grand Final. The lack of a modern smart TV, replaced instead by a basic Kogan model, detracted from our enjoyment. I later learned that the internet speed was inadequate for streaming, a detail that would have influenced my decision had I known in advance, especially with two kids in tow.
Lastly, I noticed that the dining table was covered in dirt upon our arrival, which added to the overall sense of neglect. Fortunately, our stay was brief, lasting only two nights.
A great 3 night stay. The retreat is well set up for adults and children alike. Various activities are available for children as well as play equipment for them. A very well maintained property in a quiet location. I would highly recommend Nannup Bush Retreat for a couple or family stay.
We stayed here with friends that were here from the US. They absolutely LOVED it, our kids had so much fun exploring. Its just a really beautiful home and location.
We had the most magical , amazing time staying in this wonderful property . Can’t wait to come back in winter ! It was very hot the week we were staying and we used the swimming hole all day , kids had a ball on the rope swing and jumping off the jetty and we relaxed floating around and paddle boarding all day .House was nice and cool too . Just so quiet and peaceful, felt like we were in a resort but had it all to ourselves… so many wonderful places to sit and take in the serenity- the daybed on the deck the swing chair and the hammock were favs. So comfortable to stay in the house , great beds and couches and fully equipped kitchen not to mention the awesome bbq/ pizza area ! We enjoyed meals on the deck and in bbq area and absolutely loved the outdoor shower - day and night ! Had a daily visit from the resident chicken who we named “Doris “ and she was very friendly and busy and a delight to watch . Couldn’t recommend this property enough , had everything we needed and gave us no reason to leave - we didn’t want to leave !!! We will be back …..
Nannup Bush Retreat was an amazing place. It is such a nice, clean house with so much space to relax in. We loved experiencing the outdoor baths and pizza oven. Thank you for creating such an amazing space! We will definitely be back in the future

Liked: Communication, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in
Loved the uniqueness of experience
Unfortunately when we arrived at the property it had not been cleaned, wet dirty towels left in bathroom, used bed linen on beds, and to make matters worse there was a power outage. Due to no power, there was no water as the water required electricity to pump it from the tanks. The property manager was apologetic and did send a cleaner out but it was difficult to get a thorough clean at 5pm in darkened rooms with no power or water while I was trying to get dinner ready. The power was back on by 8pm but then was off again the next morning for a bit. It is a truly stunning property with such fun experiences with the wood-fired oven and baths but given the price of the stay along with the inconvenience of not being clean on arrival (together with power/water outages), I would have liked to have been offered some kind of part-credit or reimbursement.
What a magical stay! This property is everything you need for a quiet and relaxing weekend away. There's no reason to leave this house for adventure as there is so much exploring to do on the property. What a gem.
Nestled in forest with a beautiful swimming area and swing rope into water hole. Wonderful facilities. Perfect for families needing a break and getting back to nature.
Totally beautiful. Thank you for caring for us so well. Loved not having to bring towels and sheets etc. absolutely everything was there.
Just wish we could have stayed longer.
Our sincere thanks
Beautiful place , had everything we needed. Very relaxing just what we wanted. Would recommend it to others. :)

Beautiful place to stay. The beds were soooo comfy and the kids loved the outdoor games and rope swing! Having the fire going when we got there was lovely and the pizza oven was a great little extra.

Soothing nature all the comforts!
A quick getaway to this gorgeous hideaway was just what we needed to enjoy our “babymoon”. Just wish we could have stayed longer!! The spacious rustic mud clay bungalow oozed country charm, but had the modern luxuries of a dishwasher, coffee machine, heated towel rack, outdoor surround sound and a large pizza oven under the outdoor gazebo/kitchen. Although the tv was connected for satellite viewing there was no time for lounging around. We were too busy swimming in the fresh spring fed dam, playing table tennis, relaxing in the outdoor baths and reading in the hammock on the wide deck that overlooked the tall trees from the houses elevated position. Although it was just the two of us and our dog for this trip, there is plenty of space for a large family or two. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic rustic property
We enjoyed a relaxing winters long weekend here. It was cold and rainy but the wood fire warms the house up perfectly. The bench on the veranda is a great place to sit and listen to music via the outdoor speakers, read and enjoy the view. There are lights set up under the trees around the dam, the switch is in the gazebo

great place to relax
We had a great time at Nannup Bush Retreat. You really did feel like you were in the bush but had all the amenities you needed in the home. Outdoor baths were amazing under the stars and the kids had a great time exploring the area and swimming in the dam.
