Poet's Cottage is a luxurious 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom holiday home in the heart of the upper Blue Mountains. A charming retreat for couples, friends and families.

Built in 1912 and one of the very first cottages in the area, Poet's Cottage is located on the edge of the beautiful Valley of the Waters in historic Wentworth Falls - a 5-minute drive from beautiful Leura Village.

This stylishly restored and extended 112-year-old property offers the best of both worlds - tranquility and quiet away from tourist crowds yet the attractions of Leura and Katoomba are just a quick drive away.

Self-contained, with plenty of pampering comforts, the cottage offers an open-plan lounge and dining area with a freestanding gas log fireplace and a chef's style kitchen. Snuggle up in the three bedrooms with two queen beds, one king single bed and two single beds.

Watch honey-eaters sip flower nectar while relaxing on your entertainment deck, or wander through the large garden before enjoying the beauty of the world heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park, which backs directly onto the property. Then return to the cottage for a pampering spa.

Poet's Cottage is ideal for couples, families, trekkers, nature and bird enthusiasts.

For a romantic, adventurous or family getaway of simple elegance and comfort, spoil yourself and enjoy all the Blue Mountains has to offer.

We have been operating as a holiday rental since 2013 and have been multi-awarding winning across several booking platforms.

Extras:
- We regret that weddings cannot be accommodated
- Guests are refrained from smoking indoors or in the garden due to its proximity to bushland and the World Heritage National Park.
- In Autumn and Winter (May to November) warm outdoor clothing is advisable as temperatures can be up to 10 degrees cooler than Sydney.

Beautiful house, surrounded by an absolutely gorgeous garden. We had a wonderful time in this stunning place. Backs onto bushwalking tracks. Sophie the host was extremely helpful, communication was great. The cottage has everything that you need. We all can’t wait to go back, highly recommend.

A fabulous stay!
A beautiful cosy home. We had a lovely time. Everything as described. Central heating and gas fireplace made for a very comfortable get away in the middle of winter. Great communication by host. We will be back next year hopefully!!

What a gorgeous cottage. A perfect size for 2 couples, well equipped with lovely linen and towels and everything you would need in the kitchen. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and access to a lovely bush walk to Conservation Hut and Emerald Falls. Highly recommend this beautiful cottage.

Such a lovely house with everything you need. Comfy beds, modern kitchen with everything you need, two full bathrooms, and a beautiful back room. So very relaxing sitting on the couch and staring out into the beautiful leafy backyard. Highly recommend it!

Stayed with friends here for a few days and it was perfect …. Clean , comfortable , beautiful home with all you need. We were not far from from the falls , perfect walks through magnificent scenery , great cafes in Wentworth falls . Sophie was only a message away from taking care of any needs.

Perfect home away from home
We (7 adults) spent 3 nights in Wentworth Falls for an annual bushwalking trip, and were delighted with all aspects of the property. It is a beautifully maintained house with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and quality bed and bath linen; handy essential and extra pantry items; an idyllic garden with private outside eating area; walking tracks from the back door, and a 15 minute walk into town and train station. Would definitely return for a family holiday as well as another "glamping" trip!

Loved our stay at Poet's cottage. The cottage was perfect & everything we needed was there. It was exactly the type of accommodation you want in the Blue Mountains. The cottage is set in beautiful gardens next door to the National Park with walking tracks galore right at the back gate. Only negative is the towels could do with replacing, they were very thin & perhaps the TV could be upgraded, it's very small. The first game of the NRL season was on the night we arrived with my husbands team playing. He was disappointed he couldn't see it properly without sitting right in front of it.

All round wonderful!!
The photos of this property are great but when we walked through the front door, we were amazed. Sophia has put so much thought into making this property a home away from home. Everything we needed (plus so much more!) was available. There was not one spec of dust throughout the home, the gardens were a perfect scene of tranquility and the little touch of board games and coffee machine made sure us adults and our kids had a wonderful time. Being a family of crazy cat people, the added bonus of having the neighbour's cats, Ollie and Nelson, visit each day was the highlight of our weekend away. It was hard to say goodbye to Ollie's little 'grumpy' face :) Sophia's thoughtfulness and emails to check everything was ok was not expected. She honestly is so caring and has gone above and beyond. So much so...we got an email from her last night with pictures of Ollie the cat, saying hello! We will most definitely be back in winter to enjoy the fire and hopefully some frost. I can not recommend Poet's Cottage highly enough (though I hate to say that in case it is continually booked out!! ) ;) Thank you so much Sophia, cant wait to get back there. Peta

Lovely Cottage in great location
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage. My husband is a wheelchair user and was able access the property using a small portable ramp that we bought with us to get up the step at the front of the property. Whilst he could use the toilet, he wasn’t able to access the shower. To make this property completely wheelchair accessible the owner could make a few easy changes such as removing the shower screen and just having a roll in shower. Otherwise the property was beautiful and the communication with the property manager excellent.

Perfect, Tranquil Poet’s Cottage
This is the most beautiful property in a quiet part of the mountains and our love of Poet’s Cottage has now brought us there twice, with plans for another stay in 2020. Sophia is the “dream” property manager, who communicates regularly to ensure everything is running smoothly. The cottage is tastefully decorated, has a really well-appointed kitchen, and provides a peaceful and relaxing backdrop to a weekend in the mountains. The garden is equally beautiful and a lovely place to sit with a cuppa or a glass of wine! Love this place - we’ll be back! Robyn, Kellie and Sandy
