Summer vacay

Annual family trip to the beach never stayed at the Portofino property before. Enjoyed the property but for me and my family we require a later check out the 9 AM.

Unexpected fees

We had a wonderful time and it’s a great condo very clean, but we were very disappointed when we left and later found out that we had additional fees charged by that property. Nothing was shared in the total expenses ahead of time and no one took accountability for being proactive and letting us know that they would be additional fee of $135 charged by the property.They required our credit card to check in even though we fully paid upfront and then they charged us this additional fee which was a surprise. I also left a pair of shoes and I opened a work order and I have not heard anything in two weeks.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property. Super spacious. Great view. Easy beach access or access to the bay right off the main pool. Outside bar and grill was amazing. Definitely recommend this place! We will be back !

Lovely place

The place is lovely and has a great ocean view out of every window. The owners gave thought to how it is equipped. They have everything you need including nice grill utensils, blender, crockpot, etc. I’d stay there again for sure.

Property great but watch out for gotchas with management!

First, no question property is fantastic. Clean, updated and fun! I would go back because of the amenity. The rental Management, not so much. A surprise charge of an un substantiated for a broken microwave (basically a new one) handle was assessed without a call nor email asking us about it. They just flat out assumed we did it. Fortunately, we take pictures before we leave of the condition because of unscrupulous actions such as this. Submitting a fraudulent charge for unsubstantiated damage is a clear and direct violation of consumer protection laws. No state attorney general would put up with this. Because we took photos, the evidence was clear that the microwave was intact upon leaving and their photo submitted was clearly done to accuse us of something a cleaning crew had done and wanted to not accept responsibility. This is poor professionalism and clear cut fraud. Fortunately, I had immediately disputed the charge with my bank. The company did reverse the charge with our photo proof submitted. This would not have been the case if we had not done it and we would have ended up in a dispute resolution. All I can say is anyone renting from any property is take pictures of everything before you leave. These property management companies are covering up for their mistakes by blaming renters.

Nice place but dirty - check all closets

Stays was nice but found a loaded .38 revolver and semi automatic (100+ rounds of ammo) in the master closet along with dirty towels. Safed the weapons and notified management immediately upon finding said weapons and instructed them to follow up with the proper authorities. Management company is busy with hurricane, but I expect a follow up from them to further discuss. That is a major fail and the management company (Southern Rentals) is completely is responsible.

Labor Day Weekend 2020

There were a few minor issues in the condo such as the patio doors not opening due to a broken lock (maintenance came out and fixed the next day), the ice maker did not work (we had to buy ice), and there was no hot water in the kitchen. Also the temperature in the condo at the coolest is 70, it is locked and will not go cooler. I prefer it a little cooler, especially when sleeping. Overall the condo was neat , clean and very comfortable. The location is excellent as far as being close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. The onsite amenities are excellent.

Terrible Property Management

No communications. Over 90 minutes, over three attempts to find out check-in procedures. The only reason we were able to talk with someone was because they called when unit was not going to be ready on time - never again!

Beautiful condo with beautiful views

The condo is perfectly located by the lifestyle center, with access to several resort amenities, and a short walk to the beach. The balcony faces the gulf and provided beautiful views from sunrise to sunset. We loved hearing the dolphins at night. Condo interior was very comfortable with everything we needed provided. We would definitely book this condo again.

Beautiful view and perfect layout to enjoy everything a vacation should have to offer.

The service was great form arrival to departure all the people there were great. Great food, fun and relaxation for anybody looking to get away from it all.
