Hi my name is Vern. I have holiday let my unit for the last 5 years and have now decided to look after rentals myself. I will meet you at the unit at the start of your stay and show you around or if thats not possible I can give the number to the key safe and you can let yourself in. After hours check in available. Having lived at Bribie for a number of years I can answer any questions about Bribie you may have. You can contact me by phone should any problems arise. My aim is to make your stay as happy and enjoyable possible. I charge no cleaning fee and the linen package is provided free. There are no added extras.

My lovely large 3 bedroom apartment is situated on the water at 7 South Esplanade, Bongaree on Bribie Island.

This is a second (top) floor unit, at the back of a block of 7, with passage views from the kitchen, dining, living areas and back balcony. It is bordered at the side and back by a tidal creek which is alive with local wildlife, including ducks, ibis, lorikeets and the kookaburras which like to come and sit on the balcony to say hello and be hand fed.

Come in, sit back and relax with a drink while watching the sun set over the mainland across the Pumicestone Passage.

The surrounding area is very quite during the day and very very quite at night.

Located on South Esplanade at Bongaree, it is quiet enough for a peaceful getaway but still within walking distance of shops (including antique shops and dress shops), takeaways, waterfront cafes, restaurants, the Bowls Club (400 Metres) , the Sports Club (50 Metres) and the RSL Club(700 Metres).

Major food shops including Woolworths (Major Shopping Centre), IGA and Aldi are within minutes drive.

The new Sandstone Point Hotel is 5 minutes drive. (mainland side of bridge)

The patrolled surf beach is a 5 minute drive across the island. The Surf Life Saving Club offers beautiful meals on their deck overlooking the surf beach.

The public boat ramp on Welsby Parade is just a couple of minutes drive.

There is excellent fishing and swimming in the passage or just lay in the sun on the beautiful sandy beach straight across the road.

There are also picnic tables and chairs and free BBQs in the surrounding beach front parks.

The flat wide walking track goes for several kilometres along the beach front.
The Unit.

For the bird watcher a five minute walk south to Buckleys Hole will find this 87.7 hectare park with bird hide is home to more than 190 species of migratory and wading birds, species include spoonbill, cormorant, pied oyster catcher, egret, grey-tailed tattler.

Washing machine and dryer recessed in bathroom with ironing facilities

All good quality furniture, Laundry washing machine and dryer and kitchen appliances and utensils as new.

Single lock up remote control garage. Drive strait down driveway into garage.

NOTE. Grassed area at front of unit block has now been deemed NO PARKING by the council. Parking there may result in a fine.

Linen included. NO EXTRA FEE. Includes sheets, blankets and pillows (including mattress and pillow protectors), bath and beach towels, and kitchen linen.

The modern kitchen is equipped with a cooktop, oven and microwave and a family sized fridge/freezer.

The unit is family friendly and can comfortably sleep 6 people. The bedrooms are light and airy and the kitchen is well appointed.

Relax in the lounge watching Foxtel (full premium package) or a DVD on the 62" flat screen digital TV.

Enjoy your meals at the dining table that seats 6.

Relax on the balcony and watch the boats, dolphins and bird life.

All windows in the kitchen, dinning room and lounge have beautiful views of the water and the surrounding parks and creek.

HOUSE RULES Not many but important

This is a family holiday or couples retreat unit. IT IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE. So No Parties. There are other owners and guests in the unit block and we ask that their peace and quite be respected especially at night time and definitely after 10pm.
Guests can loose their security bond and can be evicted if they breach this policy.

No Excess Guests

There is NO CLEANING FEE so we ask that the unit be left clean and tidy as found.

Furniture is not be be moved.

Please note this is a Non Smoking Unit. ( Smoking is allowed outside on the Balcony)

Sorry NO PETS allowed in the unit at all.

Replacement fee of $150 will be charged if the unit keys are lost or not returned.

Spacious property with lock up garage that is close to shops for breakfast, lunch and evening meals not to mention paddling in Pumicestone Passage.

Amazing location, spacious unit and a great host.

We had an wonderful few days By the Seaside at Bribie with our four young children. The location of the unit is perfect - straight across from a lovely sandy beach and within walking distance to everything you need. Well stocked with everyday essentials, linen was included (as well as beach towels) and there was even beach play equipment for our kids. Vern was a lovely host and was available by phone throughout our stay. Our only criticism was that the bathroom could use a little freshen up. Unfortunately the downstairs neighbour is a smoker and we found this a bit annoying as we had to continually close the windows to stop the smoke drifting in; this is of course completely out of Vern's control but something that should be noted.

An amazing property with everything you need at your fingertips

We recently stayed here for a weekend with our 2 kids, aged 11 and 13. Vern has done an amazing job in making sure whatever you need is provided from towels, linens, pantry staples and even an umbrella at the front door. The passage is directly across the road, a great place to swim with little ones and with the windows open you get a beautiful breeze through the unit. The view is wonderful and bird watching in the tidal flow behind the unit helps pass the time. The unit is beautifully presented, well equipped and incredibly comfortable. We will definitely be looking at staying here again. Thankyou Vern for everything.

Comfortable unit in an ideal location. Lovely views over the passage to the Glasshouse Mountains. On the beach, close to shops and cafes. Wonderful walks along the beach to the bird hide and lake. A very enjoyable holiday.

Perfect spot!

We had a couple of nights stay on the May long weekend and just loved it. The unit is in a perfect position, just across the road from the beach, close to all amenities - cafes, shops etc, but quiet. The unit was well stocked with everything we needed and very comfortable. Vern was a great host, responding quickly to any questions and it was all so well organised. Oldie and a goodie

Although an older unit it is very comfortable, spacious and well maintained. Clean and tidy Very central to Bongaree beach and village. Beautiful view of Pumice Stone Passage and the tidal creek. Lots of birdlife in the trees off the balcony. Sadly our only complaint was the smokers downstairs but there certainly isn't anything our host can do about that.

The unit was clean and tidy the only thing that put a bummer on our stay was the smell coming out of the unit below in number 4 it was so bad when we arrived that we could not sit out on the balcony as it was rising up from below.It smelled the 2 days we were there.Other than that the unit was nice.
