Perfect Location
Absolutely perfect! Large 2-bedroom spacious apartment, second floor with stunning views from the large balcony of the Pacific Ocean meeting the Hastings River, the break wall and Mrs York’s Garden opposite. Well-equipped throughout, TV, DVD, lounge suites, coffee tables, dining area, large oscillating fan, fully self-contained kitchen, large refrigerator, microwave, all the utensils etc., same view from kitchen window as balcony. A large laundry with washing machine, dryer and tub, clothes horse, pegs, iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner. Separate toilet, large bathroom area along with bathtub. Large queen size ensemble plus built in robes in both bedrooms and hallway, twin ensembles in second bedroom, a folding bed with all linen, plenty of blankets and doonas. Underground lock up single garage along with ample street parking. Very comfortable and clean. Thank you.

The property is in excellent location close to town in nice secure building. The property is a good size but a little dated. The property is mostly clean but has a slight musty smell which is better with windows open. The properties kitchen utensil and cook wear supplies leave a little to be desired. No frypan melted old utensils. Overall very convenient location good size and practical.

Great location, neat and tidy apartment, secure parking
This was a great place to stay, easy walking distance in both directions to beach, walking tracks, cafes, club and restaurants. The apartment is newly carpeted and was neat and tidy. Secure garage parking. A few issues with the tv not being connected - but we worked around that. I hadn't stayed in apartment for a long time and even though I took my own linen, if had forgotten that I needed to provide everything else, for example, toilet paper, soap and forgot to take my hairdryer (there isn't one here)!!

Property in need of a deep clean, a few minor furnishings like lamps missing. Mattress toppers present but quite old, Kitchen wasn't fully equipped. Damp smell apparent throughout (could have been due to heavy rain and flooding in area the week prior) All issues have been advised to property manager so hopefully rectified. On a positive the apartment was large and spacious and location great but overall not what we expected.

We were expecting a dated property and that is fine however the unit smelt terrible when we entered and doors and windows needed to be left open at all times. No dishwasher as advertised, bed uncomfortable with a old piece of foam as a topper, screen door fell off ( but was repaired promptly by property manager) but was unable to be used, internal of cupboards dusty and dirty unit was noisy due to traffic. Owner should take notice of reviews and upgrade unit and provide some more ammenities such as wi fi hair dryer and smart tv.

The positives: Good location, short walk to town beach and into Port Mac shops. Nice view from balcony. The negatives: Unit is very outdated including beds which appear very old and not particularly comfortable. Needs a good renovation throughout. Mould on ceiling in bathroom, blinds difficult to operate and not very effective. Unit was quite noisy at night due to layout of apartment block which resulted in constantly hearing other units doors opening/closing and general noise from other units. Not terrible but wouldn't stay here again.

Plenty of room for a maximum group.
First impressions were a bit disappointing but after a couple of days when we got used to keys and access through garage etc we started to feel “at home”. Great position and view from lounge room, kitchen fine, bathroom old but worked well although shower space was very small. Queen bed comfortable enough and lounges ok. Enjoyed the week we had, Port Macquarie a nice place to have a holiday.

Stunning views, amazing value
Very clean and tidy, older style apartment and block, well maintained. Fantastic open views to the north, can watch sunrise and sunset from the balcony, and a lovely winter sunspot. Great location walking distance to town and to beach. Kitchen well stocked for cooking needs, dining and lounge spacious. Good 4G reception (optus) to make up for no wifi. Would be nice if TV had HD tuner (or could be aerial) to get the HD TV stations.

Good Value Good Location.
*Close to town and the beach. All within walking distance. *Excellent veiw of the park and further off ocean from balcony. *Roomy. *Lock up garage under building, but very tight fit for our SUV. *The only problem was Thursday night when some girls, from a visiting football team, moved in the unit above us and basicly made noise all night. At one stage they were arguing about how to fry a hash brown at 2am in the morning.

Although the property was a bit dated it was quite comfortable and suited our needs. There was a lovely new lounge and the view was fantastic. A great location to walk to beach and town. The only down side was that it was quite noisy as it was on a corner and because there was a lane behind the garbage trucks were noticeable. Good value for money.

In need of some TLC.
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The mattresses in the second bedroom were not fit to be slept on, they were replaced quickly. Pillows need replacing and the place needs a good clean top to bottom. I scrubbed the kitchen cabinet handles as they were filthy and sticky to touch, same with the window sills. The wardrobes have that musty smell that comes with age. Location is terrific near enough to walk to town and an easy stroll to town beach. There is no air con and in January this year we found out very hot, whereas last year had been fine with the sea breeze. There is a not of traffic noise at night so air con so you could hear the tv properly would be better. The lounges are worn and sag. They are said to be only a year old but they were old and saggy a year ago. The fans in bedrooms are very noisy so having them on at night means disturbed sleep. Also you have to pull a chain to work the fans. It's time for an upgrade of them as well. A year ago I enjoyed my stay well enough. This year not so much. The ageing of the place cannot continue to be ignored. The owners need to spend some money bringing it back up to an acceptable standard. A thorough clean, new robes and fans, led lighting and comfortable chairs. The outdoor chairs also uncomfortable, a shame when it's so nice to sit on the verandah.Wiseberry staff were amazing in getting the mattress situation taken care of. I cannot recommend the property in its current state, a little money spent will reap rewards and make it a terrific place again.

Reviewer Comments: Quarterdeck 9 is ideally located in Port Macquarie's CBD, situated within walking distance of Town Beach and the beautiful Hastings River waterfront precinct.The unit is very spacious, overlooking Mrs York's garden and boasts scenic ocean views.While the unit is clean, I would suggest a professional clean be conducted.(similar to having a car detailed) Also there was a very strong odor of curry throughout, when we first arrived, perhaps because the unit hadn't been occupied for a time.We bought some air freshener and diffusers, which quickly resolved the issue. The above comments are not meant as criticisms, just observations, as we would gladly stay at Quarterdeck 9 again.

We love the location and the relaxing balcony with fantastic views.Everything is within walking distance but you can use your vehicle, which can be safely housed in the facilities' secure garage.The unit was in immaculate condition when we arrived and we were so impressed.The Wiseberry staff, as always, were friendly and helpful from the booking stage, through to collection of keys, things to do in the area and checkout.We would absolutely recommend the Wiseberry Team and their holidays rentals to our friends and family.
