Situated in the private grounds of ‘Bimbadgen’, the two bedroom weatherboard cottage offers a great country getaway. It’s an ideal base for couples or families wanting to explore all that the Southern Highlands has to offer. It’s located just off the Old Hume Highway and is within minutes to Mittagong (7km), Bowral (10km) and Berrima (10km).

Overlooking the cool-climate garden, the cottage comfortably sleeps 4 people. It comes equipped with two bedrooms (1x queen bed and 2 x king singles), one bathroom (dual access from both bedrooms), kitchen. The combined living / dining room comfortably seats 4 people and includes a flat screen TV and DVD player.

French doors open onto a paved pergola area, which includes a BBQ and outdoor table seating for up to 8 people.

The property is child friendly and will keep the kids entertained for hours with a cubby house and kid's bikes available for use. For those with young children, a cot and high-chair can be arranged upon request.

We can also arrange a meal delivery service from a local catering company upon request.

The perfect place to relax and unwind

The cottage was inviting, cozy and had everything we needed, my son thoroughly enjoyed all the books and the cows too. The surrounds were so quiet, the gardens impeccably maintained and the bonus of fresh eggs from the chickens was wonderful. We explored the towns of Mittagong and Bowral and Berrima and were spoiled for choice of great cafes and restaurants. We certainly hope to return!

Sue & Glenn were the perfect hosts. The house was perfectly presented and comfortable with everything we could have needed. It was a truely wonderful place to stay. Will certainly be back the next chance we get.

Quiet and relaxing

This country farm cottage was well presented, quiet and relaxing. Well located close to beautiful antique shops, restaurants etc. We travelled down the Wombeyan Caves Road one day to see the caves but they were closed. The road was extremely bad and we would not recommend travelling along it even in a four wheel drive. However, it did not take away from the rest of our stay visiting Mittagong, Moss Vale and Bowral. We will definitely stay at this property again. Thank you so much to the lovely owners Glenn and Sue.

Bimbagen Mittagong/Bowral

We were down in the Southern Highlands area for the Sting concert at Centennial Winery. Bimbagen Cottage was absolutely perfect for this, extremely close to both the venue, Mittagong and Bowral and just right for two couples staying together. Very well kept property in beautiful surrounds and Glenn and Sue very easy to contact. My only recommendation would be locks on the shared bathroom as it has an entrance from each bedroom!

Perfect Family Stay

Came to the area for a wedding, had a fantastic stay with my husband and our two children. Hosts are friendly and property is beautiful. Children will miss Charlie (the lab). If returning to the area, will definitely book again.

A rural retreat

Situated in Woodlands, the cottage is situated on a large property with the owners house well away from the cottage. Very peaceful with well maintained garden surrounds. Less than 10 minutes to Mittagong with easy access to Bowral, Berrima and Moss Vale.

Homely cottage with friendly hosts

Sue & Glenn were great hosts and only too happy to help make our stay enjoyable or give directions. The have a lovely property with the cottage sufficiently remote from the main house to give you ample privacy. Close to local wineries and an easy 10min drive go Bowral or the historic Berrima Township. We cracked it for a sunny weekend mid winter with crystal clear nights & chilly nights. Sue had turned on the lights & heating before we arrived which was much appreciated. Would happily stay here again when next in the area.

Relax Relax Relax

We had a peaceful relax away from the hurly burly. Sue and Glenn introduced themselves and were available should they be required. Everything we needed was there, including all the cooking implements we wanted. As it rained, we availed ourselves of the plethora of excellent cafe coffee in Mittagong and Bowral, visited nearby wineries for great tastings and chilled with the large number of DVDs which begged for a binge. We will definitely return.

Charming cottage with gorgeous scenery

This was a lovely cottage for a short stay, plenty of room for our family of 4 and surrounded by beautiful Autumn colours. We appreciated the heating provided by the reverse cycle air conditioning in the living area when the sun went down, and the personal touches that featured throughout.

Picturesque Tranquility

It was a lovely weekend getaway with the gorgeous gals. Great value, a sweet cottage, far enough away from the hustle and bustle yet close enough to explore eateries, shopping and nature walks. So much to do and see in the region, will be back for more.
