This property was simply amazing. Stayed with my wife and our kids and it was perfect. The house, the dock, the garden and pond were incredible. Clayton was the perfect host, readily available and quick to respond! We will definitely be back.
We usually go to beach but decided to try something different and this was a great pick! House was beautiful and roomy to where we could separate with parents in one room and kids in sunroom. We played cards in dining room and could watch kids in sunroom without noise. We rented a boat from Yankee Point Marina and brought a tube for kids to ride and they had a blast! Moms tried out the Lucky winery while Dads took kids to Compass all day. It has something for all kids and they kept talking about how much fun it was. The favorite with our grandkids was the dock. They used the fishing poles and net provided to catch fish and crabs. They discovered that the crabs hung out on dock posts and loved catching them. This was the first time fishing for most of them and they were so excited when they caught a fish. It was really nice going to garden to get tomatoes and cucumbers when making dinners. Our 3 year granddaughter loved feeding the fish and walking over the little bridge. We were really impressed with how well Clayton communicated with us providing great suggestions and had someone out the next day to check out fountain that quit working. When vacation was over, they said it was more fun than the beach.
This vacation home provides everything you need for a tranquil and comfortable escape. With its well-equipped amenities and inviting atmosphere, it offers a cozy retreat. The fantastic pool adds to the enjoyment, making it an exceptional choice for a relaxing getaway.
This house did not disappoint!
We booked this home for 6 adults and 4 children ranging from 6 to 12 years. The home was clean, spacious, and fully stocked with amenities and kitchen supplies. One thing to note, a bedroom and bath are in the pool house separate from the main house.
The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We enjoyed feeding the fish, fresh vegetables from the gardens, views and fishing from the dock. We spent most of our time enjoying the pool with plenty of seating and pool supplies to enjoy.
The hosts were very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. They provided great suggestions on places to eat and do with a family of young kids. Unfortunately, we did miss out on experiencing some of the recommended restaurants as all tables were reserved on the days we were looking. I would suggest making reservations a couple days in advance to ensure you get the opportunity to experience them.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and would recommend this home to anyone looking for a serine getaway!
Thank you!
The property was very nice and had plenty of room for 6 adults and 3 kids. It was very clean and had all the supplies we needed to cook for the week. There were plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to accommodate everyone. The pool and dock were particularly nice. Everything seemed to be well maintained. Lawn and exterior pest control came while we were there. They were in and out pretty quick and did not disturb us. This was not a negative, I just mention it because they clearly keep up on everything and it looks as good as it does in the listing pictures.
My only contact with the property owner was to ask for the door code on the way there and he responded right away.
Thank you.
When we arrived, we were amazed. This home was even better than described and depicted in the listing. A truly luxurious home on the river.
We booked this home for a group of 3 families. 6 adults and 5 children ranging from 1 to 8 years old. There was plenty of space to accommodate us. The home has multiple living and dining areas to space out. The kitchen was stocked with all the essential cookware and utensils. The home was clean and had no signs of prior guests or usage. The bedrooms and bathrooms were stocked with fresh towels/linens.
We took full advantage of the grounds and garden areas. We harvested fresh onions and lettuce for cooking. The children had fun exploring the garden and waterfall areas. Feeding the fish in the koi pond became a daily ritual. We even used the gorgeous backdrop of the garden for family photos.
We spent most of our time at the heated pool. The pool is MASSIVE. It felt like we were at a private resort. Plenty of lounge chairs, floating rafts, and pool toys were available for our use. The private dock was great for fishing and observing nature. Sunsets were beautiful.
Clayton and his family were tremendous hosts. They were extremely responsive and available if we needed something. Clayton provide a detailed summary of the area and recommended places for us to visit. The area is filled with quiet beach areas, quaint small towns, and great local places to eat. I highly recommend the Deltaville Maritime Museum.
Five Stars. We will return!
