Duk 'n' Willa Beach Cottage is an idyllic quintessential Queenslander positioned in Pialba only 600 meters from the beach, having close proximity to cafes and restaurants, shopping centres, children's fun parks and the Hervey Bay Golf and Country Club. The functionally stylish Beach Cottage is enveloped in beach-chic interior design with relaxation and comfort in mind. Duk 'n' Willa Beach Cottage delivers a light and airy beach feel through the use of hard wood timber floors and high ceilings, capturing the timeless era in which it was built.

The beach cottage has an open plan living space, fully equipped modern kitchen, two bedrooms (1 x queen bed / 2 x single beds) and a sleep out (1 x double bed).
There is plenty of space to spread out with a large, fully fenced backyard to relax and unwind in. The over sized entertainment area is covered and is perfect for BBQ's, there is also a lockup garage and yard access for boats and jet skis.

Awesome

We enjoyed our stay here. The dogs loved it as well. It was a short walk down to the beach. It was fairly quiet but still close to everything. We would definitely come back again. Bridget was an excellent host - readily available and very accommodating.

Our Stay at Duk-n-Willa

Our stay at the above property was overall very disappointing. The condition of the cottage was very disappointing and did not warrant a 4.6 rating. Externally the cottage was in a terrible state including the laundry. There were holes in the suffits and internally and externally the cottage was desperate for a paint. On 2 occassions we returned after a day out to no hot water. There was insufficient towels for 4 people and NETFLIX was not accessible at all times. We felt unsafe due to cars hooning each night and argumentative neighbours. During the day for six days road works were camped outside the door.interanally the range hood in the kitchen and the stove needed a good clean and I spent time wiping grubby marks off the wall, windowsills and wiping thick dust off daddo rails. There was evidence of mould over the back and front door and the back screen door no longer locked or was clean.the ceiling internally was sagging and paint beginning to peel.internal doors, door frame needed painting, nor would have passed building standards. Whilst it was evident attempts were made to present the cottage well there still was inadequate seating in the loungeroom and the the cottage did not deliver as advertised for the amount of money charged per day. $200+

Close to everything

Property is perfect for us. Close to walking party along the esplanade Easy drive to Burrum Heads and other spots. Lots great cafes in the Bay, walk or drive to.

Nice old house. Neighbourhood not so nice, felt unsafe.

House not cleaned properly. Undesirable neighbours yelling and fighting till after midnight each night, my son felt scared and unsafe. The hot water system is too small for everyone to shower in the one day, we had to have a couple of cold showers. Dishwasher had a meals worth of food piled in the bottom. Had to wash/clean things before use. Barbecue was so filthy it was a health hazard, took an hour to clean before we could eat off it. I let the property owner know about all these issues but have had no reply. Overall disappointing.

Really comfortable & well equipped property for families & furry friends. We hope to stay again. The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is because I couldn't give 4.5 stars & one bathroom & no separate toilet was challenging at times!

Excellent, close to everything walking and driving. Quiet neighbourhood, nice and roomy and a beautiful breeze inside and out. Well equipped with everything you need for a holiday. Fully fenced dogs loved it. My daughter didnt want to leave. Will stay again

Beautiful little get away

This cottage is situated in a quiet area, and close to the beach and esplanade. With an old dog, we like to take her with us to enjoy the holidays but she needs somewhere to stay and rest too. This house is fully fenced and takes little dogs in mind. We had a great time, and will def be back in the future. :)

Great location, close to dog friendly beach and esplanade. Where you can certainly get your 10000 steps aday. Great dog friendly yard. Home had everything you need, very nicely set up This was our third stay at Duk n Willa, and will be visiting again

Lovely home, comfortable, clean, convenient, an abundance of fresh sea breezes and lovely neighbourhood. This lovely little abode does however, need some tender loving maintenance care. Nothing major but certainly needs addressing.

Home away from home

Great home for our particular holiday experience, bringing 3 generations together for an interstate holiday. Close to beach and parks, shopping and restaurants; quiet street, plenty of room in the house and outdoors. Extra fridge space, great pantry and good quality appliances all appreciated. Property manager excellent to deal with.

Another wonderful stay at Duk 'n' Willa

As always, our annual stay at D 'n' W was perfect. Why? 1/ Lovely, comfy, and easy-to live-in property 2/ Big shady yard for our little dog to play and lots of room for our car and trailer, which we can wash as needed 3/ Nice outdoor area 4/ Yabby banks, fishing, kayaking and snorkelling all close by. 5/ Restaurants close by 6/ Bridget is a super host!

Fantastic accomodation one small constructive criticism would be to replace the mattress as a minimum in the master bedroom as it in my opinion is past it and I found it extremely uncomfortable maybe replace bed for a queensize as it appears to be a double? Apart from this the place is fantastic no issues with ventilation even in 2nd sunroom dispite fan not working. If that master bed is upgraded it would make such a difference thanks for a wonderful stay thank you we hopefully will be back

Great location

Great property for family of four with children or seniors plus a dog. The Queenslander house is clean and tidy. The property is walking distance to water park and off leased dog park. Probably adding more baking or basic cooking utensil such as colander, salad bowl, masher, etc. The internet and Netflix was great for our seniors parents. New oven and fancy toaster were fantastic. Second air-con or bigger fan in the back bedroom would be ideal especially in summer. Great for those coming for fishing trip. The second fridge would be helpful. Comfortable compact cottage

Charming compact cottage, with everything you need, but in need of some TLC. Good sized yard (dotted with lovely perfumed frangipanis) and outdoor patio. The interior has been transformed and modernised, and tastefully decorated, but a bit tired. Loved what has been done to the front verandah to create a 3rd bedroom/sleep-out, but I gather it would be a very hot room in summer? The exterior desperately needs maintenance and the unsecured garage (roller door was partly open when we arrived, and half of it filled with bikes etc) can be an issue, but access to the yard by vehicles is no problem. Comfortable enough for short stays.

Touch Footy Get Away

We stayed at DuknWilla for the touch football state cup. The location was convenient to both local facilities and the grounds and the property was fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Bridget was easy to deal with and communication was always quick and clear. Thanks!

Absolutely loved our stay, Not long enough and we will be back :)

Duk 'n' Willa, we couldn't have asked for more, this beautiful old cottage was well presented, contained a tonne of hidden extras and the best bit - pet friendly :D! Easy to access on arrival with a separate 2 car garage and double gate, a large outdoor area and enter into our 5 day paradise at blissful Hervey Bay...... The more we looked through the property, the more little extras we found to make our stay comfortable.. Just by chance we even found a dog bed folded up under the BBQ, our dog loved it too. Comfy beds, wifi, netflix, dishwasher and well equipped laundry added to our beautiful break, and Bridget kept in contact with us unobtrusively through sms to answer all of our requests/questions. There are a couple of things to keep in mind, much of the property is not screened, however the main a/c works well. If you have a dog the gates latch well, however they do not lock. For shorties like me the roller door is too high to pull down once up. The property is generally peaceful but since the addition of the new estate a couple of years ago on Hythe Street, the corner the cottage sits on is a bit of a thoroughfare for local traffic, particularly at peak hour. Some more plus's - this property is seriously close to the off lead park and beach if you have a pooch. Dog bowls supplied and a well maintained yard. There are blinds and privacy blinds throughout as well as locks to all of the windows. The only complaint we had is that that the back security door will not lock (the front does lock though). House Review

Overall the Property needs updating, i.e Blinds hard to open and close, broken louvre and they do not open fully, oven needs to be fixed loose seal, had to fix back screen door as it would not close, not very clean - dust everywhere, outside concrete near back door is a trip hazard. It is pet freindly.
