Tracks End Retreat is the perfect place for that family gathering, holiday or special occasion. Your hosts Anne & Kevin warmly welcome you to their unique rural property set high on a ridge overlooking the picturesque valley of the Clarence River to the north-east and with expansive views of the Gibraltar range to the west. Early risers will enjoy the sunrise over the coastal range and frequently see wallabies and kangaroos grazing nearby. Watching the sun set over the mountain range is a joy to behold while you listen to Galahs, King Parrots, Lorikeets and other hollow-nesting birds settle for the night.
Sometimes a magic moment will stay with you for the rest of your life.
The Retreat
The fully fenced house has four bedrooms and sleeps seven people, however can accommodate more by prior arrangement.
On the southern side of the house you can luxuriate in the Queen sized bed made up with organically grown cotton sheets. It has it's own en-suite, lounge chairs and access to a private area of the verandah. There is a single room close-by.
Across the open plan living room and kitchen is the King room which contains two King single beds, has access to the large main bathroom with a claw-foot bath and shower, and opens onto the front verandah. A room with two single beds alongside this room accesses the main bathroom also. Perfect for a family of four. A Portable Cot is available.
We are conscious of our environmental footprint and your health so endeavour to clean without chemicals.
The windows across the front of the Retreat, both fixed and louvred, allow wonderful views of both valleys of the 126 acre property and maximizes the cool breezes circulating from the coastal range.
Birdwatching
As you arrive at the gate to the property you are welcomed by the songs of many small birds which flourish in this area. The property is a birdwatcher's delight due to the diversity of habitat, including open grasslands, eucalypt forests and valleys which ensure an abundance of small and large birds.
