Pleasantly Surprised after Uncertain Start.
The few blocks in from the expressway showed the worst view of the area and we were a little nervous about the neighborhood. After a day in the area we reversed our initial impression and felt much more comfortable with the safety and location.
The house was clean and very well appointed. We loved the choices of decor and appliances. The owner who met us was very kind and patient with our questions. She had even gotten beach towels and chairs since we had asked ahead. That was a really nice touch that made a huge difference since we went to the beach everyday.
The owner had some trouble with her welcome documents through VRBO which she normally has delivered through another rental site she uses. Suggested she leave a printed list of instructions and tips on the counter to help future renters. After she got them to us, it was very helpful and we followed some of her tips for local beaches. Nearby tide pools were awesome!
One of the pull out couches was in the master bedroom and didn't fit well with our family layout. As we were leaving, we realized the chairs in the main room were some kind of futon. We made it work without anyway.
Overall, the owner was great to work with. The house was very good and we would happily stay there again or recommend to friends.
