Stunning historic cottage in fabulous Central South Hill location. Belmore Cottage is on The National Heritage Register and was once home to the Mayor of Armidale. It is the second oldest house in Armidale, originally built in 1866. Belmore Cottage is luxuriously appointed and a great place to stay whether you are in town for business or pleasure. We look forward to welcoming you to Armidale.

Elegantly styled, this lovely property combines old world charm with modern conveniences. Although the temperature outside dipped to below zero, it was easy to keep the house warm.
It was great to be within walking distance of of the town centre and dining out options.
There had, apparently, been some confusion between the owner and the cleaners, and the bed had not been made up prior to my arrival. However, Kate responded immediately to my phone call and sent the cleaners to make up the bed straight away.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.
Lovely period house in a terrific location in terms of walking to restaurants and eateries. The beds were extremely comfortable but where the Master Bedroom has hanging space and drawers, the second bedroom has only a small wardrobe and no shelves or drawers. The kitchen is a good size and has a very decent supply of plates, pans, utensils etc. It was lovely to have the fridge stocked with mineral water, bread and milk for our arrival. But I am in agreement with a previous reviewer about lack of attention to detail and would say that the description of the house as “luxuriously appointed” is a stretch. Having said that, we had a great stay and Armidale is an easy and beautiful place to get around.

Armidale Stay
Great, location, charming house, let down by lack of attention to detail. No welcome book or instructions on heating etc, minimal provisions, fireplaces not cleaned out, no heating on when we arrived (cold house wasnt very welcoming). Beds were great and it could be a perfect location with a bit more preparation.

Rustic half cottage
Overall comfortable rustic half cottage cottage within walking distance to everything. We would have marked the rating higher however a rat appeared in the lounge room from the kitchen. We would recommend the owner provide a contact number as the electronic door can be a challenge for some on checkin.
We recently stayed 3 nights at Belmore Cottage; the house is very comfortable, well furnished and inviting to guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Walking distance to shops, restaurants. Kate, our host responded promptly to my queries. Highly recommend. Recommend Petersons Winery for dinner
The house is great. Its comfortable, lots of space, with charm - and a good well stocked kitchen. Its in a quiet area but walking distance to the shops and restaurants.

We had a great stay at this home. Beautifully styled and with everything well stocked for your stay, from the kitchen to the laundry to an interesting selection of books in the bookcase. The home is really well located too. And i really appreciated the big bathtub! Communication with the owner was excellent. We would definitely return.
The house was in the perfect location to walk to close by bars and restaurants with ease. Surprisingly quiet for a house so central to the centre of the town. The house was very clean and had a lovely homely feel.
It was wonderful, after a long drive through smoke, to arrive and settle in to such comfort.
Apparently we made one small mistake by parking in the driveway and not driving in fully to be in front of the cottage. But we sorted it out with the Doctor.
