Staying at Freshwater Apartments has long been a tradition for families seeking a quieter Northern Beaches getaway as an alternative to the buzz of world-class Manly Beach. Since the early 1900's, visitors have flocked to Freshwater Beach, where the surfing culture in Australia began.

Thankfully, camping on the beach is now a thing of the past, and Freshwater Apartments provide all the convenience and comforts expected from self-contained apartments in Sydney in the 21st century. These beach-side apartments are conveniently located. Visitors enjoy a short 100 metre walk across the grass reserve to the beach. The 'Calm Cafe' is at your front door and more than ready to serve you your next coffee or meal. The exciting shops in Freshwater village are a short walk up Moore Road.

Come evening, and your entertainment needs can be met at the popular Harbord Hotel, less than a 50 metre walk heading west. A variety of eating establishments can be found in Freshwater Village, only a 200 metre stroll away.

It is just a 20 minute walk or 5 minutes by bus or car to Manly, should you dare enter its buzzing rat race. Manly's city centre provides a hub that links visitors to the Sydney CBD with the beautiful Manly ferry, or a direct peak hour bus service to the city, with the world famous Opera House and Harbour Bridge.

When returning to the Northern Beaches in the evening, the most sought after transportation is a sunset ferry ride, where commuters can marvel at the colourful, picturesque harbour backdrop.

If you want to be next to the beach, and have cafes all near you this place is perfect. And excellent pub is close, for good meals, a good selection of beer and outdoor settings.

This place in freshwater is perfect for a weekend stay. Amazing location, so close to the beach and the Harbord hotel. There is public parking right next to it, if you are able to get a spot there its perfect!

Great location. The only things that would make it better would be a view outside. There was no window to outside. We walked out to the beach and swam in the beach pool everyday. We had a great time and we were very comfortable

Very clean and cozy, great location very close to the beach, shops etc. Has lovely eclectic vibe. Only drawback was booked for elderly parents with mobility issues and was listed as ground floor but about 10 steps to the ground level.

The apartment is an absolutely perfect place for a stay on the beaches. Great location in walking distance to the shops / restaurants and right at the beach. The place was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Would highly recommend.

Very clean little unit and perfect for a short stay. Well-appointed small kitchen if needed as a delightful cafe and The Harbord Hotel are just next door and the beach a short walk away. A very clean and well organised short stay studio room.All necessary facilities were there from microwave and cooktop to cafe next door for breakfast coffee and bacon/egg rolls.Although no view ,it suited us perfectly as so close to the beach and shops and cafes a short stroll way .

Being just behind the beach and only a few minutes walk from the cafes and restaurants in Freshwater - the location is perfect. The studio apartment was small but really well thought out to provide all we needed for our weekend away. It was very clean. I'd be happy to book it again sometime!

Great communication from Host. Property was exactly as listed and couldn’t be better placed for lovely freshwater beach and lovely shops and restaurants. Short walk to manly where you can catch a ferry direct to circular quay. Had a brilliant stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Perfect compact beach pad which could not be closer to the surf. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud... coffee shop next door and Harbord Hotel within 100 metres... and very quiet in unit. Kevin and Bridget were very responsive and resourceful when helping me out of a challenging situation... super reliable.
