THE LOCATION:

Typically many of our guests are extended families visiting local families or renovators who need to spend a little time away from the dust and dirt. We also host families in between properties, professionals relocating or working/training in and around Brisbane.

Camp Hill is a very central, safe and family orientated location. If you are interested in historical Queensland style houses, there is no shortage. It's fantastic to take an evening walk to check out the surroundings. You are only 1 kilomtere walk or a 2 min drive to Martha Street (cafes, restaurants & gift stores) and the brand new Coorparoo Square (movies, restaurants, supermarkets, Aldi, cafes and bar).

Chill is located on the main thoroughfare heading directly towards "The Gabba Cricket Ground", Mater Hospital, Lady Cilento Children's Hospital, South Bank and downtown Brisbane City, with public transport right outside your door. In the opposite direction it is easy access to the Gateway M1 Motorway, Brisbane Airport or heading to either the Gold Coast and theme parks to the South or Sunshine Coast and Australia Zoo to the north.

It's a super easy, door to door, single bus journey (Route 204) into Brisbane City, Sourthbank and Fortitude Valley Precinct. Or in the opposite direction is the HUGE Westfield Carindale Shopping Mecca.

It's the perfect location if your a family/group in Brisbane, who don't have a vehicle or are needing to share one vehicle.

THE HOUSE:

3 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom, Federation style, tastefully furnished home.
We have off-street parking for up to 3 vehicles (access via Pinecroft Street).
The kitchen and large covered outdoor deck are an entertainers delight and include a family size pantry and fridge & dishwasher.
This house has loads of space to relax with the family.
We have setup a double desk in the sunroom, to make working or studying at home comfortable for two people.

NOTE: Well behaved pets will be considered, however they will need to be discussed and approved by the owner to ensure they will be safe and happy during their stay.

FEATURES - The comforts of home, too many to list them all!

FREE Fast Wifi - to keep the kids & adults entertained. (although we have had very minimal problems, this is not guaranteed and subject to provider not having any outages of course. We also have the benefit of my husband who is in IT to troubleshoot issues).
FREE use of high chair and baby bath (you will need to request these items if needed).
Fully equipped kitchen (an absolute dream to cook in) has a servery window straight out onto the deck.
GAS cook top, electric oven and range-hood. Guest quote "I have stayed in many places, your kitchen setup is the best I have experienced".
THE kitchen is stocked with a few basics to get you started; cooking oil, sugar, tea, dishwasher powder and dish washing liquid.
NESPRESSO Coffee machine with some pods.
Bosch Dishwasher.
AIR CONDITIONING: Large reverse cycle unit (new 2023) in the lounge/dining/kitchen plus individual cooling units in B1 and B3.
ALL bedrooms have ceiling fans.
Polished timber floors throughout.
Internal laundry with washing machine and dryer.
Sun room/study/playroom is equipped with double desk and laundry cupboard with washing machine and dryer.
COMFORTABLE BEDS. Double and Queen are pillow tops.
All linen is provided.
Main bedroom has carpet, freestanding robe with plenty of hanging and drawers & its on ensuite bathroom.
Samsung 55cm LED Smart TV that is Netflix accesable so you can sign into your own account. **For new users you can sign up on a 30 day free trial.
LARGE covered entertaining deck with 8 seater table and daybed. This space also has a baby/pup gate to ensure peace of mind with toddlers and pets.
OFF STREET parking big enough for 3 vehicles.
EASY ACCESS - flat access with only 2 stairs to navigate from car, so no wrangling suitcases up lots of steps.

Bedding configuration - all linen provided
B1: 1 x Queen Pillow top bed. The room is large enough to fit a portable cot.
B2: 2 x Single beds with pillow top
B3: 1 x Double Pillow top bed

NOTE 1: We (the owners) DO NOT live at the property, however we do have quite a bit of storage underneath the property and very occasionally myself or my husband might pop in to the downstairs during business hours, to pick up various work items. (He is in IT and I manage Airbnbs).

NOTE 2: As mentioned above this house is on a main thoroughfare into the city and light sleepers many not cope with traffic noise.....having said that many guest still give us 5 stars as they know what they are getting into and really enjoy the size, price and amenities this property provides. Access/driveway to our property are from a quiet side street and the living areas, deck and kitchen all face this more pleasant aspect.

100 meters to Ashton and Old Cafe: Open at 6AM daily for breakfast, lunch or coffee.

A short stroll (1 kilometer) to many many restaurants, cafe's and supermarkets.

TAXI:
A Uber/taxi ride to the city is approx $13 to $25 one way depending what time of the day you go.

Great place for families to stay
Our little family had an excellent stay at this property. We stayed for 9 nights and the property had everything we could have hoped for. The location is great (close to the Brisbane CBD but gives you the nice suburban feel) and is close to supermarkets and shops. We’ve stayed here before and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Tracey (the property manager) is also delightful to deal with and quick to respond.

Awesome stay away from home
It is a lovely Queenslander style house, with almost every amenity you may need, I liked the Nespresso coffee machine and also the barbecue. There a couple of day beds throughout the house, to exclude yourself from others to do some reading. The only disadvantage was that the toilet is in the shower and with 3 different people with different needs at the time it can become a little problematic. Other than that, 5 stars all the way.

Central location close to shops and public transport. Manager is proactive with any issues that need addressing. Only negative is that it does border onto a main road so traffic noise is a problem, but I guess that is city living! Otherwise the property is renovated with good finishings.

Recently my husband, myself & our small fur baby stayed at Chill Camp Hill for 29 days while between homes. What a wonderful choice we made! This property is truly a home away from home.It is fully appointed with all the necessities which made our stay comfortable & relaxed. The kitchen is fully equiped with everything you need, even down to the sharp knife set. The home is fitted out with high quality fittings & furnishings.The bed in the master is very comfy,can be a bit noisy as situated on a main road, but honestly, it only took us a few nights to adjust, then slept like babies. Being up high there are lovely views & breezes. The deck & sunsets amazing. On arrival found the home very clean, well set out & presented. The location is excellent, public buses at your door, either to the city & South Bank, or Carindale shopping centre in the other direction. Off street parking for 3 vehicles on the property was great. The fully enclosed outdoor space for our pet was very secure with a high fence. The back deck has a child proof gate also. There is an off leash dog park a 10 minute walk away on Bennetts Rd. The home has A/C, which was such a relief when needed. This property really does " feel like home". The owners have gone that bit extra & given it their personal touch. Thank you Tracey & Richard for allowing us to make your home, our home, for a short time. A very well equipped home which felt like home the moment we walked in the door and a great location
We spent a week here over Christmas and were very impressed with the layout of the house. It’s location was handy to everywhere we needed to go. We spent a lot of time on the large deck and thought the entrance from the side street was very handy. The only negative was there was only one bathroom with the toilet in the same room which meant some organising between the 6 of us. All in all we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend the property.

Lovely home. Comfortable with great amenities, close to shops, transport, and clean. Great view.
I immediately felt at home upon arrival at this property. The back deck was amazing and gave wonderful city views. The home itself was extremely well proportioned, very clean and inviting. All services were first class and nothing had been left to chance. Offstreet parking was excellent. My only regret was having such a busy schedule while I was there so I was not able to just sit and relax - something I intend to rectify in the future. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone who enjoys comfort at quite a reasonable price. I really liked that the owner made contact upon arrival to check everything was ok and upon departure for the same, and was available if needed.

All you could need.
We stayed for a week while our place was being painted. It was conveniently located and a great size for our family of 4 and 2 fur babies. Convenient Location Great Amenities
Chill is well located close to a great antique shop and nice cafes. Very close to Carindale Shopping Centre. The house is very thoughtfully and well set up. Back deck is very relaxing and picks up a great evening breeze also nice for breakfast in the morning. Great off Street parking. Hosts are very friendly and good communicators. We really enjoyed our stay.

Hi there potential guests and possible hosts.

My husband (Richard) and I would love to host you at one of our private entire homes "Chill Camp Hill", "Hawthorne on the Park" and "Bella Bulimba". We also host 4 executive apartments in New Farm "LUXE on Brunswick" for it's owner Bill. We have both lived in Brisbane for over 25 years and we love our city! Whats more, we also love our little corner of Brisbane, yes we live in Camp Hill (only 5 mins from Hawthorne and Bulimba). So if you need help with the where/what/why we are more than happy to point you in the right direction.

We love to socialise and eating out with friends or entertaining guests at home is what we do.

We also love to travel, however now that we are getting a little bit older we love the comforts of home. The 3 properties are decked out with all the important stuff... too many to list but a clean kitchen, aircon, dishwasher, comfy beds and outdoor entertaining area (especially in warm climates) are our must haves these days.

We are looking forward to meeting you all and hope that you enjoy your stay.

Very easy for families to gather, this property now has a huge outdoor table & seating 8 people. Buses are at the door for a quick ride to the Hospitals/City/Southbank or Westfield Shopping Centre in the opposite direction.
